  • "Our family has used Lindey's Sunday Brunch as our celebration ritual since we held out wedding breakfast there. The service is superb, the food perfect, and we love the atmosphere. Lindey's is a local institution and you'll see why when you eat there."

  • "On a moments notice, we were able o get reservations, clean up and head down to German Village to Lindeys. We pulled up and they had complimentary valet, we were seated right away and enjoyed a nice relaxing and romantic dinner. Wonderful food and great cosmos! Would definitely visit again and would highly recommend!!!"

  • "Lindey's is my favorite restaurant in Columbus. The food and service is always outstanding!! It is great for business lunches as well as a romantic dinner. The patio throughout the summer is exceptionally speculator."

  • "It was a pleasure to treat my friend to a well deserved retirement lunch. It was a beautiful day in the Lindey's garden to celebrate a long and accomplished career . The staff was attentive and our lunch was delicious. Thank you all!"

  • "The waiter was marvelous, he was very attentive and humerous. The first course was fresh and very tasty, all five of us had choosen salads. The filet was the best I've ever had, however the mashed potatoes were cold upon arrival. My guests experienced the same cold taters. The rack of lamb was seasoned well, but there was no lamb taste. Two plates were ordered, one came with a good portion of sauce, the second plate had very little. The porkchops were notable as well as the tornedos of beef. The wine and port list was excellent, especially the Moscato. Creme burlee was a little weak as well as the peanut butter chocolate dessert. The guest with the Lindey post mortem. French pressed coffee was excellent."

  • "I have eaten at Lindey's in German Village many times and have always had a good experience, breakfast, brunch or dinner, inside or outside. This time I was with guests from the middle east and I know that they were impressed and said they would come again with friends."

  • "The food, as usual, was wonderful. It was slow in coming, even on a Sunday that was only moderately busy. The major problem was that one person was served the incorrect food. Everyone else at the table clearly heard his order, but the waiter brought a totally different dish. The rest of the party had much earlier finished their meal when his correct order came. The waiter apologized, but the mistake compromised an otherwise fine anniversary celebration."

  • "My family and I dined at Lindey's to celebrate graduation with my family on a Saturday night. I made the reservation for 5 people on Tuesday and the only available reservation times were 4pm and after 8:30pm. If you want to dine here on a Friday or Saturday make sure you make reservations enough ahead of time!! The food was very good. The lobster and shrimp risotto was very good and a good size. The ribeye also looked very filling since it came with a side. The salmon did not come with a side, so I recommend getting a salad or soup as a starter. The restaurant was a bit noisy inside--so it was hard to hold a conversation across the table. There was a large group nearby so that was a big contributor. Overall a lovely evening."

  • "Has a great patio, and a great happy hour. The menu is consistent, you get what you expect. There are no surprises at Lindey's."

  • "Pretty much everything on the menu is good. I got the sea bass which was moist and tender. I love sea bass and there are many restaurants in Columbus that serve it and do it well. It's a great spot for special occasions as well, but parking is a pain on the weekends."

  • "15th wedding anniversary and I wanted to do something nice for the wife. After reading reviews and talking to many people...Lindey's was the name that came up the most. Sat on the patio as it was a nice evening. Started out with calamari and shrimp appetizer. Was good...little spicy but good. Wife had the salmon and I had the trout. Both had excellent taste. Topped off the dinner with a fabulous coconut cream pie and frozen peanut butter and chocolate mousse. Staff was friendly and did a great job."

  • "Dined on the patio for lunch, had an outstanding first experience!! Madison was our waitress and she was phenomenal, helpful, funny...patient with us as we asked her questions about the menu. Just an overall outstanding experience and I can't wait to come back."

  • "You just can't miss with the food at Lindey's. I have dined here probably 30 or 40 times over a period of several years (I come at least once and sometimes more often every time business gets me to Columbus) and have never had a bad meal. The atmosphere is just lovely -- warm and inviting but never stuffy. On this particular occasion I need to take one star away for service ... our server was distracted by a party in the private room upstairs. That's fine, but on a Sunday evening when the place wasn't even half full, make some other arrangements, OK? I should not have to go out to the bar myself, you know? Still, the food was just great, the apology was sincere, and I will rush back the next time I'm in town."

  • "Lindey's is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. I have sometimes stopped in Columbus only to dine here. On this visit the food was just as wonderful as ever -- the steak frites and wedge salad are just amazing. But I have to mark the place down this time for a rare and unusual service lapse. For reasons best known to him, the manager began a stemware inquisition while the restaurant was still quite full of diners -- including my table adjacent to the scene of the crime. He apparently noticed a glass with some spots at the next table and he deployed several servers to wipe every glass at every empty table, upbraiding them loudly for not having done it already. Attention to detail is fine - but do it when the place is closed, buddy."

  • "I've never actually written an online review, but this venue has compelled me to do so. The ravioli on the top of the plate was cool and the ones underneath were warm? Our flat bread had almost nothing on it and the center pieces were actually relatively soggy. We most likely will not be back unless a friend is having an event/party at this venue. The only positive aspect would have been the staff, they were friendly."

