A word from Little Country Gentleman
Little Country Gentleman offers fine dining with a sense of humor. Executive Chef, Mike Randolph, offers an array of dishes each night that draw on high quality ingredients sourced from the midwest. Each meal is a journey and will include a substantial amount of food and fun. We also feature a unique list of Old World Wines by the flight, bottle, or glass.

Each night offers a la carte, six-course, and grand tasting dining options. Diners will have two options for each dish on the six-course menu. The six-course and grand tasting menus will be set. Modifications are politely declined.

Due to the intimate size of the dining room we request a credit card to hold reservations, as well as, a 12 hour cancellation notice or a fee of $35 per guest will be charged.

  • "Little County Gentlemen is a most amazing dining experience. Were it located in a more cosmopolitan (read, open minded) town, there would be months long waiting lists. Everyone of the employees is passionate about their work. The quality of the food is as good as any place else, anywhere else. LCG was truly a perfect storm of people and ideas. You come out of there a different person after a dining experience. The food is raised to a level of art in creating flavor combinations. Each course of any meal is not just for eating but, for discovering the potential of the ingredients offered. The wine pairings are thoughtfully chosen and often surprise even the most experienced wine aficionado by how well the atypical match works."

  • "First off food was good and our poor waiter tried his best. When we arrived the music level was so loud it felt like we were in a dance club rather than a restaurant for dining. We asked our waiter if the music could be lowered and for about 10 minutes it was. Then the music was turned up even louder. Then we asked again for the level to be lowered and the music was turned up even louder. We tried 4 more times and each time the music got louder and finally the waiter told us that the restaurant was closing in a week and the owner felt that he could play the music as loud as he wanted. It was a horrible experience and we now understand why a restaurant that does not care about it's customers experience is closing."

  • "Once again, Little Country Gentleman does not disappoint. From the amazing cocktails created by Mr. Moll to the cuisine that is both evolutionary and revolutionary, this restaurant is wonderful. Taste everything you can because even the bread and butter are delicious. Don't be overly concerned with unfamiliar ingredients, it all comes together beautifully. Go and enjoy."

  • "We dined on a Saturday and both couples ordered opposite selections from the six-course menu. Offerings included several unique items (octopus with pickled potato on a salsa verde, gizzards, etc.) which were well prepared and extremely flavorful - the duck entrée was one of the best I've had. The server and wine steward were both informative, and service was excellent, however, our six courses were served over 3.5+ hours, so don't expect to be in a hurry. We ordered wine from the list and had some of our own for a $20 corkage fee. The cocktail menu is quirky and exciting so try something new from LCGs skilled mixologist. In short, a great place for foodies who want to relax for an evening over a variety of intriguing culinary selections."

  • "Had the grand taster with my mother. Little did we know that it would take 3.5 hours! It took over 45 minutes just to a bite. Granted, the service was great and they offered free drinks for the wait. Overall, the food was interesting, fun, playful, and in general delicious. Great place if you like taking small interesting bites, but a bad place if you are just hungry for food. The highlights were the oyster, sweetbreads, fish, beef cheeks/risotto, and of course, the 7 types of chocolate dessert (best being the flourless chocolate almond cake). They were well balanced and had good contrasting textures and unexpected flavors. Dishes that were good in theory but werent that great were the chorizo and shrimp n grits, cheeses, and sardines."

  • "A friend came to visit from Chicago, and we wanted to return her favor of taking us to wonderful places in Chicago by taking her to a special place in St. Louis. The choice of Little Country Gentleman was easy based on its diverse, innovative, and ever-changing menu of wonderful food, it's cocktails that rival Chicago's Aviary, and it's wonderful wine selections. Although the restaurant now has a la carte options, we decided to go for the five-course meal. The dinner was amazing - exceeding even our high expectations based on past meals here. This place is such a gem! If you are looking for a relaxed evening of fine dining and perfectly attentive service, you have to try this place!"

  • "went for a special birthday so splurged on the"Grand" tasting with the wine pairings. service is impeccable. grand tasting was "about" 15 courses for the night. they seem to play it by ear with the tastings. Portions are miniscule, presentation artful. some offerings were so delicious we were left wanting more while others would have been better skipped. all in all, it's an experience but extremely expensive. Cost for three people was within a few cents of $700 with tip and we had no pre diner drinks. they do ask if there is anything you just don't want and we stated raw onions, but we should have included things like chicken hearts, lamb sweet breads and pancreas. as I said... it's an experience, but pricey."
