I had booked for our anniversary.
It was a Friday and traffic sucked getting home. I was late and we rang to tell them and got there. They still got us in and so worth it. Service was outstanding. Had the sweetest most earnest waitress who made sure I knew the portion size, way fish would be cooked. The beers are outstanding and the food is even better. The chefs bring a love to the food that can be tasted in every amazing morsel. Some dishes are better than others true but it changes menu up frequently so always fun trying latest. My only area I would say is they need a mini platter dessert as it all looked good. Wish this place every success. There's a lot of love and passion in their food and beers and it shows."

Great group dinner at Liquid
Bread. We sat near the kitchen which was cool because we could see all the food that was being served. Being in a bigger group was even better because we ordered a lot of different items and shared. Loved the beer sampler. We all enjoyed this cool spot to eat."

this place was so-so. a lot of
hype associated with it. my wife and I like diners, big portions and fast service (think Black Bear), but this was more high end, high prices and a teeny tiny bit of food. We spent $90 between the two of us. I had ONE beer, she had ONE glass of sparkling wine, we shared an appetizer (a small plate of three pieces of pork belly that were each half the size of a business card), I had the fish and she had a seafood & chorizo stew. $90 AMERICAN DOLLARS. A hip place for hip hipsters. Elegant, clean and good beer, but won't be coming back."

Dined there last weekend and the
food is absolutely amazing! My friend and I shared both the pork belly (the best I think I've ever had!), and their signature burger, which was truly decadent. The bun perfectly toasted, the burger cooked to perfection, and the bearnaise sauce addition made what was already a good burger, a great burger! If you go, you HAVE to get the burger. You won't find anything like it anywhere else. Our server was very nice and helpful on choosing a beer from the vast menu of options. Definitely need to make a reservation. The place is pretty small."

Every time we come here for a bite
and a drink we end up having a three course meal. The menu seems simple but the flavors are very fresh and creative. My favorite part of dinning here is to experience the science of textures with every single bite. After five times of coming here I finally tried the burger and I must say, it is all that they praise about and then some. Oh! And they have beers, good beers, lots of good beers... Need to say more?"

Little tough to find in the
pouring rain, this place is worth the effort. 4 of us dined, and almost everything we had was stellar. Our waiter allowed a couple of small tastes to the unsure, and this resulted in 3 great beers and a very nice glass of wine. The Kale salads were great, but the pork belly was DIVINE. (Guess which one I ordered!) The hamburger lived up to it's billing, the Chef's garden was a delicious as our server promised, the chicken and waffles were good (the chicken EXCELLENT) and the scallops wonderful. Great food all around, we were stuffed. We should have stopped there. Our dessert was the pumpkin 2 ways, and it was a bit disappointing. the pastry was tough and difficult to chew, and the pudding relatively bland."
Dined on 2/28/2014
Great beers on tap and in bottles.
Good food, had the braised ribs. Service could be better, gap between drinks was too much. Had to ask for more drinks or refills"
Dined on 2/27/2014
Tall tables in a small-ish space.
Great food with an good beer list instead of a wide wine list (though they still have wine options). Octopus mussels chorizo dish was amazing. About 20 beers on table, wait staff happy to offer a taste if you're not sure what you want. Bottle list too, and bottles to go."
Dined on 2/23/2014
We went for the food, not being
serious beer drinkers, and ended up loving both the food and beer. Server Corey did a great job with beer recommendations..wow! Do not miss the pork belly and the mussels! This place is great for a fun, friendly night out with amazing food and beer!!!!!"
Dined on 2/22/2014
Beer selection is really good, so
many to choose from. Food was superb but their service could be improved. Once we recd our meals, no one checked up on us to see how were doing. It was a busy night, but still. Great place however and would go again"
Dined on 2/20/2014
And the beer selection is
outstanding. The room is a bit cramped and loud but that won't deter me from going back."
Dined on 2/20/2014
Food was very different and very
well prepared and tasteful. Only complaint was that restaurant is noisy."
Dined on 2/18/2014
With items like squid ink
spaghetti, pork belly, and the most amazing burger you can sink your teeth into, its really hard not to enjoy your time at Liquid Bread. Downtown Campbell's food scene is really starting to step its game up and players like Liquid Bread really raise the bar on what to serve sophisticated pallets. I for one am so ecstatic that these talented guys decided to set up shop in my backyard because they satisfy what I felt was a big void in the south bay's food culture. No fuss, casual dining serving gorgeous, sophisticated, delicious dishes. I really hope they are here to stay!"
Dined on 2/15/2014
Most importantly, from the
Starters all the way through the desert, each dish was prepared perfectly. The kitchen crew works magic with food. The atmosphere is casual and a great place to hang out for a good conversation over a leisurely meal. The staff was very attentive and smoothly handled any tag team coverage that may be needed. This was a very positive dining experience."
Dined on 2/13/2014
Everything was right on. Food,
beer, service, ambience, price. Perfect. That Gearbox Red Ale is good. Also the Celery Root soup was delicious."
Dined on 2/14/2014
If you have looked at the reviews,
this one cannot add much more. Very good food (Burger, Goat Pasta, Scallop small plate) and a staff that knows the beers and can help with the pairings. A very nice evening."
Dined on 2/7/2014
The food was fantastic, but you
have to be willing to try different things."
Dined on 2/4/2014
we've been to Liquid Bread a
couple times and it is always delicious. they regularly change out the beers they serve and offer a good selection. I love doing flights to sample some new brews. Only "complaint" is that there are very few options for vegetarians. i think i've ended up ordering the same thing a couple times because its my only choice unless i want a salad. that said, the food is delicious."
Dined on 1/31/2014
Perfect place to enjoy with your
fellow beer and food enthusiast."
Dined on 1/22/2014
Great food, innovative flavor
combinations, amazing beer menu that would earn Guy's respect. Great place to go with friends so you can try more things on the menu."
Dined on 1/12/2014
It is clear from the first words
on the menu the folks here are passionate and excited about Liquid Bread. And it is obvious from the first bite they have succeeded in delivering interesting and excellent "mastications." We had the grilled kale and pomegranate salad and the warm chef's garden vegetable salad as starters. Very different but both really good. And we followed that with the mussles "stew" and the bavette steak. Great flavors and just the right portion sizes. Often when we go out we end up agreeing we would have been better off eating at home - my boyfriend is an excellent cook - but Liquid Bread stood out as one of the better restaurants we've been to in months. We will definitely be back."

