Lola - Great NeckFood very good but very noisyFood very good but very noisy weekends. Only one waiter w assistants. Waiter also served as bartender and host so he was overtaxed and less attentive to tables than necessary.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMReally Good FoodWe had the tapas menu. Every dish we had was excellent. Lola is truly a dining experience. All my sisters, nieces, and daughters are anticipating a time soon when we can all get together and go there.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat meal, would returnFirst dinner at Lola, very pleased with all aspects of the meal. The food was delicious, especially duck sliders and truffle/mushroom pizza tart appetizers. Menu had a good variety of proteins and cuisines. Kit kat dessert was good but a bit overpowering. Service was very good, attentive, knowledgeable and friendly without being too intrusive. Decor is nice but not remarkable; we had an early dinner on a very rainy Friday evening so it was rather quiet, I imagine it would be livelier at other times. As we were leaving it appeared that a singer was setting up, glad we missed that as it's a pretty small space for live music & reasonable dinner conversation.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMFoie gras was outstanding.Foie gras was outstanding. Homemade foccacia superb! I had tuna---yummy!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic Food Decor ServiceThis is one of the best restaurants on Long Island. Every dish is fantastic. Freshest ingredients used. Presentation perfection on a plate. Staff on point. Will certainly return.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMLove LOLA!Best food outside of Manhattan! Chef Michael Ginor's food is fit for foodies but at prices that don't break the bank. Food is artfully presented and delicious. Michael will personally stop by each table to say hello and chat. Outstanding food at reasonable prices, and a personal appearance by the Chef...LOLA is always a winner! Great tapas and singing by Chris Moll on Thursday's too. Not to be missed neighborhood gem.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was good especiallyThe food was good especially the smoked brisket. he brussel sprouts were crunchy and delicious, very different from the ordinary. Itis a bit pricey.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the bestThis was one of the unexpected pleasant dining surprises I have had. Every dish was unique and flavorful. I never I thought I would like brussels sprouts but they proved me wrong. A great evening with great service.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways wonderfulWe always enjoy this restaurant. Great wine list, and a wide variety of food. Michael Ginor takes great care with the food, and has a hands-on approach. He comes around to talk to all his customers, and takes personal interest in how they're enjoying their meals. Wonderful, inventive desserts too. Can't go wrong.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMRestaurant Week good dealThis was a very good deal for Restaurant Week. Three courses only $27.95. We had foi gras and fish tacos for appetizers. The fish was a very large portion and very good. The foi gras is like eating a pate of butter but I guess people like it. I had duck breast for the main course and it was very nicely cooked but very salty. My husband had braised short ribs and it was very good and beautifully presented. The ice cream sundae for dessert was not at all sweet and the bread pudding was fair. The service was excellent.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food and Attentive ServiceWe ordered, shared and devoured the Cod Fish Tacos; Scallops Japanese Izakaya Style, Maine Lobster, Salmon, and Scallops; and Grilled Hanger Steak and had at least 3 refills of hot Foccacia.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMTry It; You'll Like ItBest restaurant in Great Neck. Probably the best on the Island. However, the service needs to be improved!!4/24/2013 12:00:00 AM1st Time/1st ImpressiokThis was my first time to this establishment and I was pleasantly surprised. The food and presentation were both amazing. I chose the seared foie gras which turned out to be the best I ever had. My mixed seafood entree was delicate and tender. The portion size was just right.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMLola is small and intimateLola is small and intimate and I love it! ive been back there several times and each visit is better than the last. I suggest you go hungry as you will want to try a few things on the menu.
Also - LOVE that they removed the TV that was once in the dining room. It is a distraction and I feel like if you want to eat and watch TV you should stay at home - It does not belong in a restaurant of this caliber.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is without question theThis is without question the best restaurant on Long Island. With a scaled up wine list, it would rival the best New York has to offer. The 5 course tasting menu at $65 is a steal.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved It!We loved the menu, the food was excellent, the staff warm & professional, the place cozy.
