Nice Saturday in New HopeNothing like a matinee at the BC Playhouse and an early outdoor dinner at Nickolas.
The price fixe dinner was tasty as was the wine. Fun day.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat placeNikolas at The Logan Inn is our favorite New Hope restaurant. We live in the area, and go there often.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMIt's more than a good mealNikolas was a great surprise. The food was delicious (mussels, octopus, filet, oxtail) and the wine pairing added a special touch to the evening. The prix fixed menu is an excellent value. Plan to spend at least 2 hours to enjoy the experience. I hope to return soon.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMTriple hit!Excellent food, wonderful atmosphere, friendly servers.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe trifecta!~My husband and I had a wonderful 4 course prix fixe dinner Saturday night to celebrate 18 wonderful years together....and we hit the trifecta of dining. Wonderful service, atmosphere and food! Our server Tom was perfect. Helpful but not too intrusive. Every course was delicious. Seafood is their specialty, I believe. And the atmosphere is New Hope at its best. On the corner of Main, inside or out, it is a wonderful 18th century beaut, with great people-watching! The only, and it may be minor, drawback, is lack of available parking, but then, those who frequent New Hope know that. We are thinking of staying overnight here for our next year's anniversary.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMOur Two-Day StayVery good food, as we did the pre-fixe with wine pairing. Don't know if our room, #15, was haunted but the bedside light kept shutting itself off after a few minutes. Also, my wife was streaming music on her iPhone and it suddenly went silent, which it never did before! The room was very comfortable, and the service was helpful.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAddictive it's so goodThe fixed price menus are fabulous! The mussels in white wine app is as great as being in Paris!! Actually there is nothing that we have eaten that wasn't the most flavorful, fresh, quality food. The baked Brie and the soup de jour are perfect choices as starters if mussels aren't your thing. The crab "cakes" are in phyllo and served on a delicious red pepper sauce. The whole or deboned fish, like branzino is grilled to perfection and served with a lovely fava been purée and tasty jasmine rice. We can't say enough about how great the good is here and well worth the price.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic Outdoor diningWe had a fantastic meal at Nikolos (at the Logan Inn). The menu was all Prix Fixe, but at several different price points. The wine pairings were spectacular and an excellent value. The food was quite good. Excellent, professional, and friendly service rounded out the experience. Our only "complaint" was that the portions were, perhaps, too large, and so we left feeling a bit stuffed. Still, we really only have ourselves to blame for that part of things.....6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were a party of 8, celebratingWe were a party of 8, celebrating my Mother's Birthday, with ages ranging from 8 to 76. We all had a great time at the Logan Inn. The level of service was top-notch, and every course we had was delicious. Some of us chose the wine-pairing menu and it was a learning experience for all as our sommelier explained why they chose that particular wine for the particular dish. Just simply a great dining experience overall. Will definitely go back to Nikolas!!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThe restaurant has a fixedThe restaurant has a fixed price menu with wine pairings that work really well. The timing of each dish was just right making this a lovely evening. (And they replaced used knives and forks between each dish without me asking - one of my pet peeves and they past the test!)6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMToo Hot to enjoyWhile the food was fine, there was no indoor air conditioned room. In 90 degree plus temp. and high humidity, we ate outside!! This would have been great in normal weather, but not during a heat wave.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMSurprised by how good this wasHaven't been to the Logan Inn for many years and I don't recall it being this good. It's always been a great place to sit outside and watch the motorcycles go by in New Hope but that was not an option in the chilly temps of this past weekend. So we were seated indoors. The dining room is lovely. The service was purposefully slower paced to allow one to fully enjoy the very ample courses served . One note of warning: the menu is all price fixed. I didn't know that prior to making the reservation and was a little blown away by the surprise of finding this out, but I have to say there was excellent value for the cost. You do have the option of 4 or 7 course menus and our group went with 4. All the dishes were excellent. Loved the tiramisu!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMSaturday Night AmbienceI selected Nikolas from Trip advisor and wasn't dissapointed. The food selections were Top notch. I had th South African Lobster tails and My dinner guest had the Kobe Strip steak. Both were Cooked to perfection. We had a window table with a great view of Main street in New Hope. They have a great wine selection. They pair the wine to your food which helps when your not an expert. Enjoy Nikolas. great overall experience.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMFast and Friendly ServiceWe were attending the Opening night of MAME at the Bucks County Playhouse...they had a special menu for theatre patrons...the server was time aware and recommended we order while we were engaged in lively conversation...we made the show in plenty of time...the fodd was very good and the owner greeted us with warmth5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food and Koi Pond TooMy Mom and wife really loved the food here, they're still talking about it.
