We love Local Three. The menuWe love Local Three. The menu is great and imaginative. Always lots of things I want to order. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMLocal Three still solidFood creative and tasty. Best tartare I have eaten. Good wine menu, but not great. Waiter talked a bit too much about himself, but that is my personal like/dislike (I did not go out with friends to learn about the waiter's life). Overall, despite a PIA location coming from John's Creek, I really like Local Three and it is worth the trip.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMLoving Local 3We took my fiance's parents here, who are not adventurous eaters (to put it nicely), and they both cleaned their plates. He had the flatiron steak, and my FMIL had the shrimp risotto--they both raved! We also had a cheese plate and the strawberry salad to share as a table and both were divine. I ordered the special chicken dish of the day--mostly because it was served with pimiento cheese grits--and it was incredible. Not boring chicken AT ALL. My fiance had the pork carnitas and he said he had never had a dish like it in his life. We also took full advantage of the extensive bourbon and whiskey selection and enjoyed some amazing cocktails. The decor is just beautiful in this place--I love it and will definitely go back!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of My 3 Local Favorites!Local 3 has continued to excel ever since it took over Joel's superlative, expansive French kitchen. The menu, the quality of the unique food, and the low-key but fine staff and atmosphere all work together to ensure that every experience is more than worthwhile. When the sole complaint is "I'd rather have a 'real menu' than those paper place-mats," then you know you are in great shape.
The offerings change significantly every several months. Lately, something as simple as a meatloaf offering is unbelievably high quality. Served over potatoes, potatoes, carrots, and asparagus - well, it is rich, filling, fulfilling, and just right. The fish is flawless. But overall, the unusual combinations of ingredients make it all work. Just go!6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious, Fresh & EnergeticThe menu is fresh, exciting, local, and eclectic. The waitstaff is extraordinarily knowledgable about the menu, food and wine. The atmosphere is modern yet rustic. The food is fantastic. It is a friendly and versatile spot to suit any need! A favorite!!6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMThis place is amazing!!! TheThis place is amazing!!! The food was creative and delicious. My only negative comment was we mentioned to our waiter we were trying to get to a show by 8:00 and getting our bill took longer than necessary.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMComprehensive list of AmericanComprehensive list of American whisky, perhaps the most comprehensive in the United States. Wine list is very good. Food is five stars. But, the whiskey menu is six stars.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMStill one of our favoriteStill one of our favorite places. Food and service are always exceptional. If you are looking for a casual and comfortable atmosphere with 5 star food, this is the place! I only wish we lived closer - we drive over an hour each way, and it is worth it.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat birthday lunch wine roomWe went to lunch at Local 3 last Monday and had a fabulous experience. Our waited was pleasant and did not rush us. He was helpful with the menu and recommend the Almond Joy for a desert option that was amazing! We will definatly return!6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic BrunchSaw Local 3 on the Food Network and while on vacation decided to give it a try. It was well worth it. Sunday Brunch was full of fantastic flavors. They also had bacon and biscuits to satisfy my picky 11 year old son. The fact brunch was server buffet style in the kitchen made me love it even more. The chefs used small dishes and there was always more on the fire about to be served. A reservation is highly recommended, I had one and a party of two came in the same time as me and were advised they were lucky it was only the two of them, that they would be able to fit them in.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMSimply the bestAn outstanding restaurant experience all-around! We eat here at least once a month and are always impressed by the innovative & delicious cocktails/wine list and the seasonal, creative, & flat-out delicious menu. The service is friendly, relaxed and appropriately attentive. The new guy who served us, Matt, is a pro. If you like your four-star meals served without pretense or attitude, you will LOVE Local Three. If I could only eat dinner at one restaurant in Atlanta, it would be this one.