Portions are reasonable. Good variety of food. It's more of a fusion Thai, rather than your traditional Thai restaurant. Bar drinks are so-so. Might be the bartender is new. He could not make the cosmo with the right amount of vodka, cranberry, and ice.

Nice little restaurant and it's not in the congested Mission/Noe Valley area. If you're tired of trying to get into the restaurants in the trendier areas, try Lingba. Food is just as good as any Vietnamese I've ever had, it's inexpensive and it's not crowded!

Great for vegetarians. Can substitute almost every meat dish for tofu. One of the best yellow curries and Tom Yum soups we have ever had. Highly recommend the vegetarian appetizer platter and the tofu special. Great, unique cocktails. I loved the Magnifique. Not too sweet. Knowledgable, friendly service. Clean and charming atmosphere. A little pricy, but well worth it. One of the best Thai restaraunts.

I was celebrating my birthday with 3 friends and we all enjoyed the evening. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, not your garden variety Thai food. We particularly enjoyed the garlic noodles with char su pork and the Chicken massaman curry. We ended the meal with Fried bananas and Flourless chocolate cake, both were delicious and the chocolate cake came with a candle for my birthday. A wonderful evening was had by all!

We quite enjoyed the food and thought it was quite tasty and well presented. We were the only diners when we first got there and then two others arrived later. The service was not attentive nor helpful. They were not rude, just not observant when our table had too many dishes on it, empty dishes or that we just did not have the space for all the dishes we ordered. Since they did not care and weren't even in the dining room, I had to place a dish or two on the empty table next to us. We had guests from Japan and it was embarrassing to get such mediocre service. We did enjoy the food and ambience of the design of the restaurant. The food was delicious Also, the bar next door is always a fun place to have drinks. Worthwhile.

Go for the ambiance and the interesting cocktails. The food was decent, not mindblowing, and we were all shocked that I was charged an extra dollar for making my dish vegetarian! This was not listed on the menu and seemed a bit ridiculous to all of us. Also, while we appreciate that the restaurant tries to source local and sustainable ingredients, they should acknowledge ON THE MENU that some of the ingredients are not always available. My fiance wanted to order the 1/2 free-range chicken, but they were "out." We visited the restaurant on a Tuesday and were seated at 7:30; the dining room was relatively empty when we got there, so we know they didn't just run out that night. Dishes like this should be listed as a "special" when available.

We had a pre-theater dinner here fairly early on a Sat. night. The waving palm frond fans are a nice touch - food was moderately priced and good. Nice beer list. The pork garlic noodles was a little dry, but the seafood green curry was outstanding, as were the corn cakes. Service was not especially friendly or informative, but they kept an eye on our water glasses and asked a couple of times if things were ok. We'd return if we were in the neighborhood, but wouldn't make a special trip.

Delicious food, very well presented. Not a huge menu, but enough different dishes in each category. Entree's were quite large--had to take 1/2 of mine home. Didn't have wine, so didn't check the wine list, but the Thai iced tea was delicious!

Wonderful ambiance and solid food. I'm living in Potrero Hill for the summer, and this place is a great neighborhood gem. While the neighborhood is a little bit out of the way, it is definitely worth the trip. The seafood sampler and yellow curry we ordered were both really good. The fruity cocktails were fun too, although the lime over-powered the peach in the peach caipirinha we ordered.

When we got to the restaurant there was a party of about 50 people so I'm not sure what the normal ambiance of the place was but it took them over 30 minutes to seat us when I made reseravations which was kind of a bummer but the hostess was very nice and sent us rolls on the house while we were waiting. The giant volcanic drink thing was not that strong at all although it tasted good. The food was huge portions and very delicious! Orginally went for the dine about town menu and ended up just ordering from the menu. Overrall good experience, would go back. But wouldn't go as much out of my way for it next time.

Dine About Town menu included a drink so I ordered a lychee martini (excellent) and separately a Singapore Sling, a drink hard to find in bars nowadays. Had papaya salad, pad thai and chocolate cake with two scoops of ice cream. Excellent service. Only drawback is in late afternoon sun shines through windows in bar. I suggested roll down bamboo draw blinds.

Excellent service and presentation! We were not in a hurry and appreciated the timing very much. It was nice that Lagunitas was on tap and the food was outstanding. We had yellow curry and pad kee mow. It didn't seem like the menu specified heat, and this was a concern as one diner wanted very mild. The server was helpful with the food choices in this regard. Great neighborhood find, we will certainly return.

I've been going to Lingba since it was the obscure "tiki" bar back in the days when you could find parking right in front even on a Friday night. Although, it is not the same as when Thanya and Salee used to be there it is still a great neighborhood Thai place. It's great for lunches, takeout, or just escaping the heat on an early evening (one of the few restuarants with AC in SF!) For a non-vegetarian, the tofu spring rolls were delicious and the curry hot yet flavorful. The portions are filling and even enough to take home in a doggie bag.

Second attempt, second success. Food was as good as the first time, brought friends and now more people agree it is some of the best thai food in San Francisco. Vegetarian platter and the everything platter with the fantastic peanut sauce, sweet pepper sauce, and the cilatro sauce make everything addictive. Particularly enjoyed the fried squash we dipped. Green curry vegetarian style is very spicy and might actually be not fantastic, lamb curry is much better. Enjoy the appetizers and ambiance, we will be back.

Beyond expectations! The food was fantastic, the service impeccable, in a neat little spot in potrero. We loved the food, beyond expectations. Everything was flavorful from the "Everything Plater" where the 3 sauces each left an amazing grin on my partner at the flavorfulness to hot sour spicy mushroom soup (added seafood, defintely a good add) to the spicy rum shake for dessert! Notice the blackrice, yes black rice. We had it and it tasty, we were told it is sweeter and used for dessert and we agree, stick with jasmine to keep the flavors popping from lamb curry entree. Platter was a definite, please don't go without getting one of the 3 platters, I can only vouch for the everything platter, but they all share commonality. Enjoy!

I walked in with a date - no one was there to greet us, creating an awkward couple of minutes until the host came to find us; we were seated at a table that had a harsh light from outside the restaurant shining directly on us; i asked to be moved to one of the many other open tables and were met with a puzzled look... the service was amateurish overall (took a while to be asked for drink order) and rather than suffer through what was starting to look like a disasterous dinner, we left and ate at baraka around the corner - which was terrific

Wow, what amazing food. We went to support the Aids/Cancer emergency fund. It was so incredible -- a little dangerous that it is in my neighborhood. We ordered a number of dishes and they were all snapped up. Also great to know that Lingba is great for vegetarians - our friend is a veggie and it was easy for him to find delicious food and be faced with the 'steamed veggies' as his only choice. Will be our first choice for eating out. Don't pass it by!!!
