Diner Reviews
  • "OMG.. the new menu is OUSTANDING. The ceviche was TERRIFIC. The brevette was AMAZING. This is arguably the best restaurant in town."

  • "This was our first trip to Local Three, and we chose it based off of good reviews and the fact that they have self-parking (a rarity for nice restaurants in this part of town). We were very impressed with the food and the service, both of which were on par with what you would expect in a fancy/formal restaurant, yet this place has a fun and casual atmosphere! One item on the menu I can not recommend enough, if it happens to be available when you go, is the "McQuackers" (basically breaded duck nuggets). Sooooo delicious. Even if you have never had duck and are nervous to try it, this is your big chance - you won't regret it! The pumpkin pie dessert was also divine. "

  • "I love Local Three and it never disappoints with the changing menu. It's a foodie place, with great combinations and new ways of looking at food, but not too fussy. The service is always friendly and helpful, but never overbearing."
    Dined on 4/15/2014
  • "The menu included some really interesting choices such as peanut butter, cheddar and pickled okra bruschetta and sour cream and onion popcorn. The food was surprisingly tasty! The cocktails were very good as well (although my selections were a tad too sweet). All in all, a fun and different dining experience."

  • "food was very good - red fish got raves, rabbit was very good, short ribs just solid not exceptional, lamb also solid but not exceptional. Server was good. all in all we were satisfied and happy (bourbon probably contributed to that!) but not blown away. solid well done - not exceptional"

  • "Was so happy to be able to share the Local Three experience with two of my sisters. They have already requested a repeat visit next time they are in GA! Everyone is not only friendly and overflowing with positive energy but they are so patient and focused on their customers having the best dining experience possible. AND, they always deliver! FANTASTIC!!"

  • "I loved everything about this restaurant. Fabulous bourbon selection and the server was incredibly knowledgable and created a personalized flight for me. Food was exceptional. Can't wait to go back."

  • "I've been to Local Three two times in the past six weeks. The price fixe menu for Valentine's weekend was spectacular and the service was top notch. The last visit, I ordered of the regular menu and the daily specials. Fabulous. If I had any recommendations at all, it would be that they expand their specialty cocktail menu to include a little more vodka or gin. Overall, I can see this being a place where I would take my friends repeatedly."

  • "Food was good but not worth the price, especially considering the portion sizes. They have some fantastic burgers but the appetizers and salads are not worth it. Not different enough to warrant such prices. I have no problem spending money, but it should be earned. If you don't mind a bit of over-paying this is a fun spot with great ambiance. Very hipster."

  • "Fantastic venue with a great staff and an incredible innovative menu. You can't go wrong picking this place for you next meal."

  • "A great spot on the Northwest side of town to grab an amazing meal & good drinks. I usually get an entrée, but this time a friend & I shared about 4 small plates. It was fabulous...pimento cheese tasting, edamame humus, tuna tartar, & warmed Mediterranean olives. If you haven't made it out to Local Three, you should definitely make a visit."

  • "It was my wifes 50th birthday. Very enjoyable evening with friends and family. The wait staff was excellent! The food skillfully prepared!"

  • "From beginning to end....flawless. Consistently. Favorite place in Atlanta."

  • "I took my friend here as a way to celebrate her visit to my new city. We enjoyed the offering a so much! They really emphasize quality ingredients. They were able to accommodate my gluten allergy and my friend's lactose allergy. And we didn't feel limited by the choices."

  • "My experience with Local Three was just ok. Maybe I had such high expectations after all of the reviews. I went with a group of 6. I think we all enjoyed the experience but it was nothing to rave about. The edamame hummus was excellent and the McQuackers were pretty good to start. I had the redfish and it just missed the mark. It lacked flavor for the most part. The Hungry Man special seemed to be a favorite of the table and most people cleaned their plate. Chocolate French Toast was really good but again, just didn't quite live up to the rave reviews. The pear sorbet and the candied bacon was the best part about it. With that being said, it was good enough that I would go back and try something different (really want to try the McDowell)."

  • "The food was nice but the service was awful. We sat for 15 minutes before Kenneth took our drink order. He brought our main course and appetizer at the same time. Who wants a burger with tuna tartar on the side?? He was very rude and had a nasty attitude. Second he's waited on us and second time we had lousy service!! We'll definitely take a break from local 3."

