I have tried many restaurants for brunch in Denver over the last year or two. LOLA is hands down the best brunch you will find. The staff is fun and welcoming and the food is simply amazing, it is very fulfilling, If you have not had a chance to try LOLA you should, you will leave happy and want to come back.

This restaurant was recommended in the book Gabby Gourmet that we enjoy using on our Denver trips to visit new places to eat. What an amazing experience we enjoyed. The food was amazing, the staff was pleasant and helpful and it was a treat to watch so many others enjoying their food and dining experience as well. We will definitely will be back and will also try their brunch.

This restaurant lived up to its hype. Three of us recently enjoyed a mid-morning brunch were we sampled the Panaderia Sampler, Lolaburguesa, Chicharron Benny, and the Lobster Green Chile Omelet. The flavors of each meal were well balanced and satiated our hunger. We're anxious to come back and try their dinner options.

My husband and I took my parents, who were visiting from out of town, to Lola's for my mothers 61st birthday. We had an absolutely wonderful experience. We had a reservation, and they seated us at a table that was next to the open kitchen. My mother was a little too warm in that location, so the waiter and hostess very kindly accommodated our request for a quieter table without a fuss. Our waiter was excellent. He answered all of our questions about the menu and was warm and friendly. The food came out promptly. We started with the butternut squash fundida, and all thought it was great. Everyone's entrees were delicious as well. Then dessert on the house for my mom's birthday. All in all, it was a great meal!

Lola is right around the block from me. Even though my first meal there was great, I was worried we'd end up there too often. Well, 4 months after moving into the neighborhood we have probably been there 6 times and every meal had been terrific. I don't worry about going there too often because the service is always great and the food is yummy.

The atmosphere and service were excellent. The margs & the flavors of the food were good. However, the execution was a little to be desired. We started with the ceviches flight, halibut, scallops and shrimp which was good. For the main course we had the El Jefe' and the Salmon Veracruz. This is were the flavors were there but not the execution. The salmon was a bit on the cold side and over cooked on the exterior. The same thing was true with the El Jefe'. The chicken was very overcooked to the point that parts were not chewable. Now I didn't mention any of this to the server as we were on a date and were having a good time and perhaps because we took so long with the starters that the main course sat too long in the kitchen.

A great place to meet up with friends. They are always changing up their menu and have many unique Mexican inspired dishes. Definitely try the guacamole- they will mix it up table side to your liking. This was also fun for a birthday get-together. No cheesy song, but I did get a choco taco with a candle. :-) Definitely worth going!

And it was ok. It was very busy but we were seated on time for our reservation. We ordered several different things, one being the whole fish which was very good. The special they had that night however, was awful. As in inedible. When asked we complained and it was promptly taken back and we were given another entree. Very good service and the server was very apologetic for the bad plate. The second dish was much better. I will say for the cost the food was just so so though and I don't know that I would go back any time soon. Great drinks and a decent wine list. Love the free valet parking as it can be annoying to find a spot in the area.

We have eaten here before and this last time the menu seemed very different and not as much to pick from as before. No special for the night besides tacos. Good happy hour! It was a Monday night so maybe that the menu is different. I had Seabass there a couple of times and it was to die for! Not on the menu and not a lot of dishes with a unique flair stood out. Fun place though!

Normally the food is great and staff is great. This time both were not good at all. Couldn't finish what we ordered. The hostess i.e. the girl at the front counter, not the one seating...was rude. She's been rude every time I've gone so I'm kind use to it. Other than that I plan to go back. One bad experience is not a big deal at all. Thanks

Food not impressive at our meal. For instance, Guacamole was prepared at the table by a chief but it wasn't very good. This dish is very dependent on the quality of the fruit. It would be a good idea to source tasty A.'s instead of serving bland, tasteless variety I can get at any Safeway. In general, a lot of foodie descriptions, bells and whistles but then the product was not impressive. Enchiladas arrived cold, etc. etc.

Fantastic dining experience. My mom flew in from Connecticut and my brother and his wife came in from LA and we had a fabulous dinner at Lola. It's Mexican with a coastal flare. Great ambiance, friendly professional staff, exquisite food. If you order chips and guacamole, they'll make fresh guacamole right in front of you and customize it to your spiciness preference, very cool! They're extensive tequila selection and tequila cocktails is what I really enjoyed about Lola. I had read beforehand that Lola was named "Top 5 places to drink tequila in North America" I believe it! Very nice restaurant right in the heart of Denver's trendy and cute lower highlands "LoHi" neighborhood. Very highly recommended.

We enjoyed our evening at Lola, the service and food quality were very good. Living a few blocks from the restaurant, we often stop in for brunch, dinner or just a margarita. Happy hour all night Mondays is an added bonus. I ordered the salmon off of the regular menu this week, the dish was very well done and quite tasty, though i thought for the price $27 the portion of fish was very small. We will continue to visit Lola, as it is a cool and interesting restaurant.
