Highly over-rated. Pierogi cold & doughy. Beet Salad cheese tangy ? like it was ready to curdle. Duck & scallops both bland & tasteless. Manager visited & apologized, maybe Monday is the chef's night off??

We had high expectations based upon the connection to Chef Symon. There were a couple of service errors that kept it from a 5 rating. But they did try to rectify everything so that the experience wasn't ruined. Some food selections were way better than others. Pasta was s disappointment but beef, lamb, bone marrow and pate were outstanding.

Hadn't been in several years, last experience was good, not great, so we had been going to Lolitas for our Michael Symon fix, which was wonderful. This time everything at Lola's was outstanding, food and service! Atmosphere was fun, Cavs game night. We ordered salads and ribeyes, both absolutely delicious. Service was excellent, night and day from out last experience!

Took my father to Michael Simon’s Lola Bistro for their fresh oysters and mignonette sauce. He selected the Smoked Hampshire Pork Chop for dinner. He enjoyed both the oyster appetizer and pork entree. The wait staff was very knowledgeable about the menu, food preparation and the service was outstanding. This a great place for foodies and wonderful culinary experience.

We loved the overall atmosphere, the drinks menu at the bar was great and the wine list was exceptional. All the food was very good and but the duck entree was truly exceptional. The only drawback really is the noise level; it isn't "energetic" is is close to deafening. One of our guest was a soft spoken young woman and we strained to hear her throughout dinner. Everyone just talks louder and louder to be heard. It is absolutely worth a trip, but it isn't the right atmosphere for a 'getting to know you' or 'first date' evening. Again though, the food is great and the service is as well.

Fantastic experience every time! - whether I dine with my family, friends or a romantic getaway with my husband I have been thrilled with the level of engagement I receive from every staff member. The food is always current and as locally sourced as possible. Every chance I get to introduce another person to this amazing restaurant (yes it is worth the 5 hour drive) they feel the same way I do. the beef cheek perogies are decadent and big enough to share with two people. the hanger steak is always a favorite, and the scallops are perfect every time!

Very comfortable atmosphere, however a bit dark. Wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Bone marrow appetizer was incredible. One entree was the duck which was cooked perfectly. Other entree was scallops and they were delicious. Tried the Lola fries....I was not a fan of them because of the intense flavor of rosemary. The other person at the table really enjoyed them. Had a trio of ice cream for dessert. Would highly recommend the honey, fig and goat cheese ice cream. If you like tart, which I do after a meal, go for the cranberry lime sorbet....it was the perfect ending for me. Neither of us liked the Chai ice cream....tasted like cinnamon cereal....but we ate it anyway! It is moderately priced, but I am a fan of Iron Chef Michael Symon, so I was willing to spend a bit more for his food.

Overall the food, ambiance and service were very good especially if you were a meat eater, which I am but my wife is not. It is unfortunate that almost all the seafood/fish entrees had meat products in them as my wife does not eat meat So she had to ask them to leave the meat component out of the seafood dish she ordered.

Fantastic food all the way around. Staff was well-trained, attentive and friendly. It was packed on a Wednesday night so reservations are recommended. Bone marrow melted in your mouth - this was pricey but a large serving with accoutrements. Beet salad was perfect. Cod was crispy and creamy. Dessert cheese plate was enough for 4 people. Highly recommend.

Lola's lives up to its reputation. I ordered the duck, a non-traditional choice for me, and my wife had scallops. We were both satisfied. Our waitress was attentive without being over-bearing. I liked the innovation of having the wine list on an iPad, allowing customers to sort by price, type of grape, country of origin, etc.

Our family of four recently dined at Lola before the Bob Dylan concert. The service was outstanding and very attentive. Two of us ordered the rib steak and found it to be sublime! Our daughters had the pork chop and the hanger steak which were both absolutely delicious! In addition, we enjoyed some lovely salads and appetizers. We noted that we needed to be on our way for the concert by a specific time and not only did our servers meet the request, they also called a cab for us. We never felt rushed either. We love this gem of a restaurant and have been recommending it to all of our friends. Please don't change a thing Michael!

When I bought tickets to see Alton Brown in Cleveland, I knew I also had to dine at Lola. I had been wanting to visit Lola for several years but I couldn't justify a 3+ hour drive just for dinner, thanks AB for giving me the excuse to drive up! Lola certainly exceeded my expectations. We arrived for our 10:45pm reservation and were seated immediately, the service was fast and friendly. The food though, oh my word, THE FOOD! I ordered the smoked Hampshire pork chop, it was cooked to perfection and the play of flavors between the smoky chop, the sweet creamy polenta and the tangy spicy chiles made this dish one of my top meals ever! For dessert we ordered the 6 a.m. special to split and it too was fabulous and very shareable. Thank you Lola!

It was the first time I had been to lola, and I made my reservation weeks in advance. Because of this, there was a lot of anticipation for the meal. This is one of the few times I can say my expectations were exceeded. The service was the best I have ever had, and the meal was even better. I had the smoked pork chop, and now I have to go back to see if the rest of the menu is that good. I am not sure its possible, but I am up for the task. If you are reading this and undecided about going, do yourself a huge favor and go.

In town for a night and the restaurant was recommended. Promptly seated by the hostess and greeted by server. Small table and requested larger but not immediately available. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The noise level was extremely high and very difficult to have a conversation. Our starters of salad and lobster were tasty. My wife loved her scallops for the main course. Asked for my salmon to be cooked a tad over medium- it came out well done and a bit dry but enjoyable nonetheless. As with many restaurants the portion was quite small. Liked the open kitchen but it contributes to the noise level. Overall pleasant dining experience but nothing extraordinary. Noise level would keep me from returning.

This was our first weekend in Cleveland and our first trip to Lola. We enjoyed both very much. The wine list is incredible and comes listed on an IPad (it's that large). You can sort several ways, but it's a challenge finding the one you want. That said, the server was very helpful in identifying something that would work with our dinners. One down side is that it was very "energetic" otherwise known as loud. As with all such restaurants, we spoke loudly to be heard thus contributing our share to the noise level. The food was very good, but my husband was disappointed that his pork was a bit tough. All in all, a very nice restaurant. We will certainly go again.

Bread and salads were great. The hanger steak, ordered medium-rare, was cool-center rare and on the verge of being raw. The pork chop, ordered medium, was medium-rare, and the gelatinous fat was not trimmed off. We should have sent both of these dishes back, but didn't. The cheesy polenta was excellent. The restaurant is too dark to see the food you are eating. Definitely won't be going back.
