A word from Lincoln Ristorante
At Lincoln Ristorante, we offer our interpretation of modern Italian cuisine in New York at Lincoln Center. Our philosophy is simple: to source the best local ingredients and prepare them with authentic Italian methods and spirit. While our location beside Lincoln Center’s reflecting pool is exquisite, with panoramic views and a grass lawn roof, the heart of our restaurant is the central open kitchen.

The menu offers our take on traditional preparations ranging from spaghetti al pomodoro to vitello tonnato and simply grilled branzino. Antipasti coax rustic ingredients into dishes with deep, savory flavors. Desserts are beautiful renditions of Italy’s classics: light, lush and irresistible.

While reservations are recommended to ensure a table, walk-ins are welcome at our bar where the full menu is served. We are open seven days a week offering lunch, pre-theater, dinner and weekend brunch.

I went with my mother prior to seeing a show this past weekend. Our reservation was at 5, they greeted us promptly and gave us a wonderful table, a booth which I was surprised since it was just the two of us. The host asked us what time show we were going to which then was passed onto others...Everyone was concerned with the timing of our meal, drinks and so on so we wouldn't be rushed. I thought this was an added touch! I loved how attentive the staff was to go over the menu items with us and assure us of any concerns. The food was beyond phenomenal! From the antipasti to the dessert, perfect! It was satisfying but not too filling and just perfect!

We have eaten at Lincoln a few times but this is the first time we had lunch there. It was just as good for lunch as for dinner. It is truffle season and the pasta dish was delicious.

Lincoln Ristorante has evidently dumbed down its food in order to hit a reduced price point, to fill its very large dining room and serve a Lincoln Center attending crowd. The dining room is cool and uninviting. The service is friendly, not pretentious, but intermittent and not attentive. Cooking seems to lack rigor. Vitello Tonnato way oversalted, Spiedino di Mare had a heavy dose of pepper and chili, and did not feel Italian at all. Other dishes as well were spicy in a non-Italian way. Lamb and venison were not particularly well prepared, and the venison really lacked its characteristic flavor. The food was overall OK, but lacked flare and character. I wonder how closely Jonathan Benno remains in daily control of the kitchen? The deserts were a further step down, not good at all.

This was my third time at the restaurant, the first two were for lunch. The food and service are good but the quality and level of professionalism don't justify the high prices. I had reserved a few weeks ahead and was asked if it was a special occasion. It was - our anniversary and I told this to the reservationist. We were seated promptly at a table not far from the door and then sat about 5 minutes before anyone came over. We were asked if we wanted a drink and when we told them no, we'd be ordering wine with dinner, we were handed a wine list but no menus. Those came about 5-10 minutes later. We each ended up ordering the four-course price fixe with the wine pairing so we could get a sampling of as many dishes as possible. Overall, it was a disappointment. All but one of the dishes was good but no dish was a "wow." The sturgeon main course was bland and tough and I left half of it over. The desserts were a highlight, which is ironic since neither of us usually order dessert. Essentially, it's priced as fine dining but what you get is upscale casual for the price of fine dining. Location, location, location. P.S. Never a mention of our anniversary.

I have eaten here several times and it just never really rises to my expectation. Food is good but not great. Service is not really attentive. Arrived at 5:30 and told waiter that we had a 7:30 opera. We had to eat out desserts in a hurry and were not out of the restaurant until 7:20. I eat at Boulud Sud regularly and they get you our of there by 7:00 every time and the quality of food and service is consistent and several levels better than Lincoln. Will be in no hurry to return.

Perhaps I had not consulted our server before ordering the spaghetti alla chitarra, but I had high expectations from a pricey restaurant with rave reviews. I have never had spaghetti so thick. It was like udon or lo mein! (That isn't even my main complaint as udon and lo mein are very tasty,) It was described to be tossed in uni butter and clams, but all in all, the dish was dry, chewy (like a jaw workout with all those clams and uber thick al dente noodles), and lacked much flavor (what uni?!). I also tasted the lamb agnolotti -- less than spectacular. And the monkfish -- tough. To be fair, the eggplant parmigiana was well prepared and a fellow diner really enjoyed the pork ragu pasta. I did not get to try desserts. I liked their focaccia. Noted my guests arrived late, and we were in a hurry to catch the opera, I was extremely grateful for the superior and professional service that did not feel rushed or at all haughty, as can be the case at similar places catering to an older (richer) crowd.

