Local ThreeAlways ExcellentThis is a great spot for client meetings as well as dinner with my hubby. The food is always spectacular - I would say you can never go wrong with the trout, but one could say that about the entire menu (the trout just stands out because that's what I had yesterday). If I could describe the food in one word, it would be FRESH. My only regret is that I don't always have room for dessert.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome Anniversary! Thanks again to the team at Local Three for a wonderful anniversary dinner! We enjoyed the surprise of getting to eat at the Chef's table in the kitchen with the Big Lebowski! What a treat! Cecilia Wang was incredible as always! Local Three is "home away from home" for us. Thanks for a very special time.
Angie and John Keller5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and great vibeFor those that have not been, I highly recommend. Our server, Ken was great. Very knowledgeable about the menu. We brought our own wine. The cool thing here is they only charge a $10 corkage fee which the restaurant gives to the server. We had the cheese plate (very good). Everyone's meal was excellent. Two items that were a must, the carnitas and the s'mores dessert.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love Local Three! We visited Local Three last weekend to celebrate many May events. We had a terrific meal. Our server, Ken, was most helpful and knowledgeable. He endured our endless questions and was so nice to both my parents and my kids! Local Three never disappoints!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMLove Local 3Food is always so good there -- skillfully prepared and presented.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful PlaceLocal 3 is one of our regular stops. Normally my wife and I sit at the bar but we had visitors in from out of town and made a reservation. Reserve early as it fills up quickly. Food was fantastic and varied and they had just completely redone their menu a few weeks before so several new items to try plus a good selection of daily specials.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMawesomeLoved every second of the meal. The bar was a little busy but our waitress was fantastic and knew the menu well. The food was unique and well worth the money. I recommend the carnitas!!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat!I had the crawfish quesadilla for a starter and the pork carnitas for my entree and both were fantastic! Will recommend and will go back! I went on a Thursday - it was easy to get a reservation and it was also a great happy hour place. Weekends are hard to get in, so book in advance.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMA great local experienceLocal Three features a blend of great ingredients, great service, and great food. Our waiter was helpful and we had great options because of it. A good time!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways goodI have never had a bad experiece. I can always count on having an excellent meal and service!!!!!! KEEP IT UP.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMLove Local ThreeInteresting menu and wine list and am never disappointed! Relaxed and casual atmosphere...a neighborhood gem!!!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfectMy husband and I arrived very early for our reservation and they accommodated us, seating us early on a busy Friday night. As always, our food was delicious and the service was outstanding. They go above and beyond and we always have a wonderful experience at this laid-back restaurant with great service and food.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMHoney Mustard Ice Cream! We didn't think that there could be a better small plate/appetizer than the beef Royale (with gouda cheese, capers shallot, and egg). But the lump crab salad with honey mustard ice cream is now our favorite. The small plates/appetizers at this restaurant are so good (we also shared the beef royale, fig bruschetta, the duck fat fried lamb ribs, and the cheese tasting) that we can never get to the "Mains." The only jarring note to an otherwise perfect dining experience was that the coffee (served with an excellent pistachio cheesecake) was extremely hot.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have been here a few timesWe have been here a few times now and the restaurant is just wonderful. You won't regret a meal here.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMLocal Three worth repeatingThis is a repeat visit to Local Three. I have not been disappointed with any of my meals. The meat loaf over potatoes was so delicious. I couldn't resist trying the pimiento cheese grits and they were over the top good. I look forward to going again soon. Their menu is always so interesting. Be sure and check out all the salt and pepper shakers on the tables. Every table has a different one.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMThree of us visited for lunchThree of us visited for lunch and it was great. Each of us had a different entree and they were all three the great. We tried two differenct desserts which were wonderful. DAB4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMButtermilk chicken thighsButtermilk chicken thighs were excellent! Get the zucchini gratin!4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time at Local Three.First time at Local Three. The brunch was outstanding. We enjoyed every dish. Our favorite part was going into the kitchen to get our food. How fun for a foodie! The chefs and cooks were all so friendly and welcoming. Our waitress shared some of the innovative things that the owners are doing. We'll be back! Oh, did I mention that the brunch is $19.93 a person? A real deal!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't wait... go tonight!Brilliant experience,
Started with amazing service
Continued with wonderful bottle of wine (wow)
Continued with Lamb and Beef (Oh My GOD... what can I say)
Ended with exquisite dessert!
Actually great service throughout... if you go ask to sit in Brian's section he is amazing.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWe loved this restaurant andWe loved this restaurant and will certainly return. Everything from the drinks, appetizers, main course and dessert were perfect. The only thing I will note is that the food was a little on the salty side but not anything unbearable. The charcuterie made in house was delicious, I definitely recommend that for my fellow piggy lovers! I ordered the soft shell crab and squid ink risotto...to die for! Then the dessert was just the best...cayenne pepper in a s'more chocolate mousse! Simply amazing. Great for our anniversary dinner and the service was great. It's rare you find a server as knowledgeable and personable as the one we had. All in all it was great and can't wait to go back!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMVery consistent and very enjoyable.Very consistent and very enjoyable. We had a wonderful time and would return!4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThis place was packed on a ThursdayWe were seated at 8:45pm and were out of two favorite entrees. But third choice was awesome !!! Halibut and chicken thighs.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAlmost perfectNight started out rough. Reservations seemed nothing more than a suggestion to the rather indifferent hostess. Forty minute wait for two and the hostess seemed to care less about checking back with us. Pushed over to a small, narrow, crowded and loud bar and got to enjoy the pretentious attitude of a bartender who obviously either hated his job or truly hated being in the business.