  • "This is the best restaurant in Buckhead! Everything from the food to the service was excellent! The menu changes periodically and it reflects the freshest, most unique dishes. Everything my mother and I ordered we loved! The brussell sprouts are an absolute must for a starter! Being from Kentucky, the Bourbon list was rather impressive. I particularly enjoyed the fact that we didn't have to dress up in order to eat outstanding food. We had just landed at the airport and wanted a place for dinner, but would allow us to wear our travel attire (i.e., jeans and a sweatshirt). Our waiter was exceptional! He knew the menu backwards and forwards. He made excellent recommendations and did not make us feel rushed at all!"

  • "The brunch at Local 3 is the best in Atlanta, and at a price just under $20 for an all-you-can eat feast, there is no better deal. This is a really cool place tucked away and tough to find with great staff and even better food."

  • "Love y'all, Local Three. Food is inventive without being too full of itself. Love the McQuackers, so fun. L3 is a favorite for a reason."

  • "Really great dinner at Local 3- already wanting to go back and try more things. Service and food were excellent- the brussell sprouts are a MUST- ridiculously good!"

  • "We went to this restaurant for a birthday celebration. Everything we had was unreal and delicious!! Looking forward to trying other dishes on the menu!! NOTE: the cocktail list is amazing!!!"

  • "Even though it is hidden in an office complex off Northside Parkway, Local Three packs them in with its delightful take on southern local. There wasn't an empty seat on a Tuesday night. Even so, the service was great. The person that seated us made sure we had a drink before she left us, and what a selection of drinks! We enjoyed the lamb loin and short rib entrees."
    Dined on 3/25/2014
  • "Our waitress, Kristy, was amazing. She took the time to walk us through EVERY item on the menu. Everything was an interesting and creative take on some original recipes. The food was really good and the service was awesome. We'll definitely go back!"

  • "Food, atmosphere and service all good. Food was good had good flavor but was a little bland. Dessert (banana creme cake) was tasteless, no flavor whatsoever left me flat on whole experience."
    Dined on 3/19/2014
  • "The food is wonderful, a bit pricey, but really good. The charcuterie plate was expensive for the portion size, but still good stuff. The cocktails were delish, apps and main, wonderful. Desserts were okay... Will be keeping this place in the rotation."

  • "I've been going to Local Three since it's open. Well I love to continue to really enjoy the atmosphere and the convenience, the menu keeps getting stranger and stranger. The standbys that I like keep changing or being removed. That being said, the food is really good. It is a great place for interesting, healthy, seasonal meals. It is not a good place for picky eaters."

  • "This was my second time visiting Local Three, so when deciding on a restaurant for a girls night out it was a no brainer! Service was great, drinks were poured well and our dinner was pretty amazing. The turn came when we finished our dinner and asked if we wanted a kitchen tour. Tour was informative and cool but then we were shown the exit into the lobby. Essentially we were kicked out, our tour guide thanked us and said good bye, no offer to return to the bar nothing just good bye. We stood there for a moment and realized we had been "nicely" kicked out. Never have I been kicked out of a restaurant, Needless to say that I have no desire to return to a restaurant that kicks me out, thanks Local Three but I will not be back."

  • "This wasn't my first visit to Local Three, but it was my first time there for lunch. Very expensive for a lunch menu. They need to cater more towards the lunch crowd. I often go to Canoe, which has salads on the menu ranging from $13-16. They are very filling and wonderful. Local Three didn't have enough options and was overpriced. Recommend for dinner and bar scene, but there is a reason they are empty during the lunch hour!"

  • "Engage the bartender in "bourbon chat" - you're sure to learn something! With 160+ types of bourbon, these guys are experts. Great service, great vibe, great food. Sat at the outside tables for a drink before dinner, ended up staying out there all evening. Interesting location, but worth the hunt. Rabbit entree was fantastic!"

  • "We have been to Local Three for lunch several times; however, this was our first time for dinner. We will definitely be back. We did all small plates to give us a bigger variety and one was better than the next. It helped that Ken, who served us, gave us excellent direction on the food and wine. Well done!"

  • "After finding Local 3 on Yelp, I decided to check out the website. The menu looked so original I just had to give them a try. My friend and I were greeted immediately by a friendly host and hostess. We were seated after a 5 minute wait. The warm walls with sound barriers invited us in. My friend had the apple soup, yes, I said apple, and it was so savory. I had the bbq octopus over "baked beans." Why the quotes? Ask your server! There's a cool backstory. It was delicious, and tender, I highly recommend it. For our entrees we had the braised rabbit-just melted in your mouth, and diver scallops with quinoa. All I can say is perfection. Of course we had dessert! Apple butter ice cream, and banana cream cake . . . mmmmm. Go, already!"
