  • "We arrived early (5:30 PM) for a 7:00 PM reservation. We were seated right away but waiter said he wanted to wait a bit before taking our order because chef gets upset if he places orders before he's ready for them. Kind of odd but really didn't matter to us. We had the porky belly and stuffies for starters. They were outstanding. For main meals we had, burger, Amish Chicken and Shrimp Pasta. They were all excellent! We were visiting from out of town. There's no parking so we parked a few blocks away. They did start valet parking after arrived. Only Beer & Wine bar. Great restaurant overall!"

  • "The setting on the patio makes you feel like you are not in Baltimore. This coupled with the great food and drink list make for a wonderful evening. We brought our dog as well. The staff was very attentive to seating us with room for our dog to lay down and relax. We will be back - perfect evening!"

As we walked in, we saw him stretching and rolling the house-made mozzarella balls, which we, of course, had to have. Delicious! I had an outstanding and well-presented duck leg confit. The happy hour burgers were flying out of the kitchen and do not disappoint. I'm a big fan of Liv2Eat and expect to see its continual appreciation as a South Baltimore destination restaurant (The outside dining area is great). Highly recommended. "

  • "We were greeted at the door by a delightful young woman who promptly showed us to our table, which was outside in the rear of the venue. We took one of friends here for her 80th birthday. I choose "liv2eat" because I had dined there a couple of times and loved the food. They loved it! The grapefruit Mimosas were so refreshing and each of our entrees were prepared to perfection. Definitely will be my "go to" spot since I now live in the area. "

  • "We've been here a few times. The food never disappoints. Great care is taken with each component of every dish. The chef is quite talented. Outdoor dining area is not very large. The tables are nicely spaced and it's very pleasant with the flowers and garden. Servers are quite personable and attentive. We made it for happy hour this time and enjoyed half priced mussels and risotto fritters. My husband took advantage of the burger special. We were told the beef is locally raised and naturally fed. It was delicious! We look forward to going back."

  • "Went there for the Mother's Day Brunch Buffet. Everything was spot-on, the buffet food was made in small batches so it was always fresh, freshly squeezed orange juice, excellent eggs benedict. 5 out of 5. Staff was friendly, set-up is very unique (converted row home), the owner was helping her staff, and everyone was very gracious and welcoming. Probably the best brunch I've ever had. They did not have a huge variety of food, but quality way more than made up for it. They had everything to make it a very well-rounded menu."

  • "I was bad; I waited till the Monday before Mother's Day to make reservations for brunch and nothing was available except Liv2Eat which made me a bit wary but there was no need. I looked at reviews and they had great ratings, so I set the reservation. We were greeted warmly, the facilities were pristine, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable! Mom really enjoyed herself (as did the others in our party). Thank you Liv2Eat for a great Mother's Day Brunch!"

  • "We eat here frequently and are never disappointed. My only suggestion would be to offer a few "standard" name brand beers. All of their beers are micro-brews and you never can be sure of what you are getting. From the name of the one I ordered I thought it would be smooth tasting, instead it was quite bitter. Sometimes I like to experiment with unusual beers, but sometimes I want a familiar taste."

  • "We were blown away by the food we had at our recent Easter brunch here. The risotto fritters were amazing (as always), the biscuits were light and airy w/ delicious homemade sour cherry jam and kumquat jam. My friend had the pea salad - shaved peas in the pod with hazelnuts and tiny bits of pork - really different and the flavors were excellent. The brunch entrees were all literally some of the best we've had. The french toast was so custardy, really thick slices of toast that just melted in your mouth. The shrimp and grits were the best I've ever had - the sauce had so much flavor, not a broth but more like a reduction, yet didn't feel heavy. Alas, we didn't have room for dessert and I wish we had tried the lamb..."

  • "I had walked past this restaurant many times but hadnt been in before. I needed a place in Federal Hill to take my parents for dinner and the menu - while not large - had a few solid choices. We were seated promptly at our reservation time at a high top table in the front room. It was small but quaint. The risotto ball appetizer was delicious and my dad enjoyed the cheese plate. Mom and b/f had amish chicken which they both loved; dad had crab cakes - also a winner. I had the steak - cooked perfectly. We were all very pleased with our meals and had a great evening. I think next time we'll try brunch!"

  • "The food is not great. You can get a much better tasting meal and a better atmosphere at Donna's, Gertrudes (at the BMA), etc. for the same price. The presentation of the food doesn't work. It feels like they are mimicking food presentation, as oppose to really understanding it. My salmon was dry and my wife's shrimp and grits was too salty."

  • "I found this restaurant as it was listed in my hotel magazine as one of the top 50 restaurants in Baltimore. The appetizer was very good but the clam/pasta entree was very salty. Service to ask if we wanted a second drink was slow but the worst part was hearing the chef yell at the help. They have an open kitchen set up and we were in a separate room. We could clearly hear the chef screaming at the help which totally distracted us from our meal and the conversation we were trying to have."

The food was great, but i was surprised they had Atlantic Salmon on the menu which has unsustainable seafood farming practices. I thought it was a drop in replacement for Bicycle, and although the food was great, seasonal, and well priced it does not have the sustainable values I thought it did."

  • "We eat here frequently because of the great food and quiet ambience (which is rare in Federal Hill). On this visit the food was up to its high standards, however, the restaurant was not quiet. For some reason there was a magician going from table to table doing card tricks and yelling as he went along. I can't tell you how off-putting this was as my wife and I tried to have a conversation at the end of a tough week. Please, I beg you, do not allow that magician back in your establishment. If we want noise and entertainment there are plenty of other venues for that in Federal Hill. What we like about your place is the food and serenity."

  • "Tried this for Restaurant Week and it was a great choice. The brussel sprout salad was fantastic and while the risotto balls were good, they were pretty rich and filling, so beware and choose the salad instead. The baked cod was wonderful and so was the pork, all with lots of tasty spinach. The panacotta was also great and the cookies were incredibly rich. Only drawback to this restaurant is the parking -- we circled the streets for a while and finally found a tiny space. The valet parking is not obvious."

  • "Fixed Price menu during Restaurant Week offered diverse selections. Brussel sprout salad was tasty, flank steak had amazing taste. Happy to see local foods on menu. Service was friendly, able to make recommendations . Loved wine tasting~ 3 oz each of 3 wines. Music and ambiance was festive yet not overpower- ing."