Chocolate dessert excellent.
Koi Pond ideal for keeping young children enterained.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Was pleasantly surprised by all food we ate.
Outside seating has nice view of the street with plenty of things to viddy.
There's also a bar with a seperate bar menu.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMFavorite place in New Hope!Everytime I'm in the New Hope area, I have lunch/dinner and drinks here! Has a friendly staff, food is always good and the prices are decent. Great wine list! Atmosphere is great and they have parking for customers only, they do charge for it but much better than having to drive around looking for a spot on street or dealing with pesky parking meters.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial Meal, Affordable PriceWe found Nikolas (Logan Inn's new restaurant) through TripAdvisor, and a friend told us it was the one place we had to go. Both were absolutely right: for $39, I had one of the best 4-course meals I've eaten. There are 3 prix-fixe menus: one for $39, one for $55, and one for $72, and it just so happened that everything I most wanted was on the least costly menu (all desserts are offered on all menus). You can also do a wine pairing with each for an extra cost, which adds not only quite a lot of wine, but a sommelier who comes to the table with each new course/glass to explain why that particular wine was chosen and what it smells and tastes like. We adored every course, found the staff incredibly friendly, and loved the whole experience.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for Mother's DayGreat place for Mother's Day Brunch. We are regulars and return when we are in town.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's day Wine Pairing MenuThe two negative points I have is that for Mother's day, the Login Inn was not accommodating to children, which on such a day I expect the opposite.
My mother and I were having the wine paring dinner, which was pricey, but everything was fantastic. There were only two options for the children's menu, pasta and chicken fingers. I asked for a fish option and cucumber salad for my son and the waiter would not accommodate in the least. He said that is ale carte could be ordered on the other side.
I found the waiter not friendly as well as not accommodating. He had a pretentious attitude and dampened our spirits. The staff were very pleasant, especially the sommellier.
I would come back but make sure Nikolas is a child friendly establishment.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day lunch - greatWe booked the Logan Inn for Mother's Day dinner (they also have Nikolas which is much more relaxed with a bar and is usually buzzing at night)
The dinner menu offers 3 levels of Prix fixe 4,5 or the chef's taster 7 choices; each includes desert. I can't remember if they have an a la carte menu but they don't need one anyway. The meals can be ordered with wine pairing, or not your choice. The food was excellent.
We have been there a few times and the service has been great; understandably on Mother's day it was not up to their usual. It's not inexpensive for dinner but well worth it. The lunch menu is obviously much cheaper. Bottom line is go and check it out. You won't be dissappointed AND they have parking!! A must in New Hope5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMtry it, you'll like it!We always enjoy our time here. However, they have a new chef and menu, which is Mediterranean. Unfortunately, I don't eat seafood, so my choices were few. I did enjoy what I ordered, though.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMA perfect place to catch upTwo friends and I met there for breakfast this past Saturday morning (all of us from 1+ hour away in different directions). It was the perfect place....a table with a view, a diverse menu and a waitress who knew we were there to catch up and didn't rush us a single bit. Being just a half block away from the main street made parking easier, too, with both their own lot and street parking right across. This will be our new meeting spot!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect New Hope Brunch/LunchFour of us for a weekend lunch. Food and service were quite good. Appetizers included clams and oysters on the half shell, grilled octopus and snapper turtle soup. The first three were excellent, the turtle soup was too thick and rather tasteless. Even adding sherry didn't help make it better.
