Judging by the activity level on our most recent visit, the "secret" may have gotten out to others — quite a number of people seemed to be having a good time that evening. It was a perfect night to sit on the outdoor (enclosed) deck and enjoy an April evening in Houston. The food was excellent — we enjoyed both beef and veal dishes, as well as the bread, pasta, and luscious chocolate cake-type dessert. And the service was, as usual, very good — timely, personable, fun, making the overall experience of the visit a very pleasant one. Having lived in the area for years, we chose Lomonte's for our last meal there before moving to a new home. The service was attentive but unobtrusive, the decor was interesting and the food was delicious and timed to meet a business schedule. The food selection was extensive enough to meet the needs of everyone. The beef marsala was cooked perfectly and the salad was crisp and colorful. The other diners had a large salad with grilled chicken and shrimp picante, which they seemed to also enjoy.
