A word from Lincoln Ristorante
At Lincoln Ristorante, we offer our interpretation of modern Italian cuisine in New York at Lincoln Center. Our philosophy is simple: to source the best local ingredients and prepare them with authentic Italian methods and spirit. While our location beside Lincoln Center’s reflecting pool is exquisite, with panoramic views and a grass lawn roof, the heart of our restaurant is the central open kitchen.

The menu offers our take on traditional preparations ranging from spaghetti al pomodoro to vitello tonnato and simply grilled branzino. Antipasti coax rustic ingredients into dishes with deep, savory flavors. Desserts are beautiful renditions of Italy’s classics: light, lush and irresistible.

While reservations are recommended to ensure a table, walk-ins are welcome at our bar where the full menu is served. We are open seven days a week offering lunch, pre-theater, dinner and weekend brunch.

Diner Reviews
  • "The food was good, and the restaurant had amazing ambience, especially since it was at night. The staff were very accommodating to our tight schedule as well. Overall, the experience was very good and we will definitely be going back."

  • " Very good neighborhood restaurant. Convenient to our apartment. Very attractive room with good food."

  • "From the approach of the wait staff to the menu itself, subtle and confident describes this wonderful restaurant. Refined but not arrogant, the Lincoln is simply a wonderful and classy location with great ambience set among some of the world’s best venues for the performing arts. Little surprises during dinner such as a complimentary starter and a "sweet parting gift" at the end of the meal add to the allure. Highly recommend this location."

  • "The food was very much hit or miss, some dishes were very good while others were not nearly as successful. Fruit on plates was shockingly unripe! The desserts were entertaining but not in a positive way. Expected a fine dining restaurant with fine dining service, but service was more on par with a casual restaurant. Very much lacking."

  • "Love this place. Artisanal cocktails unique and refreshing. 4 course $75 prix fixe, allowing full menu choices, feels like a steal. Freshest buffalo mozzarella, juiciest heirloom tomatoes, mint salsa were a divine appetizer. Pasta (and they have gluten free!) with sausage, smoked caciocavallo, and other treasures, was to-die-for. Fish entrée with seafood in broth, simple but still very good. Their take on "tartufo" is the piece de resistance. It should NEVER come off the menu! I can't adequately describe it. Chocolate hazelnut heaven, custard and cream under hot fudge poured at table with sliced sauced cherries on the side sounds so ineffective as description. I would almost kill for an order of it right now."

  • "The service is good, but for a work meeting we were interrupted often and she would not wait for a pause in the discussion. They tried to take away our wine and our food before we were finished. But the food was good as always."

  • "Lincoln is a must do restaurant on the plaza level of Lincoln Center to the sides of Avery Fisher Hall and the Metropolitan Opera. The inside rooms are handsome and spacious. Service is always gracious, thoughtful and efficient. Food is very good to excellent. In summer there also is outdoor dining overlooking the Henry Moore sculpture in the Milstein pool. There are no cars, hordes of people, cranky children in strollers. We enjoyed a relaxing Saturday lunch and plan to return at least twice more this season. The salumi, Mercado salad, striped bass and pasta with mushroom and pork ragu were memorable. We opted for dessert and devoured the white espresso and chocolate gelati and the fig sorbet. Summer weekends in NYC can be glorious."

  • "Excellent food and presentation in one of the most beautiful settings for eating in New York City."

  • "We were very rushed. They accepted our reservation time and then said they were in a hurry to close the kitchen"

  • "A wonderful dining experience. The food was delicious--cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding. Various staff members were friendly, helpful, efficient. They anticipated anything we might request and provided it without asking. They truly wanted this to be a special experience--and it was."

  • "The service was excellent. I'm a Celiac and they were very helpful in working around my gluten free requirements. The food was delicious."

  • "Excellent restaurant week lunch, usual high standards of food and service. I have been many times to Lincoln and have never been disappointed. Great for lunch, dinner and pre theatre. Great value and professional service."

  • "We went for lunch during NYC Restaurant Week. We found a varied menu, good food, ok service and a wonderful view of Lincoln Center Plaza. You can't beat the location for convenience to any program at Lincoln Center. Our overall impression, however, was that it would be a poor value at full price."

  • "We have eaten dinner a the Lincoln restaurant several times and always enjoyed it. However, my experience at lunch during restaurant week was disappointing to say the least. The first course of salumi was excessively fatty. My fish soup was fishy! And the creamy berry cake was dry. The service was lovely as was out outdoor table, and, except for a very noisy group sitting near us the sound level was comfortable."

  • "I've come here for restaurant week a few times and the food is always fantastic! You can't go wrong. The space is really pretty and relaxing and fancy without being too fancy. The service has always been amazing! Can't wait to go again."

