A word from Lola's on Harrison
Opened in 2007, it remains a bastion of contemporary, American, upscale comfort food. Recently, the restaurant was taken over by Chef Bob Mignola, whose resume includes Smith & Wollensky in Miami Beach and The Post House in Manhattan. Mignola has worked with renowned Chef's David Burke, Bobby Flay & Michelle Bernstein. Mignola is breathing new life into this already outstanding dining establishment.

From the extraordinary boutique wine list, the seemingly endless selection of craft beers, an imaginative and alluring cocktail menu, to the offerings of artfully prepared cuisine, no step has been missed in selecting and preparing the finest and freshest of ingredients. Mignola will be showing off his culinary talents by introducing specials to compliment Lola's favorite selections such as the Coca Cola® Short Ribs and the Crab Cakes, which remain on the menu.

Diner Reviews
  • "Our party of four were down for a convention. Luckily I have family who live in Ft. Lauderdale and they were able to recommend this restaurant. Though they are very near the train tracks and parking is poor, the food and service were top notch. From appetizers to entree's, to drinks to desserts everyone enjoyed their food. The service was attentive without being cloying, and the atmosphere is what you expect for a Florida establishment. Pleasant, but lacking a professional touch."

  • "My husband and I came to Lola's for our anniversary dinner and it was wonderful! We sat right by the windows, our server was attentive, the food was amazing and we loved the ambiance. Usually we order from their lovely wine list but someone had given us a special bottle to celebrate with so we brought it with us. They charged a nominal corkage fee and served us as if we had bought it from them. I had the smoked pork chop and my husband had the sweet and sour pork, both were amazing and HUGE. I wish we would've ordered dessert instead of the chorizo appetizer. Will definitely come back!"

  • "Everything on the menu is delicious! The filet is always tender and my husband loves the chicken and the BBQ ribs. You can also substitute the shoestring fries for Parmesan potatoes au gratin. It's not really suitable for kids, since it's mostly adults out for a romantic dinner or drinks and socialising. The service can be a little slow, but it's not bad."

  • "The food was so great, the staff so friendly and helpful, that after our first time to Lola's, we decided to go back to eat again the next evening. The ribs were as promised, tasty and tender. The clams were served in a marinara that was on the re-order for the next evening. Fish tacos were the best I've ever eaten and although I normally don't take food home, I was not leaving without the leftovers. What a gem of a dining restaurant. It deserves a must stop for anyone looking for great food."

  • "overall - food was good; Good wine selection; reasonably priced; earnest, friendly & professional service...I'd come back for the ambience alone."

  • "We enjoy dining at Lolas not just for the food and wine/drink selections but for the staff and service as well. The host remembers us from previous visits and is always friendly and welcoming as is the rest of the staff. Very attentive without seeming overbearing of forced. We saw them treat a couple who had just purchased a house that day like family and showed a genuine concern for the happiness of their patrons which goes a long way in my book! (The excellence of the food not withstanding!) With the great food and service we receive at Lolas, its hard to go anywhere else on Harrison!"

  • "This quiet dining room had a sleek feel, and was incredibly welcoming. Just one block off the acion packed downtown, we were able to walk around after dinner for live music and more drinks. Great Location! Filled with Locals Food was outstanding. Menu had great variety, ribs and fish special were both prepared to perfection. Wine list was thoughtful. Pork Belly tacos, Crab Cakes and Shrimp apps were amazing too. Would go back. Would recommend for young adults and over, our 10 year old was the only child in the dining area."

  • "Hubby had coca cola ribs and I had the filet mignon. Both very good, cooked as ordered, and large portions. Service was also perfect."

  • "We went early and there were only 2 other couples. Started getting busy around 6:30. The Ricotta Gnocchi was amazing! Enough for 2 or 3 people. The coca cola ribs.. OMG! Definitely coming back!"

  • "I always eat at Lola's when in town for business. Recently, I went twice in one week. It never fails to wow me. They are known for their Coca-Cola ribs.. which are terrific.. but I've ventured out with the chicken with maple syrup (succulent, tasty) and the salmon on lentils (super).. the side dishes are just great. The creamed corn is amazing. Being a sucker for butterscotch pudding, I tried this and licked the bowl clean. The prices are as expected for this caliber of food. The service is very friendly.. it's super-fine dining in a hip, casual setting. I only wish they had an outpost in New Orleans, where I live.. known for its food.. but I'd take Lola's over any in my own home town."

  • "Thank you Open Table for sugesting Lola's. While Holywood Blvd was jammed with no place to park, just one block away is Lola's. Although we only have this one visit to compare to, everything about this place was nice and I doubt that you could find a bad choice on the menu. A smaller scale, very queit, very comfortable great food and great service."

  • "Located on Hollywood Beach's 'Restaurant Row', ambience is sophisticated, staff all very accommodating, food very good. Only downside is that they close rather early for a vacation spot."

  • "Good food and the noise level in the second room gives people a chance to hear conversations."

