A word from Little Alley Steak
A top-notch charcuterie. A full decanting service with an impressive wine list. A bourbon collection you wouldn’t believe. The newest edition to historic Roswell, Little Alley Steak, rivals the greatest of steakhouses including Peter Luger’s in New York or Bern’s in Tampa. Creators of top OTP hotspots, Hicham Azhari and Fikret Kovac are digging into the past to create a relaxed, late 1800′s-inspired space. The former antique shop has been transformed with refurbished brick, reclaimed wood and white subway tiles, track lighting fashioned from meat hooks and seating areas of booths and tables situated between low walls. The menu is top-notch, the drinks are divine, the atmosphere is warm and lively, and the experience is one you shouldn’t miss. Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "Nice place to go in the heart of Roswell. The steaks are good...not great, but the atmosphere, like everything in the area, makes for an enjoyable evening. Be sure to have the mussels appetizer. Excellent!"

  • "Being an avid steak eater I found the dry aged steaks to be a great option that most other steak place around Atlanta do not offer. Dry aged steaks have so much more flavor. This is not a place to go if you're looking for a cheap, or even moderately, price meal. This is definitely a high end steak place. The only thing I wish they had was more dry-aged offerings. I would definitely recommend Little Alley for special occasions."

  • "Fun restaurant for a night out. The wait staff were all friendly and attentive. The food is good...not great. Side orders of cauliflower and spinach with gruyere cheese were both good. Bone marrow appetizer was tasteless and disappointing, although wonderfully presented. Steaks cooked as requested, tender but just not flavorful---even the 60 day dry aged lacked flavor."

  • "4 vists and a great experience every time. Outstanding in an understatement. Not only is there product first class, the staff are extensively trained. You will not find a better Steakhouse."

  • "Our first visit to this restaurant far exceeded our high expectations (created by all the good buzz on this place)! We were there on a busy Saturday night and enjoyed a delicious dinner with impeccable, perfectly timed service. I would put this place up against any steakhouse in Buckhead. Love the downtown Roswell location. Can't wait to go back."

  • "Reservation was fine and we were seated promptly in a corner booth. Service was fairly attentive (very busy). High noise level and not much atmosphere: a wall of wines, with low lights, encircled room. It was a shame that they were all full and would be undrinkable! Waste of wine and money. The Carpaccio was drowned in a heavy mayonnaise so the Kobe beef flavor was overwhelmed. Warm plates were presented but we requested cold ones. Risotto was fabulous - rich and creamy but brussel sprouts were a little charred and very greasy. Both steaks were ordered medium rare but one was presented rare and was barely seared on one side. Back it went but this is unacceptable in a high end steak restaurant that touts both dry and wet aged beef."

  • "Great Food and top service. Just to noisy and crowded"

  • "Certainly high on the price scale, Little Alley demonstrates that there is a higher level of quality at that higher price point. Very impressive."

  • "Great, attentive service but steaks were overpriced. Wanted to try them, we have, will most likely not return."

  • "This is a gem in Roswell and worth the drive if you are coming from Buckhead. The food was wonderful and the place has great charm!"

  • "One of the best steaks in Atlanta, bar none...and I've been to just about every steak place worth mentioning in Atlanta. Just a great place to have a great dinner."

  • "Little Alley is one of our favorite spots but there's always an issue at the hostess desk. Our reservation was at 8 and we weren't seated until almost 8:30 and this continues to happen. Our biggest issue is the "attitude" at the hostess desk is the same as sorry, we don't give a sh*t, look our restaurant is full every night."

  • "This restaurant is grossly overrated. My wife and I ordered dry-aged steaks that both had to be sent back to the kitchen. My wife's steak was under-cooked and mine was heavily salted, although I had requested that it be cooked without anything. Even after these corrections were made, the steaks were mediocre at best--I would compare them to inexpensive cuts of meat at a chain restaurant. They definitely did not measure up to the extraordinarily high prices. This restaurant prides itself on its wine list, but I found it to be very limited and what was on the list was dramatically over-priced. The restaurant was extremely loud and noisy. We definitely will not be back to Little Alley Steaks and would not ever recommend it to others."

  • "I've been here four or five times already. Always excellent service, fantastic food, and extensive wine list. Need reservations; make them in advance, too. Tables are tight and it can get a little loud and crowded inside. Worth a visit. I'll be back again and again!"

  • "This was our first visit to Little Alley Steak and overall we had a good experience with the staff being very friendly and attentive to our needs. The food in general was also good but unfortunately I do have to take issue with the steak preparation. Little Alley Steak's signature preparation is cooking their steaks using a butter, garlic and thyme mixture. The amount of thyme used completely detracts from the taste of the steak. While this likely is their method of separating themselves from other area steakhouses it really is unnecessary. Everything else about the restaurant is great and a welcome change from the standard steakhouse experience. At a minimum they should give diners the choice of how they want their steaks prepared."