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGluten free friendlyGluten free friendly and great food for gluten eaters too!5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome brunch!Sunday brunch is one of the best deals in the city. Amazingly delicious and AYCE for $20.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentEverything was excellent! Our server was great explaining from the top menu picks to what meats and veggies were in season. This help us in our decision making process. Great Food!!!! Atmosphere we very nice. I like5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat night out with friendsWe had a blast, three couples who've been good friends for years and now all in ATL. I had gone to Local 3 for a business dinner and thought food was great, so brought the wife and friends. Waiter took our drink order outside since weather was great, the cocktail list is very good and eclectic. Anything with Golden Monkey in the recipe has to be worth trying, and was delicious. White salmon for dinner was exceptional, as was Wagyu strip steak ( so tender!) and boneless pork chop. Gt the strawberry salad while available, so fresh and light, was a great palate cleanser after appetizers. Great wine list, the Ferrer Malbec was a great find. Will definitely come back!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat business lunchtable by the patio, unobtrusive service, great food, perfect to discuss business and enjoy the food.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMimpromptu outingI was visiting friends nearby and they recommended this restaurant to me. So glad they did! The steelhead trout with smoked beets was wonderful. Mark was a knowledgeable and attentive server.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMBusiness lunch, quiet and casualChoose restaurant because convenient location for people coming from Midtown, Buckhead and Vinings. Menu has both healthy and decadent choices. Casual setting, but fairly quiet and easy for conversation. Everybody tried something different and enjoyed it. Vegetables are particularly good.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing Food & ServiceI love this place! There is nothing on the menu that I wouldn't eat.
We've hosted a corporate dinner, we've brought our out of town guest here and there is truly something for everyone on their menu. Don't hesitate to ask the server if you see something you've never seen of can't pronounce - they're awesome. They'll take the time to explain.
Great date night venue!5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMLocal 3 is a great all aroundLocal 3 is a great all around mid level choice. Perfect for any night out requiring a moderate price and noise level, but great food and service.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat characterWe had a group of 6 and only 2 of us had been to Local Three before. Our server CC took very good care of us explaining the menu and handling our wine. The menu is really unique and thought out. Some of the standouts we ordered were the beef tartar and pork carnitas. Overall the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very comfortable and casual. We all had a great time and walked away happy!5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was my second time diningIt was my second time dining here and once again completely satisfied. We took the waiter's recommendation and ordered small plates to share as well as the charcuterie sampler. This way we got to sample a little bit of everything. You would have thought we licked the plates clean. The food is fantastic!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved itWe ate here for a friends bachelorette party. It was excellent. I highly recommend it.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways ExcellentThis is a great spot for client meetings as well as dinner with my hubby. The food is always spectacular - I would say you can never go wrong with the trout, but one could say that about the entire menu (the trout just stands out because that's what I had yesterday). If I could describe the food in one word, it would be FRESH. My only regret is that I don't always have room for dessert.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome Anniversary! Thanks again to the team at Local Three for a wonderful anniversary dinner! We enjoyed the surprise of getting to eat at the Chef's table in the kitchen with the Big Lebowski! What a treat! Cecilia Wang was incredible as always! Local Three is "home away from home" for us. Thanks for a very special time.