Night was saved by a terrific wait staff and terrific food. We sat back and allowed the knowledgable staff make one terrific recommendation after another for us! Truly, I almost left based on hostess and bartender and now I am glad I stayed (I had been here once before). Assuming you make it to your table, you will enjoy a great meal!4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is my new "go to" restaurant. This is my new "go to" restaurant. I've been telling all my friends and complete strangers about Local Three. The food and the service are both EXCELLENT!!!! The menu changes seasonally, but right now (dinner menu) you must try the PB&J Hummus and the Roasted oyster mushroom salad...but you will not go wrong with anything you order. I really like how creative the chefs are with the menu offerings. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfectionBest Food in Atlanta. Local Three totally pulls off the "Out of the Box thinking" menu.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMVery flavorful and nicelyVery flavorful and nicely presented dishes. Wine recommendation was spot on. Definitely will continue to patronize4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had never heard of LocalWe had never heard of Local Three until reading about its brunch in Atlanta Magazine. So for Easter, we decided to try it. Our group of five ranged in age from 9 to 70 and all ranked the food and experience very highly. We, who were on the older side, decided that we would return soon for an evening meal, it was that good.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMEclectic menu with interestingEclectic menu with interesting choices. We tried several appetizers and dinner choices and all were very good!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently 5-Star OutstandingOne of the best restaurant experiences in Atlanta. Food is always a home run - creative, seasonal, interesting, and slap-yo-mama delicious. Cocktails and wine list are terrific, too.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, great service,Great food, great service, no complaints! Little noisy-- would be fun as a group but a little less so as a couple, though there were still a few there enjoying themselves.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMTry the Peanut Butter Hummus!Local Three lived up to all the hype! The Peanut Butter Hummus is one of my new favorite things; I'll have to try to mimic the recipe. My only complaint would be the timing between our salad and entree, however, it certainly wouldn't deter me from returning. Delicious!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWhere do I begin? PerhapsWhere do I begin? Perhaps at the ending. The pistachio cheesecake may have been the best dessert I've ever had. My husband and I love small plates (and wine). And the progression began with the Royale with Cheese--loved breaking the egg yolk and seeing it ooze down into the beef tartare. Next, some excellent cheeses with Emily G's jam and Skip & Cookie's honey and diver scallop coins served cold with a pea puree (hello, Spring). Then came the Notorious P.I.G. (did someone drop a wagyu beef jerky in there as a surprise?); yummy violet mustard. And, the goat cheese gnudi with peas and prosciutto; so delicate and clean. And, back to the ending. Thanks Ken; kudos to Chef Chris; and best wishes to Chef Ryan.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and drinks are deliciousThe food and drinks are delicious and so many great things to choose from. I have been there twice in the last 2 months and am already trying to figure out when I can get back. I miss the truffle popcorn on the new spring menu, but loved the white gazpacho with bay scallops.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMToo many positive things to sayAs always, thanks to the Chris Hall and all of his team members at Local 3. We have taken friends twice in the past week and several items were changed on the menu in just five days! I love that, because I love Local 3, but the menu never gets boring at all!
Highlights presently
Local 3 is friendly to bringing bottles but also has a great wine list. We usually do both, bringing a bottle from the cellar and then ordering a bottle -- or having a pre dinner drink. In this case, we did the proseco rose, which is a fantastic selection. As an after dinner drink my business associate and I each had a banyuls (sp?) which was like a port but without the richness. I don't think I'd do that again. Kudos for Local 3 for pushing the norm.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMSam R SellsAnother great brunch at Local Three! Great service!3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMDifferent but GoodIts not for everyone. Food is a little different from your average brunch menu. Nice atmosphere. No alot of room for moving around to get the food, more like cafeteria style. Some people, especially those with children had a bit of a difficulty3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMI have been hearing aboutI have been hearing about Local Three a lot lately in all the Atlanta good news and talk. I have to say all te hype is deserved. This place was fantastic. I ordered a pork stuffed ravioli appetizer and then artic char at the recommendation of my server. Both were full of flavor and the freshness of each dish, the presentation, and the combination of the flavors were all on point. I would recomend that anyone who like to try something new, something a little edgy in the Atlanta food scene check it out.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMReturned to Local Three withReturned to Local Three with Foodie Friends from Bermuda and everyone enjoyed everything they tasted. Service was above average and many new menu items were different from my last visit making the food experience fun and exciting all over again. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves food. Food temperatures and portions were all perfect.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my third time diningThis was my third time dining at Local Three and it was the best yet! Everything was wonderful from the service to our outstanding meal and dessert!3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWOW!One of the best meals EVER! Service was excellent - attentive, but not intrusive. This, combined with menu that changes on a daily basis, makes Local 3 one of my "go to" places.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was great! I willEverything was great! I will put this on my list as a regular stop. Menu changes regularly. Quiet when we arrived for a 6pm reservation. By 7pm the place was packed with all ages. Free parking available. Very convenient location3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMI am not really a bourbonI am not really a bourbon person, but if you are you will love this place. It's definitely worth the visit.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMMy new favorite place in AtlantaThis might be my new favorite place in Atlanta. My friend and I skipped entrees to sample the half dozen snacks and appetizers that caught our eye and we were not disappointed. Every dish was amazing and interesting. The duck fat Brussels sprouts were beyond delicious and the redneck meze was a fun app for someone who has moved and misses the South. My server, the wonderful Mike, kindly boxed up my Parmesan truffle popcorn before I ruined my dinner, because I would have eaten the whole bowl. We shared two desserts both of which were scrumptious. I don't have a single complaint and will definitely be back next time I'm in town!3/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
