  • "Always have visited Lindey's when in Columbus and always rated our experience as excellent but not this time. Meal was delivered very quickly...both entrees were more rare than we ordered...got seated at a table by the bar area. Very noisy room...would have preferred the other quieter room but since there were only two of us were seated at a table for two near the bar. Will probably not go back to Lindey's for a while. Tables for two should be set up in a more quiet atmosphere."

  • "This was my first time at this restaurant. I thought the specialty drinks were very good. We were seated close to the bar mainly the first room and it was quite noisy. There was a different dining area through a doorway and I have heard they have an excellent patio during the warmer months. The staff was very good. The food was really good. The appertizer of duck tacos was very good. We will return again."

  • "For 25 years, when my wife and I come to Columbus, we book a table at Lindys. We know that the menu will be creative, the food delicious and the service friendly, knowledgable and efficient. Brunch is a treat as are dinners in Lindys' 2' comfortable but elegant dining rooms and bar. A well-chosen and reasonably-priced wine and cocktail list and excellent Mixologists compliments the surroundings, service and menu. The always reliable Lindys is top drawer in every respect."

  • "This is an excellent restaurant for any time, but brunch is a treat with omelets, unique pancakes (gingerbread for example) and great Eggs Benedict or Eggs Lindey's which is made with steak. Also excellent pastas. Their bread basket flatbreads are fabulous. Service quite good but not exceptional this time. Food is the reason to go to this restaurant."

  • "Your restaurant is unique and I have eaten there many times. However your waiters need training in Europe. They are almost too friendly and you feel as though they at trying to rush you as a result. I had the carré d'agneau (lamb) it was not as good as it has been and the potatoes were mealy and warm, not hot. The food and the menu need to be upgraded for that price. Frankly I was dissapointed. Too many young urbanites who have no clue about fine dinning. You are riding on your location in the village. Be careful, those of us with refined taste expect more. It's the food and the menu that count and a genuine experience. I love the decor, the bar and all the art work. It does remind me of a bistro in Paris but your chef, well I don't know!"

  • "All four of our dinners were fantastic. We all had a seafood dish due to Lent. The seadoods (especially the grouper), pasta and rissoto were cooked perectly and the sauces delicious. Also, the French press coffe was some of the best coffee I can recall."

  • "Dependably good food, reasonable sound level (if you go in the back), excellent wait staff."

  • "We went for our 5th anniversary. Great seating at a table for 2 with a window view. Waiter was excellent making helpful ordering suggestions since it was our first time. The calimari is very tender because of the unique way in which it is sliced. Good portions. We took some home for the next evening at home. My only disappointment was that our anniversary was not acknowledged in any way. A complimentary desert may have been nice."

  • "Even with a reservation that I reconfirmed the day of we waited over 30 minutes for a table. For as long as this restaurant has been in business they should have it together by now. Service and Food were very good."

  • "This is one of my favorite places to dine, both professionally and personally."

  • "Wait staff was not trained/experienced for a restaurant of this level. Salads were pre-made well in advance. The bowls came out with condensation and finger prints all over them. The entres came out at two separate times instead of together (there were only two of us). My husband asked for his filet to be medium-well. It came out CHARRED and well-well, i.e., they killed it a second time! Each time any food came out, we had to ask for silverware. They didn't bring steak knives and they didn't bring spoons with dessert. We had to wait each time to get someone's attention to bring us silverware. Unfortunately, Lindey's is not what it used to be. It's very overpriced, the menu and the decor are very outdated. Very disappointing for the price!!"

  • "My family and I wanted a more upscale dinner prior to seeing a play. This fit the bill perfectly! The food was amazing, we were served in the perfect amount of time and they called a cab for us immediately afterward. The perfect dining experience. The restaurant itself is so comfortable and beautiful!"