  • "Food was better than average. Beef ribs were tastie but sauce was too heavy. Sword fish was good but needed a better sauce."
    Dined on 2/22/2014
  • "Although the maître D' accommodated our needing to make the reservation later, he had a bit of an attitude when we called for better service (we waited quite a while to order and then more so for attention during the meal). The swordfish portion was meager, though the veal and steak were not. Apparently there has been a change in ownership and some of the long-standing favorites have been changed. We were fond of the trout and breaded chop presentations. This restaurant should tell you if they are having a large party that will take attention from the other diners. If you seek a quiet meal, seek it elsewhere. On the positive side, there is always free parking in the lot behind the restaurant,"

  • "Although the food was ok and the waiter friendly they were not very helpful. My cousin has a garlic allergy and they were not willing to make anything without garlic. We would have left, but it was late and we were hungry, My cousin was surprised that they wouldn't try to help out and all she ate was a mushroom. She left the restaurant very unhappy and I was embarrassed, as it was my suggestion."

  • "While as a couple, we frequent Lola's for the food, I have focused on other restaurants for business dinners. But, out of convenience to my business guests staying on the south side of Ft Lauderdale airport, I picked Lola's for a business dinner. The décor and service isn't stuffy nor loud, so we could have a great evening where we got to know and enjoy each other better while enjoying some excellent wine and food."

  • "Restaurant has a nice feel to it, the service was excellent and staff was very friendly. First time to Hollywood area and we were looking for a new restaurant. We really enjoyed the presentation of the food. The appetizers, salads and sides were very well prepared and very good (well above average), but we were disappointed with the main courses -- steaks and St. Louis style ribs -- they missed the mark. I ordered the steak medium and the temperature on the inside was fine, but overcooked (burnt taste) on the outside. Steaks were not up to par with those of most upscale restaurants. The ribs were not our favorite We are not likely to return, but are glad we went and would recommend that others give it a try."

  • "We are tired of the same old places to eat and decided to try others in the area. Lola's had good reviews on a couple of sites so we tried it. The food was great. My wife had the pork chop and I the fillet. Both were well seasoned and great. The fries, yes fries, were wonderful."

  • "We visited from out of town but would definitely return if we are in area again. Lovely decor, wonderful service by knowledgeabl, warm staff. Food is obviously well thought out and executed, both in presentation and taste. We saw many dishes being delivered to other tables that we would order next time! Can't go wrong here!"

  • "When we entered we realized that we had been here a few times in the past and it wasn't that good then. The place wasn't at all full, but the noise level was so high that if we hadn't already ordered, we would have escaped. Offered us water but were out of the suggested selection. Waiter was pleasant but didn't really offer much time to study the menu and kept coming back frequently with "are you ready yet?" What ever happened to the "please indicate when you are ready to order?" If they were full up, we could understand but only a few noisy tables...opened the bottle of wine, but we had to do our own pouring after. Food was ordinary. Probably would have been better if not for the ambience, but dining must include all the components."

  • "The food is quite good at Lolas and the service was impeccable. Our only complaint was that the filet was accompanyed by a giant mound of fries and no vegatable. Something green on the plate would have been nice."

  • "New to the Hollywood area, we read about this restaurant and decided to try it on Sat. eve. We were going to be a little late due to our movie running longer than expected. I called and was assured it would not be a problem even though it was prime time:6:3-7PM. We found an intimate space right in the middle of Downtown, attentive staff, very good food, and all in all a very good experience."

  • "We had not been to Lolas since the restaurant changed hands but our Host and Waiter, Adrian and Julian happened to be the same stafff we had had on our previous visit. They provided us and from what we overheard, eveyone else with outstanding service! We were treated just as nicely as regulars and felt quite at home. The food was great as was the wine selection. We enjoyed everything about our experience from the minute we walked in till we left. Good food, and wine, good prices and a very pleasant ambience and outgoing and friendly staff says volumes about Lolas! We'll be back very soon!"

  • "Lola's is truly a five-star experience. The service staff is friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and happy - they truly care about their customers. Beyond the front-of-the-house, the kitchen staff prepares sumptuous and delicious meals. On my most recent visit, I had the Coca-Cola ribs, onion rings, BBQ pork tacos (as an appetizer), and a creme brulee desert. Everything was prepared and presented perfectly and tasted excellent. Overall, a five-star recommendation :)"

  • "Everything about Lola/s was great. The drinks were reasonably priced and a good size. The chic decor was very appealing. The service was professional but friendly. Portions were good -sized and easy to share. The grouper was delicious with a little bit of a kick and an Asian flair. The short ribs were excellent and the fried onion rings were outrageous! We loved this place!"

  • "2013 New Years eve at Lola's was GREAT!. It was the standard menu with several wonderful specials. My favorite bartender Martin was there. is man makes the BEST MARTINIS in Broward. We started our evening with a round of Martini's, and then we ordered our starters. Onion soup that was divine. WE had one Cesar and two wedges. All were terrific. The highlight of the evening went to my husbands steak. Rib steak, Prime meat, and those who like meat, said it was the top they have tasted in a long time. The Coco Cola ribs were finger licking good, and the onion rings were just he way I love them. . The only thing that was different, was that there was no crowd at the bar. FYI This place has a great HAPPY HOUR."
