A word from Lincoln Ristorante
At Lincoln Ristorante, we offer our interpretation of modern Italian cuisine in New York at Lincoln Center. Our philosophy is simple: to source the best local ingredients and prepare them with authentic Italian methods and spirit. While our location beside Lincoln Center’s reflecting pool is exquisite, with panoramic views and a grass lawn roof, the heart of our restaurant is the central open kitchen.

The menu offers our take on traditional preparations ranging from spaghetti al pomodoro to vitello tonnato and simply grilled branzino. Antipasti coax rustic ingredients into dishes with deep, savory flavors. Desserts are beautiful renditions of Italy’s classics: light, lush and irresistible.

While reservations are recommended to ensure a table, walk-ins are welcome at our bar where the full menu is served. We are open seven days a week offering lunch, pre-theater, dinner and weekend brunch.

Diner Reviews
  • "Finally tried Lincoln and found it great. Informed attentive service, original delicious light food, great space with beautiful night views out over Lincoln Center, somewhat dull crowd (but at the prices I guess that might be expected). Will definitely go again."

  • "Absolutely one of our very favorite restaurants in the city. The ambience, the food and the service are truly outstanding. It is the BEST of the Lincoln Center area restaurants BY A MILE."

  • "I had the mozzarella with tomoato and hyacinth. The waiter really needs to warn you that the sauce on the hyacinth is HOT! The outdoor seating is amazing though. It's a quiet respite, off the street, and well shaded for hot summer days."

  • "All the food service at Lincoln Center has improved dramatically in recent years and this is the flagship. A good wine list if a bit pricey."

  • "Still love it. The food is extraordinary, the wine list fantastic and the service is impeccable! Will go back again and again. The wine we had was so fantastic."

  • "Great food and wonderful staff. Can't wait to return!"

  • "My son (23 years old) and I had a wonderful time at the Lincoln. It was uncluttered, modern and relaxing. The tables were quite close, but they were set so that it never felt crowded. It was a summer evening, so I watched the children playing in the water pools at Lincoln Center, while my son watched the open kitchen. I loved the assorted mushrooms, and his favorite was the lobster pasta. We loved both the cheesecake and the sorbet for dessert. The service was wonderful. The location could not have been more perfect as we were headed to the ballet."

  • "Good place to eat if you're attending an event at Lincoln Center. Beautiful modern architecture and interior design. Food is excellent and pricey (to be expected given its location)."
    Dined on 7/6/2014
  • "Highly recommend, everything we had was delicious."

  • "I am so grateful to have Lincoln at Lincoln Center. It is beautiful, the staff is perfect, the food is delicious, and you can dine until 7 minutes before the curtain time."

  • "Great prix fixe menu, wonderful selections. Attentive and congenial service. Definitely not just for dinner before a Lincoln Center event."

  • "Wonderful atmosphere, but food was terrible. Too salty and chicken was not cooked well. Waiter didn't ask for us if we wanted another bottle of water...we didn't want the second bottle at all, but he opened without asking. They charged 2 bottles of water. Coffee didn't taste good! At least We wanted to drink a good cup of coffee. This restaurant bring my tensions down. Love the architect who design the restaurant. Please change the chef!"

  • "This is a perfect venue for dining before a performance at Lincoln Centre. Can't think of a single thing to complain about. Everything was perfect, especially the service, which is very attentive without being obtrusive. My waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and had some very good recommendations. All in all, a very memorable dining experience."

  • "I took a friend out for lunch before a play at Lincoln center. The restaurant is beautiful. Specially the tables overlooking the moore sculpture. The service is great amd so is the ambience. I found the portion size too small and the price too high."

  • "It's a great choice if you like white truffles. Their truffle pasta is second to none. The other dishes a good, but nothing compared to the truffle pasta. Have been there 4 times, and definitely worth to come during truffle season. It's also a good choice after the opera or theater, due to the location on Lincoln Center."

  • "Not at all an inexpensive meal, but the food was excellent, the service attentive, and the atmosphere comfortable. I'm not going to eat here regularly but I certainly would go back."

  • "My favorite NYC restaurant. Every meal I've had here has been excellent. The wait staff is unusually welcoming, making me very comfortable, unlike so many other places in the city. My waiter Joe went so far as to make note of operas that I might enjoy when he found out I was interested. The spaghetti with clams was so great that I'm going back this week to have it again! I highly recommend The Lincoln to anyone who loves inventive, well prepared food and who appreciates outstanding service."

  • "Pleasant, friendly, good food. Jennifer our waitress was excellent and the other wait staff was attentive and pleasant. I had the salad & chicken and found it excellent. My sister also had the same. We were not rushed and had told our waitress Jennifer that we were attending the ballet at 2.00 P.M. We had a leisurely lunch and made the ballet on time. I did not realize that I had left my reading glasses on the table and fortunately for me the Lincoln had my cell phone # and called & left me a message."

  • "The service and atmosphere was wonderful. However, the food was horrible. Cocktail was fine. We will not be coming back. Totally disappointed."

  • "This was not our first time at Lincoln Ristorante. We have been here several times with and without friends for dinner and drinks. It is truly a special place. We went again to celebrate a special anniversary. As always, the service was impeccable, the food outstanding and the ambience quite romantic. While my wife ordered an appetizer and a Primi, I indulged in the prix fix 4 course tasting (which included a dessert we both shared). Every dish was presented beautifully and tasted sublime. If you have a special occasion or are just in the mood to have a lovely and relaxing evening of food and drink, this is the place to go!"