improved, still needs some work"

Chef John Burke makes the most of
the opportunity to offer appetizing, well-executed dishes to accompany guests' libations. Delicious chicken and waffles, juicy, flavorful burger served with a luxurious Bernaise sauce, well-caramelized scallops, divine pork belly, fresh Yellowtail, satisfying pate and lovely cheeses. Brownie is served warm with whipped cream and has bits of candied coffee beans to add interest to its flavor and texture. Beer ice cream float served in a mason jar glass is the ultimate way to enjoy the best of both ingredients. Service is very friendly and helpful."
Dined on 1/5/2014
Run don't walk here. Get as
quickly as you can. Only reason I didn't lick the appetizer plate chicken pate was we were in a restaurant. Husband's chicken and waffles was best tasting juices running chicken ever. Tasted like chicken was making love than being a meal. My scallops were melt in mouth and sweet potatoes mash perfect accomplished. Beer list is outstanding. Had a honey mead with cloves orange rind and blackberry. My only lack here is the desserts. Nothing sounds or tastes as good as the main meals or entrees but you are nicely full by the time you hit the sweets so don't feel bad for leaving it."
Dined on 12/31/2013
Having a restaurant to dine in
that offers fresh quality ingredients in dishes that make you want to try more than one dish each is amazing. The warm veggie salad to start with was incredible! Kale salad not a bad second. We combined and chose a variety of dishes from each of the sections on the menu and were all pleasantly surprised with our entrees. From mushrooms to cod to yellow tail and then pork belly, each dish had a nice side with it and each dish had flavors bursting out of it. We all enjoyed that we could sample a little bit of a beer or wine that we weren't sure about but we still wanted to be adventurous and try something new."
Dined on 12/28/2013
Food was outstanding. Mussels and
pork belly dishes were really good. Service was friendly, but not good. We were seated promptly, but then waited forever for anyone to come to our table. When we were finished, they promptly packed up our leftovers in a takeout box, but then vanished for 10-15 minutes...I finally had to get up and go ask them to please bring our check (where I found two employees casually talking about non work stuff, and the other on her phone texting somebody...not that I care what they do with their time, but it was annoying when they were apparently oblivious to customers waiting for quite a while just to get their check and leave). Now with that banter out of the way, I'll repeat that the food was great! And the beer."
Dined on 12/27/2013
Food is always great here Service
is improved - still not commensurate with the food, but better than before."
Dined on 12/27/2013
Interesting Menu with parings not
normally seen in other places. Vast choice of Micro Brews and offers flights of beer. Make a reservation or you may end up on the back patio, which is actually not bad."