  • "We had a reservation for brunch and, after being shown to a table in the front dining room near the entrance, requested a more private table where we could talk. We were then seated in the rear of another room, where most people were finishing their meals. It was a bit noisy at first, but by the time we were finished with our meal there were no others left in the dining room. The brunch dishes (eggs benedict) were excellent and the fruit was exceptionally fresh. Even though the dining room had emptied, there was never a "push" for us to leave and the waiter simply checked with us regularly to make sure we were not in need of anything. We truly appreciated our time for conversation and thank the staff for accommodating our needs."

  • "No one can resist having lunch in the beautiful patio at Lindey's when the sun shimmers through the trees and the breeze is light. We were seated next to the fountain in the center which was filled with happy golden fish and greenery. It's just one of the best, nicest outdoor dining experiences in Columbus, Ohio. And, lunch was outstanding because of a reimagined Crab Louie Salad -- it was amazing. Rather than scattered on greens, the salad is now constructed with layers in a circular shape and the dressing gets a chance to shine along with bright, crisp, diagonal slicings of green onion and, of course, plenty of delicious lump crab meat and buttery avocado. Thanks, Lindey's! It just gets better every time!"

  • "Great restaurant, fabulous food! Nice that you can have your choice of fun, noisy spot to eat out front by the bar or more quiet and intimate in the back room. Service is great from the moment you valet your car. (parking in the village is a pain)."

  • "The food was good but they didn't have any vegan friendly food. I ended up getting very unimpressive pasta. The restaurant was also a bit cold. The rest of my group loved the restaurant, though."

  • "Beautiful evening and were lucky enough to sit outside on the lovely patio. They were out of my favorite dish - the sea bass. And they were also out of the seafood special. However, there were lots of other menu options and we had a great meal."

  • "Stopped in for Restaurant Week 2014. We were quickly seated, and our water glasses were filled. Then we waited almost 10 minutes for our server to stop by to take our drink order. The rest of the service was ok, but nothing special. While it was restaurant week, it was also a Saturday night, which is always quite busy. Dinner was tasty. The duck wings and the pork belly tostado were both nicely prepared. The shrimp and grits was a great combination of flavors, but was slightly surprised of the small quantity and size of the shrimp. Maybe 6 shrimp that were 30 count. Compared to my dining partner's 6 ounce filet topped with an egg over roasted veggies, I felt a little cheated. Desserts were good also. Overall a good meal."

  • "This is our favorite restaurant for many reasons. It feels like being in Paris....same ambience, wonderful food, a very special place where we have celebrated many important occasions from romantic lunches for two to graduations, engagements, birthdays, and dinner with great friends. We love it and go back again and again. Highly recommend!"

  • "I'm 56 years old. I've eaten out thousands of times. I've never given a zero tip until going to Lindey's. That's not completely correct because I did tip the bartender, he was excellent. Our waitress on the other hand was essentially non-existent. We arrived spot-on time for our reservation (we were actually 45 minutes early and sat at the bar until our reservation time). We did not meet our server until 20 minutes had passed. She didn't seem to care we waited so long. We saw her exactly two times the first 45 minutes we were there. We both ordered steaks, no steak knives. Others around us with different servers seemed to receive reasonable attention. On a positive note the food was excellent. We will go again but ask for any one but Laura."

  • "My husband really enjoyed the Cowboy Filet Restaurant Week Special. The filet was great with the side of onion straws and vegetables topped off with the chipotle lime sauce. I had the quail special which was ok. Our friend really enjoyed the brownie with the coffee ice cream and the kahlua fudge sauce !"

  • "I go with my inlaws, or just my husband. I take my girlfriends & my sisters. Never had anything that wasn't outstanding. We love several small plates such as the mussels, tuna tartar, beef carpaccio and many more. Great wait staff, super friendly. We love the wine list. Stags leap & Caymus are our go to wines. You will love it."

  • "Lindey's continues to surprise us with excellent food and an excellent experience. The GM, Todd, is absolutely fantastic. Came to our table and asked how everything was and asked us how he could help us with anything else. The restaurant is 5-star for customer satisfaction. We love Lindey's."

  • "Everything we got was amazing! The duck wing and pork belly tostada appetizers, the cowboy steak, and the desserts were all above our expectations. It's too bad they were all limited-time items on the Restaurant Week menu, but I'm sure that the regular menu has plenty of winners as well. We'll definitely be back again to find out!"

  • "While visiting Columbus with my son we chose to try out this highly rated restaurant. We Ordered spinach salad and lobster bisque for appetizers. My son enjoyed his soup, salad was underdressed and just ok. My risotto dinner with lobster and shrimp was good and my son ordered a pasta dish. For dessert I had a peach crostata which I thought was outstanding but too big to finish. My son had a mousse he enjoyed with peanut butter. Great neighborhood, great service!"

  • "Went with another couple for dinner during restaurant week and we all ordered from the Prix Fixe menu. Everything was great. Shrimp and grits was best I have ever had as grits were super creamy and shrimp were perfectly tender in a flavorful sauce. Root beer float Creme brûlée and peach crostata were both great at dessert. Only reason I marked service down was that a new father showed up in the bar and bought a round for the whole place. Food service really slow afterwards. Understandable I guess."

  • "Great waiter! Food was a disappointment. I ordered the shrimp/lobster risotto. Risotto was gummy; cooked too long. My husband had the quail. Quail was dry, fingerling potatoes were hard and cole slaw was dry. It was our first time there and we were very disappointed. The only bright spot was the peach crostata - delish. Doubt if we will give this place a second chance. Too many other great restaurants!"
