  • "Food was good. Service was good with one exception. The waiter asked our table to provide a good review on Trip Advisor so many times we finally did it to shut him up. Then we found out the owner gives waiters $5 for every good review posted. Really tacky and incredibly unprofessional. Makes me not want to go back again even though it's in my neighborhood and convenient. If you go, be prepared for the ambush!!"

Salads were hearty with a good house dressing. Scampi was very tasty. Will return again this summer when we visit the area again. Wait staff all seemed to work together."

  • "Great front of the house staff & wonderful service. Willing and able to help out with a food allergy. Unfortunately the food just was not very good. Salad and soup were fine, bread was okay as well. As for our main courses; one dish tasted only of vinegar, and the other tasted like not much of anything at all. An Italian restaurant should be able to cook pasta dishes without having them texturally resemble paste. We actually wanted to go into kitchen the and ask the chef if he/she has ever tasted anything was being served."

  • "My wife and I had Valentines reservations for 8 PM and we were seated within 15 minutes of that time and they were slammed with patrons. Food was superb and flavorful. Love the bread and olive oil dip. We had the chicken Marsala which was outstanding. Service was a bit slow but for Valentine's that's to be expected. Patrons were still coming in at 10 PM."

  • "We went to Lombardo's on a Saturday night. It was our first visit to Myrtle Beach. The highlight of the evening was not the food (it was good, not exceptional), but the service and the entertainment. On Saturday night's they have live music that includes an electronic sythesizer and bass playing jazz standards, accompanied by local male and female singers, a trumpet player, and a flutist who simply show up and convert the instrumental duo into a number of different trios. Apparently this is a Saturday night tradition. If you enjoy jazz of the 1940 and 50s, it is a fun way to spend the evening."

The group next to our table spoke in very load voices and the concensus of opinion was that if and when we return we would ask to be seated in the dining area in the entrance area that did not have the tin ceilings. Noise level was much too loud."

  • "Came to Myrtle Beach for a few days in Nov. Read a review of Lombardo's and thought we would try it. The restaurant was on a busy corner and did not seem like much from the outside. We were so pleased upon entering to find it most tastefully decorated. Enjoyed the Christmas Tree and trimmings. It was just beautiful! Quiet and low lighting but not too low. Now on to the food!@ We had pasta and beef and it was delicious! The sauces were perfect, not too strong and not too weak, freshly made pasta that was so fresh and just delicious. If were are in the area again I would definately stop there. Waiter was so polite and seemed to always be nearby without hovering, he was a true champ and def added to the all aound great experience!"

  • "We were in town for a trade show - and three hungry people arrived very late (8:30 pm) on a Sunday evening, worried that we would be rushed and hurried - but absolutely the opposite. What a WONDERFUL experience! Mark and the other staff members made us feel so welcome. It was like we had our own personal caretakers. And of course the cuisine was fabulous. Starters of beef carpaccio and tomato/mozzarella, then I had lasagna, another guest had grouper, and the other had the special osso bucco. All AMAZING quality dishes, and we are picky diners who eat at a lot of fine restaurants. We will DEFINITELY be back the next time we're in town!!"

  • "We picked Lombardo's without any knowledge of the restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised. The first thing we noticed was the staff was friendly and accommodating. I ordered the sea bass and my wife the shrimp scampi. Both meals were delicious and served hot. The portions were large with the sea bass being about 8 ounces which was generous but very much appreciated. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The salads were also pretty large for a side salad and the ingredients fresh and crispy. This is a very nice restaurant with very good food. We will return the next time we are in Myrtle Beach."

Our waiter, Adam, checked in with us throughout the meal, and was helpful with menu descriptions and suggestions.   • "What can I say? I told Mrs. Lombardo that we saved the best for last, and we DID! So happy that we visited this awesome Italian restaurant!! Our last night in Myrtle Beach was the most memorable dinner we had, and the service was impeccable. Loved the touch of Mrs. Lombardo walking around and speaking to each and every table - not just a "how's everything?" conversation either - she was adorable!! Escargots were fabulous and plentiful! Carpaccio was a huge portion - good for sharing!! For our entrees - I had Osso Bucco with parmesan risotto - YUMMMM!! My husband had the veal parm - excellent taste and very tender! We will be back to Myrtle Beach - and back to Lombardo's!!!"

  • "The restaurant was recommended by friends who visit Myrtle Beach frequently. We come once or twice a year and almost always visit a different Italian Restaurant that is consistently good. The food at Lombardo's was dissappointing all around. We were a group of eight experienced diners, and none of us found the food to be anything but ordinary at best. Two of us had veal parmageon and the veal was ground, and not a veal cutlet. My wife had eggplant rollatini, and it was fried and not baked? Another guest had shrimp scampi and it had very little flavor. All in all a bad experience, and at the high end of the price range for comparable food. I would not recommend this restaurant for serious foodies."

  • "Literally waited 10 minutes for the waitress to greet us. We ordered the Flounder that comes in a sauce with onions, peppers & mushrooms. We asked to hold the sauce (and the side pasta) and substitute it with a "steamed" veggie medley that included onions, peppers, zucchini and squash. The veggies came out sauteed, not steamed - as ordered. And, they actually charged us an extra $2.95 for essentially the same side without the pasta. Flounder had multiple bones in it. No cares of our bad experience or helping us to have a good experience - all the GM wanted to do was explain why we were charged an extra fee for veggies. This should sum it up - - no cares, no concern, no service - no more business!!"