  • "Was leery of Lincoln Restaurant as I was afraid it was just going to coast on its Lincoln Center location. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the food was quite good -- innovative Italian -- and the wine list was interesting to boot (love the Prosecco bar). But the stars of the evening were the wait staff. They honestly could not have been nicer, were knowledgeable enough to answer all our questions and make recommendations and were just generally welcoming. I'd definitely go again."

  • "Tables are set apart so that one is not listening to his/her neighbors' conversations. Service was nicely timed as we requested."

  • "We returned to Lincoln and expected exciting food. Four ladies availed of the set brunch. The primi selection was great. The pasta with lobster was hearty and tasty. The secondi sea bass entree was bland but presented artfully. We ordered the chocolate dessert to share. It was to die for. Excellent service. Little candy bites at the end were a real treat as we were off to watch the ballet. It is the most convenient place to dine before attending a show at Lincoln Center."

  • "We had Sunday Brunch prior to seeing a show at Lincoln Center Theatre. We found that the servers were friendly, respectful, knowledgeable and available. The Prosecco cocktails were elegant and delicious. The two course brunch was amazing all around. Between the two of us we had four plates that were faultless. The wine suggestion was perfect as well. Homemade candies with coffee ended the meal delightfully."

  • "Our group of 6 dined at Lincoln on Sunday for lunch to celebrate two birthdays. Everything about our dining experience was outstanding, the food, the wine, the service and the atmosphere . Each and everyone at the table felt the same way. Many of us had the two pasta sampler all outstanding and delicious. We were seated in a lovely round table with a view of the reflecting pool in the Lincoln Center Plaza. Our waitress was friendly and professional, with staff even offering to go outside and take a picture of our group in front of the sculpture. I highly recommend Lincoln when dining in the Lincoln Center area. We can hardly wait to return."

  • "Lincoln Ristorante is a great place for a Saturday or Sunday brunch, particularly in the summer time when you can sit outdoors. The menu is a delight. The service is impeccable. While the price makes this a rare treat, the experience is unrushed and completely worth it."
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "Lincoln boasts impeccable food, a trendy-yet-understated atmosphere, and outstanding service. There's nothing quite like fine dining in Lincoln Center, with the spectacular views of the Metropolitan Opera House over the Milstein Pool. The food is amongst the best Italian you can find in the city, which warrants a first trip...and a second...and a third...and so on."

  • "Excellent food and great service in a unique and attractive setting."

  • "Its major virtue is proximity to Lincoln Center. The menu is limited and everything about the restaurant screams pretension."
    Dined on 6/27/2014
  • " The food pricey and stingy with wine servings for the price. However, the view of Lincoln is beautiful and worth it"

  • "Lincoln has become one of my favorite restaurants when in the vicinity of Lincoln Center. Food, service and décor is always top-notch, and we love the homemade candies!"

  • "This was our first visit to Lincoln Ristorante and I didn't feel it lived up to its reputation. We sat outside and had a view of the plaza and pool which was very nice. Service was very slow. We got our water quickly but didn't get bread for an hour and it took a long time for our order to be taken. We ordered a salad that a few people expected to share. There was a decent chunk of mozzarella with a few cut grape tomatoes and a couple of leaves. Not even enough for one person. Eggplant dish was very good and plentiful but tuna was disappointing."
    Dined on 6/20/2014
  • "We had a curtain at 8 pm, were at the restaurant at 6 pm, advised the wait staff of our need to leave in time to make the curtain and yet again, were kept waiting for an inordinate time for our main course--cancelled dessert, etc. We did get out on time, with many apologies from the waiter. But this is the second time it has happened and it is not pleasant."

  • "Just finally ate at Lincoln -- which opened last year and got so-so reviews -- I disagree! Sooooo convenient to eat right next to anything at Lincoln Center! Price fix is 3 courses for $60 --- Service was excellent; it's a quiet place ---- you can even eat outside overlooking Henry Moore. While everything was excellent, I think they really shine with their pastas --- had a Lobster pasta dish to die for! Only disappointment were desserts --- maybe they have a new chef for that --- not so good. Wine list is ALL Italian --- we like whites, so opted for a prosecco. For any special performance at L.C., go to Lincoln and have a wonderful and convenient evening!!!"

  • "Lincoln has to be one of the best dining experiences in New York...and probably the most beautiful dining room! Once again our diner was amazing. David and Devon took such wonderful care of us, especially considering we arrived at nearly 11pm because the theater got out late. They and the entire staff at Lincoln were gracious and welcoming. The soft shell crab was fantastic. The pasta with lobster/scallop sausage was more than fantastic. The side of roasted carrots and ricotta was beyond description. Another special evening at this special restaurant."
    Dined on 6/20/2014
  • "I would recommend Lincoln to anyone able to afford it. The ambience is sparkling clean and modern with additional fabric covered booths which are especially quiet. My only suggestion is that the chef might consider using less pepper. That said the food is a treat so go and enjoy."
    Dined on 6/19/2014
  • "It was fine dining fire sure. Soft shell crab were good, burrata was moist and fresh. Whole branzino was good. Presentation and service is superb. Would definitely recommend to visiting friends. Not a place if you want a happening, vibrant place. But, more of a romanyic and cosy upscale treasure."
    Dined on 6/19/2014
  • "The four of us were having a lovely experience. The Burata was exceptional as were the four entrees we had. The service was good until the last 30 minutes when we waited for a decaf latte and three chocolate cakes for 25 minutes. We asked four times for them explaining we were going to the ballet at 2. We came in at 12 noon which was more than enough time. The latte came as we were getting up from the table after the check was paid. A nice experience damaged."
