Lola Seattlebest donutsAll the dishes Lola recommended which I ordered are just absolutely delicious.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMLola For Sure!Great spot for happy hour and breakfast. Make reservations if you want a spot for breakfast, especially weekends. Terrific eggs benedict, service and coffee. There is something for everyone on the menu. Try the doughnuts....lovely and made to order.
This is a busy place with a great vib.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThe outstanding dish was theThe outstanding dish was the octopus; everything about it was extraordinary. All of the flavors worked and the octopus was tender. However, the lamb kabob was disappointing and chewy.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing brunch spot. LoveAmazing brunch spot. Love mushroom scramble, halumi kebab, donuts!!!6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food!We went here for our anniversary. My husband had steak and I had the pork. My husband said that his steak was very good. My pork was excellent!. I usually don't order pork because it is usually too thick. These pork chops were thin and cooked to perfection. The meat was very flavorful and tender. What a wonderful meal!6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMNo Kinks in this LolaBeing from the Bay Area, we didn't know the downtown Seattle restaurant options. We found Lola on OT, the reviews led us to choose this little gem and we were very pleasantly surprised. It has a great ambience, wonderful Greek-inspired menu items and the very friendly staff helped us make some great choices whose names on the menu were all Greek to me :-) If I lived 600 miles closer, I'd be a regular!6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways Interesting and FlawlessThe consistency and quality of Lola keeps us coming back for more. Many locals think we live here, though we visit from SF several times a year. We wish we had a place like this in the SF Bay Area. We always love the fish preps, along with lots of summer veggies. The kebabs are always tasty. Get the flatbread with the Lola spreads for a great starter!!!!6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMUpscale Greek done wellThe food here is delicious and satisfying. My favorite are the pork kebabs with honey-harissa glaze, and the haloumi cheese & fig kebabs glazed with a fig balsamic. With a side of smashed garlic potatoes for the table, it makes for a delicious, full-sized meal. Our table started with a selection of spreads served with fresh, grilled pita. The Kopanisti (pistachio)/mavrodaphne is wonderful, and tastes strongly of blue cheese. The (Roasted sweet red pepper) is my favorite go-to, it's sweet and smoky. And of course, the Tzatziki! Nice and garlicky, just the way I like it. Fun cocktail ideas, and a cool, modern atmosphere make this a great stop for brunch, lunch or dinner any time!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMLOLA - WE LOVE YOU!Just having disembarked from a cruise ship and needing a really good breakfast before flying across country, we found LOLA open early in the morning. THANK YOU! Great coffee, the freshest of juices, perfect but not overbearing service, and breakfast - where do I start. Eggs Benedict - best ever with outstanding Hollandaise. Perfectly cooked eggs. Donuts that required a second order and almost a third. Sausage and thick cut bacon that was decadent. Usually I am a liberal user of salt and pepper at breakfast, but today, didn't touch the stuff. Fresh granola for the vegeterian of the family and a fresh salmon and mushroom omelet for my wife that was sooo good!!! The only downside - LOLA is about 1700 miles from home!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was FANTASTIC.The service was FANTASTIC. Every bite of food was delicious. The dounuts are not on the dessert menu. Be sure to ask for them6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMBest dinner in SeattleComfortable setting. Waiter was attentive but not overbearing. The food was especially delicious. It turned out to be the best dinner we had in Seattle. The kitchen accommodated my eating needs. The menu satisfied both those with a creative palate and others with a more traditional taste.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious but priceyThere are so many things to love about Lola! The engaging professional service, the octopus, the skewers, the amazing beignets for dessert! The pricing has somehow gotten away from value- a 19.95 sampler was tasty but tiny with 2 small pieces of grilled bread for 5 different very small tastes. In total dinner for three- appetizers and small plates only with one $38 bottle of wine and one dessert- was $160 before tip. Just enough food for moderate eaters, but spendy.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMTom's Big Breakfast is a must have!As a local Seattleite we're very lucky to have such an amazing chef like Tom Douglas. All of his restaurants are fantastic, but Lola's is a must for brunch... and the Bloody Mary is the perfect starter. If you're in town visiting don't miss this gem. Also, be sure and save some room and visit Tom's Dahlia Bakery just across the street.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience overallWe haven't been to Lola in awhile but we will be back again soon! Overall a super dining experience with super service and super food. Service was friendly, prompt and attentive but not overwhelming. The salmon special was especially tasty but we enjoyed everything we had. A great spot to go before a show at the Moore.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMBreakfast, Lunch, Dinner..Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.. Always so good! Comfort food done with interest. Dined many many times & always look forward to the next time!5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMlove the foodI love all of the restaurants by Tom Douglas. At his restaurants, I always get what I expect... the best food! Three of us got there around 10:30 a.m. so we decided to order 2 breakfast dishes and 2 lunch dishes. I absolutely loved the Tom's breakfast dish. Octopus was the fantastic touch! It was my favorite. The service was okay.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMBest dinner in SeattleI was in Seattle for a conference and Lola was the best dinner of our visit. Everything we ate was delicious and the staff were very friendly. The dips and saganaki were amazing!5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat BreakfastSunday at 9am was pretty busy but my party of 2 were seated right at our reservation time. Great eggs Benedict and bloody Mary's! Great customer service, even during the busy weekend.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat East Med food - with a twistWe love Greek, Turkish and Lebanese small plate dining and Lola offers a high end version of that with great spreads and kebabs (try the haloumi and fig one!). Been there before and will come back again and will have their super-airy mini doughnuts for dessert (again) - just hope I can have Greek coffee next time, seems weird that's not available when ouzo and retsina is?5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous brunchWill definitely return next time we are in Seattle.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent mix of small platesExcellent mix of small plates for sharing. Great service, very prompt and helpful with suggestions. Excellent bar as well. We will definitely be going back to Lola.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had to wait long past ourWe had to wait long past our reservation time because of another group being slow. We appreciated the management communicating with us about it and giving us a free appetizer.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had lunch outside - ItWe had lunch outside - It was a beautiful day and the dining area was flooded with sunshine. The appetizer with multiple spreads and pita was a delight - so many different flavors. The grilled squid was good. I like a bit more spice and heat which this selection did not have. The Italian Pinot Gris was awesome especially outside in the sun!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious!Lola has a great, unique menu. Everything was made fresh and the server explained every ingredient. It was delicious! I went with a fried who is Greek and he said it was very authentic, with a twist.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch with the girlsOur reservation was delayed about 10 minutes. Other than that, all was well! Wonderfully attentive waitstaff! Great non-alcoholic beverage options for brunch (though you could add vodka if you'd like). In season items. :)4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMI was very impressed withI was very impressed with the food and customer service. I read the reviews before making reservation. I did not read one negative review, that's awesome!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMI enjoyed the food here veryI enjoyed the food here very much, it was the best food I have eaten in a long time. The service was great. The family style dishes were an excellent conversation piece for my date. However, we were sat across from the wait staff's supply counter, so there was a lot of traffic by the staff right next to us, which was distracting and also not a very pleasant seating view. There was no barrier to the area and multiple staff were there at the same time. I had requested romantic and quiet seating online so was displeased to have been sat directly across from the wait staff supply area.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMMany have heard rave reviewsMany have heard rave reviews about Lola's donuts, and although they live upto the hype, I'm writing this review based on their AMAZING eggs benedict. I've never been a huge lover of bennies, but this dish changed my mind. Lola's benny is that on which I will judge all future bennies, and I fear most will fall short. And the jalepeno-infused Bloody Marys are nothing I'll soon forget either. As for service, we arrived early for our reservation, and Lola patrons are treated to the lobby of the adjoining hotel to await seating - much more comfortable than any other wait I've had at a restaurant!! We were seated on time, and our server went above and beyond to explain key menu items and make suggestions. A wonderful birthday brunch!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful food!! EverythingWonderful food!! Everything was incredibly fresh and love that it's as locally sourced as possible. The service was fantastic as well, especially our waiter, Jasper, who was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMI can always count on LolaI can always count on Lola for a delicious and interesting meal. The braised lamb was perfectly prepared and I enjoyed the recommended wine pairing with it. To top it off, our server was great - very knowledgeable and attentive. I looked forward to visiting again.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGasp, take a deep breath, ecstasyKiller Leg of lamb thinly sliced and stacked on a smashed potato with greens, the griddled pita and kopanisti spread = worthy of the gods. And, whatever you do, don't have the Yogurt-semolina pudding matched with Sigales vin santo: you just may not be able to cope with this dessert's complexity. Fair warning! Sensational food. Read no more...GO. Now.
