Appetizer pork belly flavourful but bacon or cracklin' was too hard to chew. Bacon wrap kept sturgeon main moist but sofrito not spicy enough and green beans not quite right veg for the dish. Pana cotta was superb dessert!

Michael Symon's signature site certainly is a GEM. Ok, the is one negative. It is noisy. Everything else about Lola makes it worth a visit anytime you can enjoy it. My beef heart dish was one of the most exquisite plates I ever have tasted. The beet salad enhanced the meal. In each dish there was a blending of ingredients that made each ingredient stand out and add to the dish's enjoyable flavor. Service was quick, knowledgeable and quietly present.

Atmosphere was very welcoming and nice. Server was great although recommendations were all the same. ("Its Outstanding") So I got the lamb which was a little tough but all right. It really was not as tasty as lamb can be. My husband loved his scallops. (So did I!!) My husband and I each got two drinks which were good. Also, I could not get a reservation for two before 8:00 and when we got there, there were SEVERAL open tables (not altogether waiting for a later group reservation) and then we were still a little late getting seated. Ambiance was nice though. We went because we had a gift card. Not sure I'll run right back there although will never rule that out!!!.

We celebrated my wife's birthday. Got their early and sat at the bar. The bartender was great. I checked in and within minutes we were seated. To watch the cooks in the kitchen making all of the meals was a show in it's self. The food was great and will definitely be going back!!

Lola is still the top restaurant in Cleveland, ahead of its time, and now other restaurants are trying to catch up.. The food is always solid from my experience over the last 20 times I have been there. They always have some great choices that always impress. Wine list is also a great compliment. If your looking to have an experience, which it assume we all are when we go out, and not just dinner, I recommend Lola. I've been in Northeast Ohio for over 25 years and I can unequivocally say this is a true Northeast Ohio restaurant that defines Cleveland!

Quite happy with the team service....the food was solid but didn't rise above so many other restaurants in the usa that do similar food. The only out of the ordinary dish was a bone marrow preparation served without the bones...would have been better if the accompaniments were replaced with a classic parsley salad. The pierogi was burned on the bottom and the lobster app chewy...otherwise the food would have received 4 stars.

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic meal at Michael Symon's Lola. Our server Terri was perfect; she was knowledgeable about the menu and spot-on with wine recommendations. The food was outstanding; we thoroughly enjoyed the juicy bone marrow, the crispy pig ear salad, and the beef cheek pierogis. The main course was equally impressive starring perfectly seared scallops and an impossibly tender hanger steak. Both dishes were artfully prepared and beautifully served. We will certainly return. Much thanks to Chef Joe, the Lola culinary team, Nolan, and the front of the house staff for making our experience memorable.

Recently ate at Lola on business. Was not sure if such a well known chef's place would live up to the expectations. However my experience surpassed any notions I might have had. A delicious ginger-grapefruit drink started the night. The beef cheek periogi melted in my mouth with a soulful, comforting sauce. Followed up with the scallops which were perfection - every item served a purpose and together it was perfect harmony in my mouth. Although plenty full, I had to try the 6 am special for dessert - the best of breakfast and dessert all rolled into one. I could eat the bacon maple ice cream every day! in addition to the food being the star, I sat at the chef's table and the kitchen staff was very engaging and downright nice. GO!!!

On a recent visit to Cleveland we were very excited to be able to try out Lola. We expected a lot more. While the soup special we had was good, it was no more outstanding than we could get at most other good restaurants. My husband's bone marrow appetizer, however, was above what we could get elsewhere. Two of us had the beet salad. Again, while very good, nothing spectacular. I had the pork chops. I specifically asked that they be juicy and they came much drier than I would have liked. The sauce and polenta they were served with were both very good. My sister had the halibut which she also found dry. She didn't finish. The sturgeon my husband had was good. Don't remember the other entree. I expected better. Very disappointing

we've been here a couple of times over the last 2/3 years and every time it is consistent and delicious. the menu hasn't really changed much but it's a fantastic menu and they do it so well, so i guess why change a great thing? have tried a couple of specials of the day-very good. beef cheek pierogi's are a signature and for good reason-and they split the dish up for us so we didn't have to share off one plate. shared the rib-eye as well (did the same separate plate split) and it's divine-perfectly cooked med. rare, juicy, melt in your mouth delicious. got that with two sides-potatoes and corn/mushroom/pancetta. both very good. always too full for dessert. nice ambiance and great waitress! staff very nice and attentive

As a Michael Symon restaurant one would expect the food to be outstanding, which it certainly was. The service was spot on as well. However, Lola is one of the loudest restaurants that I have been to in recent memory. I have been in sports bars that are less cacophonous. Unfortunately, this will likely be a deal breaker when it comes to considering a return visit.