  • "Lindy's has been around for over 30 years so they do some things right for sure. The German Village setting is quaint and inviting and the ambience inside is classic bistro. It can get a bit loud in the main dining/bar area. We go to Lindy's once or twice a year and the menu is consistent - you know what you are getting. In general the food, while not groundbreaking cuisine, tends to be very good. On this visit, however, it was the execution that was a bit off and the service was quite disappointing. Both anomalies to our past experiences with Lindy's, but unfortunate nonetheless. (The ratings in this review reflect this most recent visit.) Overall, we will always go back to Lindy's and will chalk this particular meal up an off night."

  • "Lindey's experience was fantastic! Had the Steak Oscar, with Key Lime Pie! The steak was surpurb! The Key Lime Pie was to die for. Been all over the world, never had Key Lime pie as good as this......"

  • "The best restaurant in Columbus. The food, while not overly "trendy", is always noticeably fresh, perfectly prepared, carefully presented, and delicious. Service is a terrific blend of courtesy and friendliness, without being obtrusive. And the location and ambiance could not be better. Ideal for our anniversary dinner, down to the tapered candle they added to our table to help us celebrate. There are a lot of wonderful restaurants in Columbus, but Lindey's, as always, shines the brightest."

  • "When we entered the restaurant we found the ambiance and setting to be very calming and warm. Everyone smiles. The restaurant is ample seating but we never felt we were in a big overpowering place. It is made up of pleasant dining rooms which were comfortable and private at the same time. Our waiter was very attentive, and answered all of our questions. He made sure we were well taken care of. We loved the Bloody Marys and the delicious coffee. The Brunch offerings were unique and delicious as well as moderately priced and ample size. Very nice experience. Will definitely return."

  • "We completed my birthday weekend with an upscale brunch, enjoying both the dining experience and the company very much. The service was very attentive by all who participated and the food was quite good, both in taste and presentation. I literally tried all the different entrees at the table, all being quite different yet all good! The best was the Beniets for my birthday desert...I may not be spelling it correctly but ....they were the best that I have had since we were down in New Orleans! I will be back for more very soon!"

  • "The meal at Lindeys was excellent as well as the service. The only thing that I would have preferred would be to sit in another room away from the noisy bar area. It would have made it much easier to carry on a conversation with my dinner partner."

  • "We moved to Columbus approx. 3 weeks ago and I was looking for a great restaurant in our new city for a special occasion. Lindy's exceeded both of our expectations. We were able to take advantage of the terrific happy hour prices on wine and then were seated for dinner. Michael procliaimed the lamb chops to be excellent and I had a very good seafood pasta dish. The waiter was excellent, as were the desserts and after dinner drinks. Definetely planning to go back to Lindy's soon. Would absolutely recommend and am planning to take our visiting family members there. Also want to mention that the FREE valet service is a huge plus!!"

  • "I have been to Lindey's many times over the years beginning in the 80's and every couple of years since when I am able to return to Toledo. This time was one of the best experiences with its quaint charm and updated menu. The food was wonderful and the service was great. Excellent wine list that was reasonable."

  • "My boyfriend and I went to Lindey's for the first time and needless to say, we were not disappointed. He leaves for boot camp in a week and we wanted a nice restaurant to go to before he left and this was the perfect place. The wait staff was amazing and we ended up coming back the next night with a group if friends."

  • "The food was exceptional. The service wonderful. It was extremely difficult to hold a conversation because of where we were seated. It was noisy and the tables are very close together. Overall still a wonderful dining experience."

  • "We had a very nice Sunday morning brunch. Lindy's has the old world charm, I always feel like I am in a New York restaurant. The wait staff is so professional in theri starched shirts and the restaurant does those little elegant touches that make dining there so special."

  • "attention in service excellent ~ timing on service spot on ~ quality & presentation of offerings high ~ table as requested perfect for celebration ~ soups both French onion & lobster bisque superb ~ beignets warm & sauces divine ~ crab melt wonderful & bread pudding with sauces wonderful ~ best brunch ~ will return to try other options ~ only suggestion would be to update seasonal items on menu aka lobster roll.versus crab melt & apple versus Bing cherry bread pudding ~ if you like quiet though since back room would be noise level higher ~ ask for middle room or go very early ~ popular spot so make reservations ~ ambiance is best & see German village neighborhood to enjoy fully ~"