  • "They ruined it with some over flavored binding sauce. I think the use on meatballs too but it's ok on that."

  • "The food and ambience were EXCELLENT. But the servers were so bad, it ruined an otherwise great experience. We were at a table by the window, and a group of servers gathered in front of our table and talked the WHOLE TIME. They GOSSIPED about other customers right in front of us. They leaned over us more than once to look outside at the woman being talked about. And then one of the waiters was badmouthing a host and started chastising him right in front of us and everyone else. They also talked about NASCAR, their cousins,... all while we were trying to enjoy a special evening out. You wouldn’t expect that level of rudeness at an Applebee’s, and certainly not when you’re paying over $100 for a nice dinner. Sadly, we won't be back."

  • "Steak was expensive, but lacked flavor. Was not as good as you would expect for dry aged beef. Server was expressionless, boring and bordered on rude and disinterested. Cost outweighed the value. Would not recommend this restaurant to a steak lover."

  • "First, my only knock on "ambience" is due to the a/c being out the night we dined. It was warm. But - that didn't damper our evening, but we were envious of the folks dining at the sidewalk tables. Our server, Sue, was fantastic. She kept us between the lines as we made up our minds on apps, steaks and sides. Don't fill up on apps - the steaks are huge and the sides are too. My wife and I split a wedge salad on Sue's recommendation - and it was more than enough. I had the bone-in dry-aged strip and my wife had the regular strip - both were amazing. Sides were spinach brûlée, mushrooms and twice-baked potato. There was enough left over for another meal at home. Nice wine list for all price ranges, with many notables."

  • "We frequent this restaurant on a regular basis. Our steaks ( I had the filet, my husband the NY strip) were ok, but not outstanding. We've had much better at this restaurant. It was a slow night and my take is that the kitchen was taking it easy. The bar staff more than made up for this - the bar here is top-notch and the bartenders the best around. We will be back, of course. It's our favorite restaurant in Roswell. Just not impressed with the food this one night."

  • "The food was ok but the service is terrible. We had a group for my husbands birthday and our waitress was very bad. She was slow, unhelpful and had a poor attitude. I had a glass of wine dropped on me and she didn't seem to care nor did the manager."

  • "Little Alley is a great restaurant. Top quality beef with more choices than you'll see anywhere else. Wet aged, dry aged, bone in, bone out, all the different cuts. Outstanding flavor! Great choices for apps and sides. Combine that with outstanding service, a well stocked bar, and cool ambience and you've got a winner!"

  • "I previously had VIN 25 rated number #1 in Roswell, I am leaving them there and giving Little Alley's a 1A. It all depends on what you want to eat. The steak I ordered was as tender and tasty as I have ever had. My wife had the scallops which were excellent as well. The third member of the group had two appetizers, the bone marrow boats, the steak tartare and then the Kobe Wagu rib eye. He loved everything except the Brussels sprouts which were ordered for the table. They seemed over cooked and with little flavor. All felt the main courses were as good as we have had anywhere and would not hesitate returning to Little Alleys."

  • "We have been at Little Alley Steak several times for business meetings and with clients and it's a great place that I would highly recommend. We just took a client this past week, and he emailed me back that he enjoyed it so much - he was going to bring his wife this weekend on a date. That's a good sign!"

  • "We have had the pleasure of dining here multiple times. It has never failed to please in terms of food and service. I would put a Little Alley steak up against any other steak in the area (the state, even). And the sides are always excellent in quality and presentation."

  • "When we walked up, the hostess held for door for guests leaving. Then she shut the door in our faces. Not what I was wanting before I spent $200 on dinner for 2.Then we checked in, she said our table would be ready in 1 minute, then that a handicap gentleman had to be seated. That I understand and had no problem with. But then she sat 3 other tables. When a restaurant has food this amazing and a great ambiance, you really need to set the tone at the front door and make sure it's consistent. When we sat down, our server was great, food was specular. It was a little weird that they don't offer bread. But we were full& happy. Which was good because they ran out of dessert. Go for the food and I hope you don't have the door shut in your face."

  • "One of my favorite restaurants- Unfortunately, seated by the front door (on a cool night-drafty) Waitress rushed the order and was impatient and curt Some of the food delivered to table was not hot!"

  • "Food was good, BUT: 1. Had an early (5:30) reservation, and overheard a number of people who did NOT have reservations (was right next to hostess stand) YET our table was in an awful place next to the door. We were literally blasted with cold air anytime anyone went in or out. I should have asked to move, but not sure why we were placed there in the first place. 2. Server was pretty aloof-- not bad service, but not very attentive and not at all friendly. big fan of good steakhouses (and very willing to pay for a good one)-- Bone's & McKendricks, etc."

  • "The food was incredible. The steak alone was enough to satisfy without the great side. Only deterrent from me going back often is the menu is a la carte and the prices are a bit on the high end. Great for a special occasion, though. We got a complimentary creme brulee b/c is was our anniversary."
