LocalWe had a fantastic dinnerWe had a fantastic dinner at Local this weekend. Our waitress was very attentive, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. We went at 7:00 and it was still quiet enough that we could hear each other talking very easily. The cheese and cracker appetizer was very tasty! We've been twice in the past two weeks and love it each time for new reasons.
The restaurant is the perfect size, with lots of seating areas that are intimate, yet offer a shared experience. We had an awesome time joking with the only other couple in our area (there are only 2 tables in that room).
The staff is awesome, particularly one waiter whose name escapes me. . .tall, thin and reminds me of Phil Dunphy of "Modern Family." Makes you feel like his whole night revolves around you.
And I'm saving the best to last -- Tracy Miller's incredible food! I'm working my way through the menu and have loved absolutely everything! The food was really fantastic - we has the salmon, halibut, and sea bass and each were wonderful. I could take or leave their famous fried green beans but the sauce they came with was out of this world! Also, if the summer squash soup is on the menu when you go - order it!! By far one of the best things I've eaten in a minute. Overall, great experience EXCEPT for the fact that they do not have a liquor license and therefore do not have a full bar, which was kind of annoying. The interior of this place sold us. It reminded us of the modern day 70's and was perfect for a great meal and catching up with our friend. We all had great wine. The lobster cake as an appetizer was fabulous. We had the salmon and the steak. Both were delish. The sauce paired with both were marvelous. We will be going back soon!
