A word from Litchfield's
Litchfield's at The Wigwam features a farm to table menu showcasing local farms and products which include steaks, chops, chicken, and fish. Chef de Cuisine Chris Knouse believes in letting the food speak for itself. His cuisine is hallmarked by the freshest of ingredients with menus that change seasonally. The restaurant's focal point is the mesquite wood fired show kitchen centered in the dining room. Includes a 80-seat dining room, two private dining areas, a wine cellar, a relaxed bar & lounge. Litchfield's is the community's hub for dining, celebrating or just a bit of people watching over delectable drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

  • "Our waiter was new, spoke very little english, and was definitely out of his league. I have been a vegetarian since 1975, and have ordered at some of the finest restaurants in the country. The fact that they had no vegetarian options was a little shocking. They only had 3 vegetables to choose from to add to a pasta, really?? They didn't even have tomatoes. What decent restaurant doesn't have tomatoes? When the entree's were served, we were all disenchanted. Capital Grille, and many more will make great vegetarian/vegan entrees for the many people who have dietary restrictions. Litchfields should add some vegetarian/vegan, and gluten-free items to their menu. Science now says to eat low on the food chain to maintain a healthy life."

  • "We have been giving Litchfield's a try for several years now, wanting to like them because the setting at the Wigwam is so lovely and there aren't any other really good restaurants close by, but they continually disappointed us with overpriced average food and poor service. But this year we were happily surprised. The spinach gnocchi and beet salad were very good. My husband's filet mignon was excellent. I ordered the salmon entree and while it was very good , there was too much salmon in proportion to the amount of brussel sprouts. Our chocolate dessert was disappointing in texture and taste. A big miss. That said, we had a lovely evening at Litchfield's and will return."

  • "We really enjoyed our evening at Litchfields. Our server was delightful and shared with us her favorites from the menu. She was spot on with the Sea Bass and Pork Bellies--both were delicious. The sourdough bread was excellent--perfectly crusty. The view was very nice and the area was quiet enough to visit. Thanks for a great evening!"

  • "We liked the restaurant but the service was a little weird. We ordered a bottle of Sonoma Pino and they delivered a bottle of a Central Coast vineyard which looks similar but we know costs less. We had to point this out to the waitress who didn't seem to know and said this was what was given to her. We eventually got the right bottle after complaining to the manager. We felt un-easy after that about the restaurant's honesty. The wine cost as much as our dinners. This is supposed to be a fine dining experience?"

  • "My wife and I were married at the Wigwam resort so we dine at Litchfield's on our anniversary. As before, the food tasted amazing and the atmosphere was perfect for our occasion, but in my opinion, the service lacked compared to years past. Our waitress was a "robot" and was not personable with us in any way. Previous servers have been more engaging and celebrated our special occasion with us, making our dining experience more memorable. Also, they forgot to bring out the "pre-meal" bread and butter. Finally realizing this, it was finally served moments before our meals. In no way was the service rude or unprofessional, so we still enjoyed our anniversary dinner. It just wasn't as memorable as years past."

Seabass and Grouper Special was amazingly moist and flakey.I tried the duck and lamb chops and was pleased that they cooked it exactly how I asked. We plan to bring family back at the end of March to celebrate our dad's birthday."

  • "I bought a Groupon a few months back to try Litchfields as I LOVE the Wigwam and $25.00 for $50.00 worth of food can't be beat! I made a reservation and upon arrival we were promptly greeted and seated and brought water. It took at least 10 minutes for our server to show up at our table and I had to ask 3 times for the same iced tea refill. I was pleasantly surprised by my entrée (pork chop with polenta....it was excellent) but my husband's steak was an epic fail! He didn't even eat half of it. After the groupon, our bill was only $18.00. I definitely would not buy another one to Litchfields but will continue to go to the wigwam (wigwam bar and reds)."

He walked us from the hotel to the restaurant ( about 5 min ) instead of just telling us where to go. He really seemed to enjoy his work, need more people like that in this world!!!."

  • "Over the years, we have dined at the Wigwam's restaurants (Arizona Kitchen, Red's). For several years we always had our family for Christmas Eve Dinner. The food has always been amazing, and on point. The recent experience at Litchfields was somewhat disappointing, strictly from the noise level in the room. I was sitting across from my table mate, and could not hear what she was saying. The server was overwhelmed, and it took 25 minutes to get our drink order. We settled on a menu items, but did not get any appetizers due to time spent waiting for our drinks to arrive. Again, the food was as expected, delicious. We will give it another try soon."

It was renovated not long ago and the they have done a great job of retaining the history and ambience of the place. Dinner was good. Nice selection. Service was good. On the day we were there it was quite busy and the service was a bit inconsistent but still good. Will go back for sure. The place is a classic with a nice warm feel to it and lots of character."

  • "Knowing full well it was New Year's Eve we booked a table for dinner at Litchfield's anyway. We expected the high priced special menu, but didn't expect disorganized and very poor service. We ended up having to beg for coffee and never got the desert that was part of the special menu. Not a good experience. Why do good restaurants go with a special menu that they can't handle when they generally do a decent job with their regular menu. This was our second and final visit to Litchfield's."

  • "Booked a table for Christmas eve based on reviewers comments. It's a little difficult to find if you're not familiar with the area (we were from out-of-state). Well worth it once we found it. Casual dining atmosphere, open kitchen with wonderful aromas. Generous pour on my Manhattan cocktail. Food is locally sourced, well plated, and delicious. We will probably work a lunch in at the restaurant on our return trip to Phoenix."
