Locanda Vini e OliiMuch more than a local gemIf you are four or more, by all means, take the tasting menu. It is very reasonable priced and you don't want to miss the variety. It is served family style so it's easy for everyone to try everything and there was nothing that was less than fabulous. Our favorites were the lamb ravioli, the chicken livers and the short ribs. The old pharmacy venue was not elegant, but uniquely charming. The younger wait staff members showed a little inexperience at times, but they were friendly and willing. Overall this restaurant is worth a special trip. We were both impressed. The wine we were offered as a pairing for our dinner was also quite spectacular. The menu hasn't changed much in the last year or so, but what is on the menu has a lot of winners, and the specials are always great. The chicken liver and risotto appetizer is superb, beef cheeks or lamb shoulder magnificent, pastas always fresh and done perfectly. One challenge is that the restaurant has become so well known that it is difficult sometimes to come home tired, not wanting to cook or order, and be able to get a table. The ambiance is very lively and happy. The wine list is well-selected and reasonably priced.
