My table mates chose the Pre-Show menu but I chose the Louisiana rabbit. The presentation was very nice with spears of meat standing, tapered to depict rabbit ears in a delightful gravy. The meat was very tasty and tender. The speck ham and garlic chips were a delightful addition. The potato puree was perfect.

Our experience was great... directly across from the theatre and a terrific pre-theatre experience. Our service was spectacular. The food was spectacular. I went for my girlfriend's birthday and spoke to the waiter and he worked up a nice dessert item with a birthday message across the plate. We were able to order off either the regular menu or the theatre menu. Just a really great experience overall.

My wife and I had never been to the Georgian Terrace even though we have lived in Atlanta since the 60's. So, we were quite pleased to have the opportunity to stay there and attend the Jersey Boys production. We booked our reservations for the Livingston Restaurant online and this gave us two options for time - 5pm or 7:45. Since we were going to the Jersay Boys, we picked the 5pm time. However, after getting our confirmation for 5pm, when we arrived for the appointed time they were still having a staff meeting. Twenty minutes or so later the restaurant opened. In the meantime we went to the bar, which was packed, but a good experience nevertheless. Our waiter (George??) was very attentive and helpful.

Arriving an hour and fifteen minutes before a Fox perfomrance, I was told the only option I had if I wanted to get to my show on time was the buffet. The selection was poor and the price was high (19.95). I'll give it one more try.

Because of its proximity to the Fox Theater, we thought it would be the perfect place to eat before a show. However, I wouldn't do that again. There are so many really good restaurants in the are that have better menus. The seasonings were really bland and my entree came out barely warm. I had to ask for a regular menu since they assumed we wanted the pre-theater one. We had 2 hours which was plenty of time to eat from the regular menu. The only thing I can commend is the service. Each person who came to our table was cordial and quick to respond. Now...if you could replace the chef.....

Our two entrees was very nicely prepared, although a bit salty, even for a salt-lover like me. The preparations in general seemed a bit unexciting. Salad choices were somewhat predictable. Valet parking at the Georgian Terrace is complimentary, but "parkers" need etiquette basics. We sat outdoors, which on a summer night with light traffic and nothing on at the Fox was pleasant. The interior space is lovely. The food needs something more special; not up to Gary Minnie's best, but I don't know exactly what's missing. It was a bit expensive, though that may reflect the high quality of the ingredients. We'll try again, though perhaps from the bar menu in that sophisticated, elegant space. Definitely has potential, but lacks a "spark".

Wine list was just OK. Could be more adventuresome. Overall..... we'll return and hope that "good to very good" becomes "excellent". The audience is there, the location couldn't be better!

My overall rating is poor. We were offered a limited menu they said was for people going to the Fox. At the time I made the on line reservations this was not the case. The limited menu offered a choice of 3 salads, 3 entrees and 3 desserts for $32. We had to wait quite a while before a server came to our table. Then the waiter got the order wrong. My date ordered the trout and I ordered the chicken. We were brought two trout dinners. The service was so slow we never did get dessert. The total bill came to $83.68 with tax. Seems a bit high for two drinks, two salads and two small pieces of trout served on top of some pasty thing which tasted awful.

I had heard Livingston's had great appetizers but was disappointed to find the list short and very pricey. We had oysters (good), shrimp (very good) and softshell crab (good), but they should have been awesome for the price. The wait staff was very friendly and we sat outside on the terrace which overlooks Peachtree and the Fox and that was cool. The resturant and hotel are beautiful, parking is a breeze (complimentary valet or self park in the hotel garage) and worth the visit.

We had a reservation for 6:45 pm on Saturday and noted when making the reservation that we would be attending the 8:00 pm show at the Fox Theatre (across the street). We arrived on time, and ordered quickly from the "pre-theatre menu". Their kitchen could not handle the crowds. We left at 7:45 pm after having been served only drinks and appetizers. Even with the involvment of a manager, they could not get our entrees served, much less our dessert, both of which were part of the three-course meal. If they knew that a 6:45 pm reservation would not allow enough time to be served before the theatre, they should have called so we could book an earlier time.

we chose teh restaurant based on reviews and proximity to the Fox Theatre. Food is excellent. but its not a great value. i commented to the waitress that the beet salad seemed small (essentially six paperthin discs of beet, three small cheese fritters, a sprinkling of baby greens) and she said everyone complained about that. the side dish of vegetable hash was also quite small. we'd certainly go back anytime we go to the fox. getting free valet parking is a great amenity. but there are plenty of better values out there so i don't know that i'd rush back for dinner absent theatre plans.

The decor was very nice and the food was good. I especially liked that they had a special Theater Menu, for people wanting to go to the Fox right across the street. I only have one complaint; we sat in one of the banquettes near the Kitchen. The banquette is TOO LOW for the tables! I felt very uncomfortable trying to eat my food - I felt like a little kid who needs a booster seat! Either make the cushion more firm or get another banquette. That one just doesn't work. After we had ordered, I noticed the hostess tried to seat a couple at the banquette beside us and they ended up asking to be moved. I guess she wasn't comfortable either.

The food was outstanding -- every dish was beyond expectations with exciting presentation and taste of the highest caliber. The four of us had rabbit(2), veal porterhouse, and halibut. The wine we had ordered was unavailable, but the suggestion by the wine steward was a first rate choice. The chef dropped by the table on two occasions and we had a nice visit with him. All in all, a perfect night. We will make Livingston a regular stop. The only weak point was our waiter, who needed some schooling. But the rest of the staff more than made up for his shortcomings and he will learn. The location across from the Fox Theater is a really good one, and there is no better food available in Atlanta.

Excellent menu choices and food preparation. We also had a table on the balcony directly across from the Fox - great view! The ambiance was too noisy (we could barely hear aourselves above the throbbing music, which was appropriate for the bar but not for dining - it was the very first thing we noticed). The service, however, was awful, starting with our request for black napkins (which they had, but which our waiter refused to get for us and then lied to us about not having any). Food delivery was slow, and plates given to the wrong people. We arrived two hours before having to leave for the theater, and still did not have time for dessert. We will try one more time, but if the service is not greatly improved, forget it.