  • "Walk into Lincoln and you feel comfortable, almost at home - you are greeted warmly by host and hostess at the door. You are led to a great table - I don't know of a bad one in the restaurant. Our view was of the pool in the plaza with the Henry Moore in the center. Stunning. Avery Fisher Hall to one side and The Met across the pool. This is why I love New York. Add Lincoln to that list of whys. Service is impeccable - but again, no attitude, no rush. The food - outstanding. We did a three course menu selection. My tuna was beautifully done. The lobster and shrimp ravioli were delicious. The Burrata and Heirloom Tomato Salad was served on a pesto base. The wine list is superb. The wines by the glass are well chosen."

  • "The orecchiette was awful. Everything else was good and service was 5 star. But I ordered pasta at a nice Italian restaurant and it was terrible."

  • "Great ambiance and great food.. however I felt like something important is missing.. All staff did a professional job but no welcoming environment. Over all, it was cold experience.."

  • "We went for lunch during restaurant week. Everything was outstanding and we will now make this a restaurant to frequent, especially if attending a performance at Lincoln Center. However, for us, it is also in our neighborhood and will be a destination in itself."

  • "Had a wonderful lunch after the Philharmonic We enjoyed sitting outside on a wonderful Friday afternoon had a spectacular salad And wonderful pasta. Pasta's here are original and very tasty"

  • "We had read good things about this place and Jonathan Benno, but were disappointed when we came for the Restaurant Week lunch. The fresh breads of sesame and focaccia were the best of the lunch. Appetizers: the burrata was good, but the salumi selections were not good - one variety tasted like luncheon meat. Entrees: the rigatoni was good, the flounder itself was good - but the seafood broth was too fishy, the lamb shoulder was gamey. Dessert: overall disappointed and not impressed (the crème fraiche cake was better than the almond cake). Overall feel of the restaurant and the service was great. If I had to base the experience on the restaurant week food they served, I would not come back."

  • "Really was surprised to find such a great meal in that area."
    Dined on 8/6/2014
  • "I went to lunch here with two other people this week and overall we all thought the restaurant was wonderful. Our waiter was quite knowledgeable about the menu and helped us narrow down our choices. The food was delicious. My only criticism was that the "bread man" came to the table and offered a small piece of bread ( which was delicious ), but he never returned to ask if we wanted more. Our waiter never came back to ask how our main course was---he was not to be found--so we couldn't even ask him about the bread. This might seem like a small thing, but it really would have made the lunch more enjoyable. I would go back and try it again."

  • "this was among the best restaurants I have ever been to in my many travels as a travel agent... felt at ease but loved beautiful décor and view of the vibrant plaza. food had inspiration and full flavors, perfect service from beginning to end... will look forward to returning...."

  • "Entree (lamb shoulder) is very bland. Desserts are nothing special. Expected much more from this restaurant."

  • "We visited Lincoln on the recommendation of a friend and it fell short of his recommendations. It was our first time to the restaurant and we expected a little aid or recommendation from the waiter, he was unhelpful and held an air that we were unimportant. It felt as if they were busy enough so they did not need our business and he was not concerned with our enjoyment of the restaurant. The food was excellent but we've had better. We were hoping for an excellent meal matched with excellent service and the restaurant falls short of that."

  • "Dined on a quiet Sunday night. We were seated in a different area, not part of the main dining room but its was airy and pleasant. The food was top notch and the service attentive but not fussy. There was undue noise from the open kitchen but the good food and the ambience of Lincoln Center on a Sunday evening in the summer made it a great choice."

  • "i was taken to the lincoln for brunch, for my birthday. it was also lincoln center's free concerts, so our experience was graced by live music. the setting outside, overlooking the henry moore sculpture was breathtaking. the apulian specialties were delicious and the prosecco which graced the meal...remarkable. tho' a bit dear, we will be back."

  • "Servers were out to lunch. Requested ice on the side with our cocktails, was not served. Requested no salt on all dishes. Salad was heavily salted and inedible. Food was quite disappointing. Far better quality at this price level in Manhattan."

  • "everything was wonderful and I would happily have lunch or dinner there again. All the wait staff was lovely, attentive, discreet. I asked about spicing in one of the dishes and the waiter (didn't ask his name) was happy to ask the chef in order to give me the information. I have eaten at Boulud Sud before and am never disappointed in any course of the meal. Had a wonderful Rose as well!!"

  • "I was excited for my first brunch at Lincoln due to the great dinner experience I had there. I was not disappointed. The service was courteous and prompt. The food was a collection of various fine tastes. They also give everyone an amuse bouche which is a little extra that always delights me."

  • "There seem to really work hard on the menu but it can be too much going on that plate. The menu description doesn't always translate to the dish."

  • "We went for Restaurant Week lunch. It had a better selection than most restaurants. We have eaten here before and the level of food and service is terrific. Each course excelled. One of our party was gluten intolerant which our wait person picked up on when he refused bread. She took charge and made sure the whole meal was taken care of with no fuss at all. Expert service. Would return to Lincoln and look forward to it."

  • "Went for restaurant week. ..good opportunity to visit Lincoln which normally is expensive and very popular. Restaurant week menu is very limited, only 2 appetizer options and 3 entree choices. Food was very good and the staff could not have been more gracious which of course added to the experience."