I had heard great things about
Liquid Bread and was excited to try it. YUM! Started with a mushroom appetizer that had barley, brussel sprouts and pistachios in a balsamic glaze. The flavors were amazing! I had the steak as an entree and my friends had the burger (with bernaise sauce!) and rock cod. My steak was incredibly tender and perfectly prepared medium-rare. My friends ranted about their meals as well. For dessert we had their pumpkin three ways and cardamom chocolate brownie. Really, really good. Overall, spectacular food! Their beer selection is out of this world. Quite the extensive on-tap and bottled choices. They also had a respectable wine list and non-alcoholic menu. Service was superb. I can't wait to go back!"
Dined on 12/21/2013
The food is delicious. We had
great service as well. I love doing flights of beer to taste some seasonal beers. Very enjoyable!"
Dined on 12/20/2013
Of course the beer was good but
even though the menu was very simple, the food was good (the steak was great though - best dish by far)."
Dined on 12/10/2013
Love the food here. I do wish all
the chairs had backs. It's very uncomfortable to sit on a stool for an entire dinner...and there's no place to put your coat!"
Dined on 12/8/2013
Had an AMAZING girls night here
with two other ladies. Wouldn't recommend for larger than 6 probably (due to layout of tables) but we had the best time sharing some small plates and trying each others entree's. We also LOVED the beer sampler flight, which allowed us to try a large number of the interesting and unusual beers on the list without committing to a full pint. I think we each did 3 of the samplers so we were able to taste 9 beers without getting too full. The food was interesting but not to the point of taking away from the taste or presentation. Not a place to go on a strict diet - go here for a celebration or after a good workout and ignore the calories, the taste is TOTALLY worth it! Def recommend."
Dined on 12/5/2013
We had a wonderful meal here on a
Sat. night. Service was exceptional - our server, Corey, was spot on recommending beers that not only appealed to the types of beers we told him we liked, but also complimented our food choices superbly. We had the butternut squash soup, which was silky smooth with just right right amount of spice and sweetness. We also tried and loved the grilled kale salad. For entrees we had the Babette steak, cooked to a perfect med. rare, with a delicious sauce that I wished I could lick off my plate , and the chicken & waffles, which was simply the best I'd ever had. Dessert was pumpkin three ways, and it was totally yummy. Loved the beers, loved the food, atmosphere was fun and service was top notch."
Dined on 11/23/2013
This is my 6th or 7th visit to
Liquid Bread. The service as usual was outstanding, Cory was attentive and knowledgable. The beer selection was excellent and their hamburger is one of the very best I have ever had. Will be back soon."
Dined on 11/24/2013
The appetizers were delicious, the
drinks unique and satisfying, and the initial service delightful and attentive. However, once we received drinks and appetizers, the service declined greatly and we didn't receive our main dishes until a full hour after we arrived. We were a party of 7 celebrating a birthday. We had only one simple vegetable substitution on a dish but nothing that should have warranted that kind of delay. With primarily back-less stools for seats, this delay became very uncomfortable. Although the restaurant became full, it was not overloaded. Service outweighed the food and drink, unfortunately."
Dined on 11/21/2013
We came for the many beer choices
and we were not disappointed. We tried 3 flights of three beers each. Wonderful tasting beers we don't often see. The food was good but rather strange for my taste. They were very accommodating and allowed interesting substitutions. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and I am sure we will return."
Dined on 11/19/2013
Fantastic food. Our party of 6 was
able to share some dishes and that made it all the more fun. Beer list is extensive to say the least. We will be back."
Dined on 11/9/2013
Great selection of interesting,
hard to find beers, with tasty, upscale food to match"
Dined on 11/3/2013
The menu is limited of entree
choices. However, any choice is worth exploring based upon the description alone. You will not be disappointed with your choice as the flavors come alive in what will be a unique experience. If you like beer, there are a lot of choices when selecting from an international or domestic brewery's craft beer. The same goes for wine. If you want something stronger, wait until December when they can begin offering other spirits. I only wish we could dine there more often but will be limited as the experience is pricey."
