Service was excellent. This last visit I ordered the special, which was halibut. It had such a amazing flavor with cilantro and jalapeno. The chef's at this restaurant are excellent. But also the wait staff capped the experience. They were funny and friendly. We couldn't remember if it had been lukewarm before. We have only eaten here twice before in the recent past. Our other experience is too long ago to remember when. We consider this a special occasion eating spot. Prime rib and Steak to amaze.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMNormally we LOVE LS&B, butNormally we LOVE LS&B, but one of the meals was so bad (halibut) that it had to be sent back. It was smothered in onions and it was not cooked properly - very mushy. It was exchanged for a barrel steak which wasn't up to LS&B's excellent standards. The other 2 barrel steaks we ordered that night were perfect. We were there for my son's birthday which we have celebrated here for the past 26 years. We will be back, but it was a little disappointing.

The food is a little more expensive than other places we've gone, but it is well worth it! The salad bar is fresh and the clam chowder is the best we've had in the area. We love the steaks. There is a wide variety and they are cooked to perfection. I don't order prime rib out, but my son let me taste his and it was outstanding. This week four of us were dining and each of us had something different. Embarrassing as it is to admit, there was not a scrap of food left! The service in the bar and restaurant was excellent. The steak was marinated perfectly and very tender, succulent and juicy. Waiters are very good and attentive but not so much that they bug you.
