I was there with 5 coworkers who had never been there [3 out of state] They were very impressed with the restuarant. When they come can to Chicago yours will be the only restuarant that we will revisit.

We chose Lloyd's for dinner primarily because of its proximity to the train station but as it turned out, the food was delicious and the service was pleasant and professional. In additon, the maitre d' found us a table far from the din of the cocktail group to the right of the front door.

Lloyd's is right across the street from the Lyric Opera, very convenient for us. The food is nicely prepared, generously portioned, attentively served, moderately priced. A terrific value.

Lloyd's is incredibly convenient for the Opera as you can park in their garage for $7.50 with two entrees. Our waiter was very friendly and most efficient. But the food was just "ok" nothing spectacular. I will say though for a smack downtown restaurant is is most affordable.
