"Avoid this place if possible. We went for a truffle dinner for two and it was awful. I don't think those were real truffles in the first two dishes and the third had no truffles. First course of carpaccio was too salty to eat. The second course of pasta had been sitting so long it developed a crust on the top and tasted like a mix from a box. When the bill came the prices charged were not those on the menu - they were higher. You would have a better meal at the Del Taco across the street."

"Fantastic, attentive and prompt service without rushing you thru each course. Very pleasant Italian staff. Very cozy place, holding about 25 or so customers and has only 2 stools at the bar. The food is very flavorful with some unique dishes on the menu like wild boar. A definite must try!"

"This was our fifth visit. We generally dine early so there was only one other group there on a Sunday night. The food was excellent. Short rib ragu was outstanding, as was the filet. The steak was better than Fleming's! I hate to give it such a high rating so I don't have to share, but Michelangelo and Paolo deserve to be successful!"

"Food was good, not great. Seating was tight. Noise level was high. Service was average to mediocre. We received our bill before anyone showed us the desert menu. It was probably just a mistake, but they were hyper-busy and needed the table. We'd probably go back to give it a second try."

"I don't often go to Italian restaurants. I come from long line of Italian food snobs, and find that most so-called Italian restaurants don't really offer authentic Italian. Most cater to Americanized notions, i.e. gooey pizza, overdone pasta with sugar in the sauce, etc.

Locanda's the real deal. Even my ultra-discerning Nonna would approve. They now serve a two-course lunch comprising a selection of the best the appetizers and main courses from the dinner menu. My hubby and I enjoyed a top-notch burrata caprese, good quality carpaccio, papardelle in a wine and wild boar sauce,and a strip steak sliced and pan-seared in luscious olive oil with a side of baby arugula topped with shavings of sharp, buttery cheese. Well worth the $20 a pers"