Entrees included filet mignon, kobe beef, branzino and lox/smoked trout and bagel. All were excellent...fresh, and well prepared and all the beef came out as ordered. Desserts included Greek yogurt, flourless chocolate cake and a Greek polenta custard in a phyllo dough wrap. The Greek yogurt was amazing, and the two other desserts were excellent as well (I tried them all).
Food was expensive...$195 before tip which included non-alc beverages5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe fresh and delicious foodThe fresh and delicious food was served in a lovely outdoor setting by friendly and attentive staff.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMaS GOOD AS WE EXPERIENCE PREVIOUSLYaS GOOD AS WE EXPERIENCE PREVIOUSLY. THE FISH WAS SMALL AND SLIGHTLY OVERCOOK, BUT OTHERWIST ALL OTHER DISHES WWERE EXCELLENT. ATTENTIVE SERVERS,NOT OVERBEARING BUT THERE WHEN NEEDED. WATER KEPT FULL AND FOOD WAS HOT.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMShrimp bisque soup was great!!Shrimp bisque soup was great!! We had crab cakes and the snapper fillets and they both were excellent! We had a wonderful outdoor dining experience, glad they had the heaters on outside because when the sun went down it got chilly! Service was excellent as well as the food. We will definately return!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst classWent to an early dinner after great show at the playhouse(which was in walking distance).
Have been to the Logan in the past , but it was the first time we ate on the spacious patio. It was a beautiful day but they
Had their heat lamps on to make it extra nice.
Had the four course with wine tasting.
the attention, service and food was exceptional4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food at the logan innThe food at the logan inn was amazing! Every course was perfect... good cocktails too. Service was good but food outshined everything it was so good! Would definitely go back and the first thing id order is the seared octopus.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMNo doubt the best meal in New HopeWe had a spectacular meal with an unbelievable wine pairing. One of the best steaks I have ever had (kobe strip steak)and fried oysters to die for.
Highly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys fine dining.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was outstanding andThe food was outstanding and abundant. The service was excellent, friendly staff and the ambience was great for a special occasion.Would highly recommend this restaurant.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent dining experienceExcellent dining experience that could be improved if diners could order a la carte.
A member of our party just has a small appetite but still wants to savor the dishes one at a time.

AWESOME dining experience in every way possible!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMMusic and Good FoodWe sat in the bar area to have a table for the (later) musical entertainment. We were expecting a raucous atmosphere, so no surprise to us when that happened. The food was tasty. Baked brie appetizer and mixed beet salad were good starters, followed by steak entrees that were prepared perfectly. Settled in for an hour and a half of music following dinner which capped a fun night at Logan Inn.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a wonderful time!We had a wonderful time! The price fixed menu had many options to choose from and our server was very knowledgable.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMVery nice time. Went forVery nice time. Very well kept old building. Great covered patio for summer dining.
Service wonderful, food delicious.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMMy new favorite place in NewMy new favorite place in New Hope. It's a prix-fixe menu that is very reasonably priced and has lots of options. Make sure you get the wine pairings. They have done a great job selecting wines to complement each course.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMNikolas is now the name forNikolas is now the name for the restaurant that is situated in the Logan Inn. Their food quality definitely has not been sacrificed! We enjoyed the chef's tasting menu along with our before dinner cocktails. The wine that we had for dinner was very good as well. Be sure to try their version of baked brie and the greek custard dessert in filo dough. Super delish!!! Our server was very knowledgeable and made the entire experience delightful. To our surprise she was in training and we would have never known it. Should have asked to be moved.1/12/2013 12:00:00 AMLove NikolasWe sat by a beautiful, large fireplace, the service was impeccable but not pretentious at all! We did the 7-course prixe fix with wine pairing, everything was paired perfectly and we were just in heaven. No need to go into the city for 5-Star dining Nikolas was everything it should be and more.1/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
