The food is excellent, service is exactly right, and the ambiance -- especially the outdoor patio on a beautiful evening -- is perfect. The wine list is not spectacular, probably less than 100 choices, but offers a good variety of excellent wines and a nice selection of affordable and interesting options. The atmosphere is not stuffy, but casual and upbeat. The food was amazing and the prices were rather reasonable. Zach continued to wait on us adding his hilarious wit and charm to make our experience one of a kind. Dinner at Lindeys in German Village was memorable. Hubby ordered the salmon special, I, the Grouper. Asked to sub the risotto for mascarpone polenta. Waitress said since that was on the Salmon spec not the Grouper, to choose something else. OK - no biggie -
But during the salad course, she said she WAS able to get me the Polenta accompanyment. Delish! Both of us enjoyed the food, not rushed or intrusive. The music was a little loud (set for when the room is full), but our waitress was happy to turn it down. Service overall was friendly and efficient, and one minor misunderstanding was quickly and quietly resolved. we like the decoration of the room and the lighting, the view onto the neighborhood streets was relaxing.
All our courses were excellent, portion size was nicely controlled so that even after a soup, a salad, a main course, and a dessert, we were comfortable.

I got the scallops and as it was placed in front of me, the lady at the table next to me siad, "oh--the scallops look good!" They were! The whole combination of flavors added to the dish. We got stuck in traffic, so we called the restaurant at 4:15 P.M. and told them we were running late. We were told they would hold our reservation until 4:45 P.M. and if we arrived at 5:00 P.M., we would have to be finish dinner by 6:00 P.M. because of other reservations. My inclination was to go elsewhere, but my wife wanted to try a restaurant in this area. We arrived before 5:00 P.M. and we were seated promptly. Nothing was said. There were about 12 tables with 1 in use. By the time we left the restaurant at 7:00 P.M., 2 other tables were in use. They caused us unneeded concern as we celebrated our son's graduation.