My husband and I ate at Lola during a recent trip to Cleveland and had an amazing time. The food was delicious, staff friendly and atmosphere inviting. A very pricey meal, but it was definitely worth it. As appetizers we had the beet salad and butternut squash soup (both excellent). Entrees were lamb tenderloin and scallops (the best I've ever had). For dessert we had the Lola S'more and the 6a.m. Special (maple bacon ice cream over french toast). Everything was excellent and beautifully presented. The service was very friendly and good, although a little on the slow side for what I'm used to. Overall, one of the best dining experiences we have had and certainly the best in Cleveland!

We travel to Cleveland periodically, this is my 2nd experience at Lola. Because my 1st experience was exceptional I booked reservations for myself and guests. Unfortunately the 2nd visit did not match the 1st. Although my guest's comments were polite it didn't appear to me that they were pleased. My choice was the Sturgeon, the texture was well beyond soft, the meals were room temperature. Because of my 1st experience I will treat the 2nd experience as an anomaly and give it one more try.

This restaurant exceeded my expectations. The menu was diverse, the food excellent, service was impeccable, very good wine list. Everything was perfectly seasoned and the chef accommodated my request to cook the duck breast beyond medium rare. In fact, this was the best duck breast I have ever eaten. My wife had the roasted fennel soup - to die for! She also loved the Lola Smore. The artisanal cheese plate lived up to the name - all too often retaurants advertise such a plate - only to disappount with the usual brie, camenbert, cheddar and the like. Not here - true artisanal cheeses from the neighboring states that rival some of the best from Europe; the presentation was beautiful with house made accompaniments.

I took my mom to Lola for a special girls night out and we had a fabulous time. We started with drinks and both enjoyed what we ordered. Our server was fantastic -- friendly, solicitous without hovering, and offered some wonderful suggestions. We ordered two meals & shared them, and our server brought us extra plates to make it easy for us. Our dinners were absolutely delicious. I had the hanger steak and my mom had the duck and we would both order them again. We finished the evening with a peanut butter and chocolate dessert and ate every bite. I would highly recommend Lola for a special night out. I also recommend the 4th St. valet parking. It's only $8 with a receipt from a 4th St. restaurant and well worth it on a cold night.

Everything was excellent with the exception of our server. My wife and I do not drink alcohol. After ordering our pops, they were not refilled until I was ready for the desert menus. After reviewing the desert menu I merely asked the server if a traditional piece of cheesecake was an option, knowing it was probably a reach because it was in fact not on the menu. I was given a condescending smirk with the word "no" being repeated to and at me multiple times as if I were a child and should have known better then to have ever asked such a question.

Came to Lola for our wedding anniversary. Looking for a unique food experience and we found it. Every item we ordered from the appetizers to the desserts was outstanding and full of flavor. Although some of the items looked smaller on the plate than we expected, by the end of the evening we were full. The miniture cupcake plate with Happy Anniversary spelled out was a nice added touch by Lola. For a special occasion, this is a wonderful spot.

It was the fifth anniversary for my wife and I. We do a lot of vacationing in Cleveland so we wanted to try one of the city's best. It did not disappoint. We ordered the beef cheek pierogi and jumbo shrimp for appetizers and both were outstanding. She had the lamb and I had the pork chop for our entrées. Simply put, best dinner I ever had. The Lola S'more was decadent especially with a dessert wine. Ambiance and energy in the restaurant were awesome. They surprised us at the end with a happy anniversary cupcake platter with sparkler. It made my wife's night. Food was an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. The waiter was fun and engaging. I would recommend Lola to anyone who loves good food and a good time. I can't wait to go back!

The main course was mostly good. The hanger steak had a very good quality and was large no veggies and a large fries. The fish halibut was way overdone and was more money than the hanger steak. The sturgeon wrapped in bacon ( size of a cotton ball)was good but it was not intended for someone who was hungry. Desserts were made from someone who really studied refined pastry. Delicious!!