This restaurant is very beautiful inside and has gorgeous views of Lincoln Center. The staff seems very engaged with being professional and knowledgeable and pleasant. Unfortunately, after several visits, the actual results are somewhat disappointing. This is especially true of the food, which always sounds wonderful and proves to be much less.

I must admit Lincoln has a special holiday feel. Once you're inside - you are wrapped inside a protective cocoon. The vibe of the place brings peace during the entire experience. They are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The recommendations from cocktails, wine and food were spot on. The view from the dining level is special as you lookout onto Lincoln Center. It must be super special during the holiday season. Thank you very much to Karen N, our gracious server/host who is an incredible representative for Lincoln.

My husband and I like coming here. The crowd is not young but the food and service is very good. We ate here this past weekend in the back of the restaurant and I found it to be poorly ventilated. I hate eating at a restaurant where I can smell the cooking. When that happens, my clothes smell. I was disappointed it was like that here. They have an open kitchen and when you are near the front door, you don't smell anything. But in the back, the smell of cooked meat (I am vegetarian) was stinky.

Lincoln provides an exciting experience from menu to venue. The selection of dishes for every course is innovative with traditional and creative pairings of ingredients and flavors. the marinated sea trout with caviar is fresh, clean and light. the combination of flavors and textures is excellent (though the grapes are unusual). Pastas are interesting takes on traditional dishes, all well-executed. fish dishes are creative and perfectly prepared. It is nice to have such a good meal for pre-performance but worth the visit for any reason.

Perhaps we were expecting too much but a recent dinner at Lincoln fell flat. The food was competent but no dish produced the Wow reaction that I expect at this level. Also found the room cold and odd instead of beautiful or exciting. Waiters were terrific and informed but the folks at the door tried too hard to be chummy and rang false. Next time we go to Lincoln Center we will return to Boulud Sud.

this restaurant has the perfect setting, the most amazing perfect kitchen, and a big staff, all trying hard...However the food is relatively mediocre,-too oily. And the servers constantly interrupt, but constantly... ton describe where the butter was made. The hours of the restaurant have no connection to all the Lincoln Center,Film Center, and Juilliard auditoriums around it....we have tried it 4 times, valiantly hoping it will have improved. But I am afraid it is just for tourists, who won't complain, but who won't come back!

We had dinner this past Sunday night and Justin Marquez always makes our dining experience there a memorable one. It doesn't matter if it's a Tuesday night , a busy Saturday night before a show or an early Sunday evening. He manages to bring that extra special touch to our evening and it makes going to Lincoln feel like we are going to a friend's home for dinner. The food and the service were also excellent, the effort they display from our waiter to our servers makes our dining experience unique and it does not go unnoticed. We recommend Lincoln to everyone and look forward to every meal there.

The venue is wonderful, the food delicious, the service??? Perhaps Lincoln is one of those restaurants where servers are not assigned specific tables. It certainly seemed that way. After being seated for 10-15 minutes we finally stopped one of the hosts and asked if we could order a drink. Over the course of the evening, we had many servers but for the life of me - I have no idea if a server was actually assigned to our table.

Service is definitely top notch, you have a couple of waiters servicing you and really making sure you are having a wonderful time. Food: The guitar spaghetti with clams and the braised lamb ravioli is the thing to try ...I'm salivating just thinking about it. The side roasted mixed mushrooms were probably my favorite dish. How can they infuse so much garlic and butter flavor into a mushroom?! The grilled and braised rib of beef was okay. The sauce was too heavy and I didn't really like the celery root biscuit. I really enjoyed my time.

Lincoln Restaurant is an elegant, expensive restaurant. Food, service and ambiance are top notch. HOWEVER, it is too expensive for its location. I would think that a restaurant in a cultural center which attracts New Yorkers and visitors would be less expensive and thus within the means of most attendees and tourists who come to Lincoln Center just to see it and not necessarily attend a performance.

Lincoln is surrounded by the Lincoln Center beauty. We went for my wife's birthday. The menu is Italian cuisine inspired, with an influence of Piedmont cuisine. Service is outstanding but unobstrusive. We had ravioli as the "primo piato" and manzo and vitello as "secondo" Everything was OK but the revioli were perfect. We had a glass of italian red glass. They have a very interesting desserts menu and a wide seleccion of "grappa" Lincoln is worth a visit.

I have eaten here several times and been impressed with the quality of the food . However, ate here Saturday and our dinner was definitely not as tasty or delicious as the high prices demand. Generic pasta - the white truffle and veal pasta dish, the veal completely overpowered the delicate flavor if the white truffle. My husbands pork was so fatty as to be in edible. Wine was fantastic and well chosen by the sommelier.
