A word from Limon
The vision for Limón, Denver’s eclectic Latin American bistro, began during Chef Alex Gurevich's trips to the Latin American region. Continually in awe of and impressed by the richness of the culture and cuisine, he envisioned a place in Denver where people could gather to experience the warmth and liveliness of Latin America. Limón's space was built with this concept in mind. It is rustic and inviting, comfortable and chic. Burgundy walls, exposed brick, wide plank wood floors and antique casks set an undeniably warm tone. The restaurant and patio offer distinctly different settings where guests can enjoy the food, the ambience and the energy that represent the Latin American lifestyle.

Limón is located in the revitalized uptown district of Denver and serves inspired Latin American cuisine that blends various styles of preparation but uses fresh, authentic ingredients.

  • "I had always wanted to do Limon. I did not realize it was a small plates restaurant where you can sample and share many dishes with friends. In spite of the slow service and forgetfulness of the wait staff (we kept had to remind her of a order or two), the food was so tasteful and artfully presented. Atmosphere was quiet and very conducive to conversation, Of course it was a Sunday night and there were not many patrons at the time we were there...so it was a treat for us to just talk over the 3 hours we were there. I would definitely return."

  • "The raspberry jalapeño creme brule topped off an evening of wonderful surprises. The atmosphere is pleasant, but not overwhelming. The staff was very attentive, and seemed to enjoy describing the courses as they were delivered. We had a great time. Very relaxed with time to savor everything!"

  • "First, we had a reservation for 7 and were sat next to the door despite other large tables being open. It was snowing and we were freezing -hostess fail. We were there for Restaurant week so I try to be lenient since it’s hard on staff. However, we had to stop the server several times to get a drink – the main complaint with the promotion is low ticket totals so why wouldn't she want us to order another round? The food was not as impressive as other Latin American restaurants. Recommended items like the scallops and the wok-fried beef were barely touched; dessert is the only thing that kept us from having to eat a second dinner elsewhere. I think the food and service are lacking the extra touch to make it memorable and a return destination"

  • "A cozy place with delicious food. Small plates are from Central and South America. We loved the white fish in lime, citrus salad with mango and fennel, crab cakes w/veggies, and a spicy pumpkin soup. The black bean biscuits with butternut squash and goat cheese was another favorite. Dessert finished the meal off very well-- flan with caramel sauce. Service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Our second visit -- and it won't be our last."

  • "We used to LOVE this place, but between the menu changes over the past year, and this past visit, we may not be going back. We had to return a bean soup that was runny, and even though we made clear we wanted certain things first, they were not presented in that order. If the soup hadn't been sent back, my wife would have had to watch me eat the skirt steak dish. Servers didn't check on us much except to try to get us to buy more drinks. And, they didn't check me into Open Table, so I had to take extra steps to make sure I got my "credit." Definitely didn't have A team in the kitchen or on the floor on NY Eve."

  • "Were greeted, checked in, and seated right away. Our server, Summer, was very friendly, efficient and fast. I liked the cozy decor and the place was very vibrant. This restaurant serves small plates (tapas). Chose one Central America dish-Pork Picadillo Tamale, $10, one South American dish-Skirt Steak & Chimichurri, $14 and one Caribbean dish-Slow-Roasted Shredded Beef (Ropa Vieja), $13. All of them were quite tasty, especially the Skirt Steak & Chimichurri, which was a really good portion. We ended the meal with the Banana Tres Leches with one Americano coffee and a double expresso. It was very tasty."