Angie and John Keller5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and great vibeFor those that have not been, I highly recommend. Our server, Ken was great. Very knowledgeable about the menu. We brought our own wine. The cool thing here is they only charge a $10 corkage fee which the restaurant gives to the server. We had the cheese plate (very good). Everyone's meal was excellent. Two items that were a must, the carnitas and the s'mores dessert.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love Local Three! We visited Local Three last weekend to celebrate many May events. We had a terrific meal. Our server, Ken, was most helpful and knowledgeable. He endured our endless questions and was so nice to both my parents and my kids! Local Three never disappoints!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMLove Local 3Food is always so good there -- skillfully prepared and presented.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful PlaceLocal 3 is one of our regular stops. Normally my wife and I sit at the bar but we had visitors in from out of town and made a reservation. Reserve early as it fills up quickly. Food was fantastic and varied and they had just completely redone their menu a few weeks before so several new items to try plus a good selection of daily specials.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMawesomeLoved every second of the meal. The bar was a little busy but our waitress was fantastic and knew the menu well. The food was unique and well worth the money. I recommend the carnitas!!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat!I had the crawfish quesadilla for a starter and the pork carnitas for my entree and both were fantastic! Will recommend and will go back! I went on a Thursday - it was easy to get a reservation and it was also a great happy hour place. Weekends are hard to get in, so book in advance.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMOutdoor dining is the only wayWe ate outside and it was wonderful. Weather was perfect. When we walked back through the restaurant to leave, it was so noisy and dark, I would not have been happy I side. But it was perfect outside.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMA great local experienceLocal Three features a blend of great ingredients, great service, and great food. Our waiter was helpful and we had great options because of it. A good time!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways goodI have never had a bad experiece. I can always count on having an excellent meal and service!!!!!! KEEP IT UP.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMLove Local ThreeInteresting menu and wine list and am never disappointed! Relaxed and casual atmosphere...a neighborhood gem!!!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfectMy husband and I arrived very early for our reservation and they accommodated us, seating us early on a busy Friday night. As always, our food was delicious and the service was outstanding. They go above and beyond and we always have a wonderful experience at this laid-back restaurant with great service and food.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMHoney Mustard Ice Cream! We didn't think that there could be a better small plate/appetizer than the beef Royale (with gouda cheese, capers shallot, and egg). But the lump crab salad with honey mustard ice cream is now our favorite. The small plates/appetizers at this restaurant are so good (we also shared the beef royale, fig bruschetta, the duck fat fried lamb ribs, and the cheese tasting) that we can never get to the "Mains." The only jarring note to an otherwise perfect dining experience was that the coffee (served with an excellent pistachio cheesecake) was extremely hot.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have been here a few timesWe have been here a few times now and the restaurant is just wonderful. You won't regret a meal here.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMLocal Three worth repeatingThis is a repeat visit to Local Three. I have not been disappointed with any of my meals. The meat loaf over potatoes was so delicious. I couldn't resist trying the pimiento cheese grits and they were over the top good. I look forward to going again soon. Their menu is always so interesting. Be sure and check out all the salt and pepper shakers on the tables. Every table has a different one.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMThree of us visited for lunchThree of us visited for lunch and it was great. Each of us had a different entree and they were all three the great. We tried two differenct desserts which were wonderful. The brunch was outstanding. We enjoyed every dish. Our favorite part was going into the kitchen to get our food. How fun for a foodie! The chefs and cooks were all so friendly and welcoming. Our waitress shared some of the innovative things that the owners are doing. We'll be back! Oh, did I mention that the brunch is $19.93 a person? A real deal!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't wait... go tonight!Brilliant experience,
Started with amazing service
Continued with wonderful bottle of wine (wow)
Continued with Lamb and Beef (Oh My GOD... what can I say)
Ended with exquisite dessert!
Actually great service throughout... if you go ask to sit in Brian's section he is amazing.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMLocal ThreeWe went for the buffet Brunch. Cute setup, pick up food in the kitchen, relaxed atmosphere. There were many food choices. Couldn't taste everything, (too full), but we all agreed that what we had was quite good. Service was nice as well.
Our only complaint: finding the place. Perhaps more signage might be helpful. Will definitely return to try dinner.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWe loved this restaurant andWe loved this restaurant and will certainly return. Everything from the drinks, appetizers, main course and dessert were perfect. The only thing I will note is that the food was a little on the salty side but not anything unbearable. The charcuterie made in house was delicious, I definitely recommend that for my fellow piggy lovers! I ordered the soft shell crab and squid ink risotto...to die for! Then the dessert was just the best...cayenne pepper in a s'more chocolate mousse! Simply amazing. Great for our anniversary dinner and the service was great. It's rare you find a server as knowledgeable and personable as the one we had. All in all it was great and can't wait to go back!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMVery consistent and very enjoyable.Very consistent and very enjoyable. Good for children if you dine early4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMJust as fabulous as our firstJust as fabulous as our first visit! Love the food and the service is impeccable!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was very good, but theFood was very good, but the waiter was abrupt and brusque. Atmosphere was much better than last visit: fewer diners therefore noise was at a much lower level.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMwent for brunch, there iswent for brunch, there is a lot going on due to the buffet. you get to walk through the kitchen to pick up the food. which was really fun to see.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