Tom - Leucadia, CA4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Food and ServiceEverything was delish and the service was superb! Had been dying to try Lola, one of the few Tom Douglas restaurants that I did not already count among my faves... did not disappoint. Seattle Restaurant Week was the perfect opportunity to try it out - had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly! Crispy skin, medium rare but not mushy. Also had the chocolate hazelnut torte with orange ice cream for dessert, it was divine. YUM!4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMA great breakfast spotTreated my wife and I to a Sunday breakfast at Lola. It was outstanding. The service was outstanding -- our server was always there when we needed him and never when we didn't. The food was similarly excellent. On our server's recommendation I had the Tom's Big Breakfast -- poached egg, peppers and veggies, octopus and garlic yogurt. The flavors blended together well and the octopus was very tender, not rubbery at all. I was skeptical but it won me over. I would go again in a heartbeat.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMLoLa is Greek food at itsLoLa is Greek food at its finest. Tender lamb, delicious dolmas, beautiful desserts. It's a great place to have dinner after work downtown Seattle for a special occasion.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time at Lola and willFirst time at Lola and will definitely be back. Tom Douglas has a magic touch when it comes to running restaurants and producing great food.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMService is excellent on theirService is excellent on their timing and information. The booths are private enough you might not notice what is going on around you. Food is excellent as usual, this time the food was amazing. Close to many downtown interests.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster afternoon was our thirdEaster afternoon was our third time at Lola. The food and service are consistently good. Good location, nice decor. We'll be back.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMOk, it's almost ridiculousOk, it's almost ridiculous for me to review Lola. It has been my favorite restaurant for at least 5 years. Never (EVER) had a bad meal there and this was no exception. Started with the octopus appetizer (changes every season) and it was great. My bride had the beet salad (it was huge) and loved it. We split an entree (greek sausage with orzo--plenty for two) and it was superb. Added an order of smashed potatoes and we were all set. Service by Kevin was outstanding as it always is at Lola. We love Tom Douglas' restaurants but we really love Lola. Can't wait for the new Asian fusion Tanaka-san to open.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious, Greek 'inspired'Delicious, Greek 'inspired' food. Roast chicken was very nice, as was the Greek salad with a large chunk of smoked feta. Just sorry we had no room for the handmade doughnuts... next time, perhaps!3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Restaurant!Lola's is our number one restaurant for dining when visiting downtown Seattle. The food is always remarkable!3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThird time at Lola and itsThird time at Lola and its never failed to impress. Great service, food and ambience. Definitely would recommend "Tom's big dinner", excellent selection of some of their most delicious food items.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMLola can please you & your friends!Large business dinner for a group of 10 and they did a great job.
Everyone enjoyed their meals, apps, entrees and desserts.
The Idaho trout is a great lighter dish and the crab is the other side of the scale
Both were hits!3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing service and excellentAmazing service and excellent food. Only thing that could be improved would be pricing. It's a bit on the high end of price for the quality of the food.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat lunch optionIf you're looking for a spot to get lunch in a hour with some flavor and variety in your lunch break, Lola's is the spot for you. The right amount of protein, vegetables and carbs in their skewer lunch entrees...just beware of the tasty Tzatziki/yogurt sauce, the garlic zing will linger.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and the service wereThe food and the service were superb. We had a couple of spreads--delicious as usual, a nicely prepared black cod, a side of brussel sprouts and the classic Greek Spaghetti. All tasty dishes. The wine list here needs to be updated. They do some pours by the glass --unexciting stuff --but given the flavorful nature of the food, the wine offerings disappoint. We always enjoy Lola, but my fear is it is becoming a bit too formulaic.3/10/2013 12:00:00 AMA must visit place when in SeattleThe eggs benedict is one of the best in the city! The doughnuts are to die for; soft and pillowy accompanied with seasonal jam.
The service was very attentive and price was very affordable.
Excellent for a small group and families.2/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful brunchA wonderful place for breakfast; the doughnuts and eggs Benedict are very good.Service is prompt and courteous.1/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe spreads are always greatThe spreads are always great as is the Greek spaghetti. Our black cod was delicious but served a bit cold. It's a delicate fish but you need to get the serving temperature right. Overall the flavors are varied and wonderful and service is upbeat and professional.12/30/2012 12:00:00 AMI love Lola. Breakfast, lunchI love Lola. Breakfast, lunch or dinner it is still my favorite restaurant in the world. And Tom's Big Breakfast is still my favorite breakfast. Always has octopus and usually bacon. And then what ever is seasonal and interesting. It seems to change every quarter. Never had a combination that I didn't love. This time it had butternut squash, onions, cabbage, bacon with a greek yogurt w/harissa underneath and a sunny side egg on top. Delicious. My lovely bride had the mushroom scramble and loved it. Can't wait to go back again.12/23/2012 12:00:00 AMlovely quick snack spotWe've dined at 2 Tom Douglas restaurants - Dahlia Lounge & Lola. Overall, not really impressed. Although Lola seems to be a hot spot and really packs a crowd of locals, the food is good but not notable and the lighting is dim but harsh. We tried about 5 items on the menu and none were outstanding and the bill was on the higher side. If you're looking for a social spot to mingle with friends and money is not an issue, this is a good choice.10/26/2012 12:00:00 AM
