  • Catering: We have two private dining rooms. The larger room seats 50 guests comfortably, the smaller 36. The entire restaurant is available for special functions for up to 200 guests.
    We have presentation screens, power strips and laser pointers available. We offer both pass code protected wifi and hard line connections for internet presentations.
    Limestone will customize any menu to suit your needs and budget.
  • Private Party Facilities: Limestone offers two private dining rooms. Our large private dining room can accommodate 50 people for a plated dinner or up to 75 for a cocktail reception. Our small private dining room can accommodate 35 people for a plated dinner or up to 45 for a cocktail reception.

  • "My wife and I ate at Limestone. Good layout for a restaurant and nice ambiance. The server was very friendly. My wife ordered a brand new pasta dish (so new the servers had not even seen it yet). The pasta was dry and the sauce lacked flavor. I ordered the bourbon smoked ribeye. The steak was cooked to the right temperature but absolutely had no seasonin and no flavor except bourbon. When we mentioned the lack of flavor to the server nothing was done to accommodate us. I have been to Limestone before but it looks like there has been a change in the kitchen and we will not be back."

  • "Dined celebrating a weekday birthday and loved being able to take advantage of the half price bottles of wine. Teaser appetizer by the chef was a delightful and delicious surprise. Birthday boy, who is not a grits person, thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp and grits. Short rib received high marks; however, salmon dish, while good, did not have much wood-plank flavor and I would have loved to have had a few more bites of vegetables."

  • "I booked a reservation the day before. We came in 30 minutes early and was seated right away. I was a bit concerned that the parking lot was almost empty and very few people in the restaurant at 7pm; however, as our dinner progressed more and more people began to come in. We were greeted by our server, Steven, right away. We did not have cocktails or wine, but the lists for both was fantastic. The pre-dinner rolls were so delicious; soft and warm served with soft butter and whole, roasted garlic goves. We ordered fried calamari and lobster bisque to share. Both were wonderful. Perfect amount to share and do not ruin our dinner. I ordered the Cheeseburger and my husband order the ribeye. Both entrees were cooked perfect."

  • "We have eaten here a few times and while concept, quality and presentation always deliver, recently, the flavors just seemed to miss the mark. The chicken liver appetizer begged for more bacony bourbon glaze to save the mediocre livers. The seafood mixed grill had a small but beautiful variety of fresh fish, but again lacked seasoning. The fried green tomatoes just need to come off the menu until some more tender varieties come into season or else be served with enough sauce to add flavor. My favorite part of the meal was Chef Gerhardt's amuse bouche; a delicious cucumber humus which was surprisingly light and bright in flavor."

  • "Let me start by saying I LOVE LIMESTONE. But this was the worst meal and service that I have ever had there. The group of us (4) ordered the 5 course meal with wine. A guest says that she would like to have scallops for dinner, the server says no problem. ...Then the server brings her a steak that she didn't like or even eat but a few bites of. We really love Limestone, it is our favorite place.. And we have been going there for years. I think Chef JIm is one of best chef's in the area. But this was not our best trip there. I hope they can stay open, but the service is lacking right now."

  • "I was excited about trying limestone. I am a foodie. I was not impressed with our steaks and flavorless "sauce" they were swimming in. Our calamari was excellent and the bourbon and wine choice was nice. We had a higher expectation of our dinner. Not to mention they didn't let open table know we honored our reservation. They did correct that after I reported it."

  • "We were from Indianapolis visiting Louisville for the weekend. We really didn't knwo where to go but after reading reviews we decided to go to the Limestone. The food was good, but a little over priced. The service from the time we got there wasn't the greatest. The hostess seemed to be confused about us having reservations and then she seated us with no drink or dinner menus. Ben our server I think was new. He seemed not to know what was gonig on most of the evening. We would give it another chance because the food was good."

  • "For a dinner for two paying approx $150, I would pick a different place. The food was bland and not overly exciting. Someone please clean those fish tanks that are just kind of stuck randomly on the ledge. Drinks were way over priced. $12 for Elmer T. Lee is a joke. I've had better food at worse places."

  • "We made our reservation for Limestone for Valentine's Day. My wife and I made our reservation for 6:45 and arrived promptly on time. We found the restaurant to be modrately busy, but no delays in getting to our table. That is really the last positive that we had. Our service was terrible...the entire time, the waiter seemed disinterested in our table(even though he was engaged with some of the others). Numerous times we had to ask for more water, or bread. Soup was cold and he never even came over during the entree to ask how we wwre doing, if steaks were prepared correctly, etc. Dessert was inedible because overly sweet, but again made no comment our apologies for that. Hard to think we will ever go back unfortunately"

  • "Took wife and another couple to celebrate. Had a reservation for 6:30pm and the place was empty so I immediately thought "bad choice". However by the time we left the place was packed...we were earlybirds. Wait staff were outstanding even as the crowds arrived. Dress code on web site is buisiness casual but there were plenty there with jeans on. Food, acording to me and gueats, was expertly prepared and presented. We had steaks, fish with appetizers, dessert and two bottles of wine. I thought the prices were in line with the atmosphere and personal attention. Wine was reasonably priced but my water, Perrier, as 16oz bottle was way over priced at $9.00. Overall Limestone is a 9/10. Thanks."

  • "They had us in the bar and we could have chosen to move but opted to stay in the cozy corner booth instead. The bartender was our server and did a good job, but was not the same as the normal wait staff. We ordered an appetizer to share(Chicken livers) and then decided to share two entrees. The mixed seafood grill and the waiter's personal favorite ribeye. The first round mixed grill was cold, and the steak was very fatty, hard to cut without a steak knife. We sent both back. Much better the second go, but we used our bread plates to share. I expected 4 plates with extra veggies, but it was too late to complain. We had a delicious dessert to finish, but overall, the high standards we usually experience were not there this time."

  • "With the restaurant not being very crowded we thought we would have decent service. However since our party was one that was over 6 our bills had 20% gratuity built in which made us wonder if that was the cause to a slow server. We had to ask for our checks 30 minutes after our meal was complete at which he was surprised to discover it wouldn't be 1 bill. Our drinks were not put on the right checks but we ignored that in order to leave after being there almost 3 hours. We did however have exceptional service from the gentleman who refiled our water glasses and delivered silverware. He visited the table more than our waiter."

  • "I took my friend here when she finished her semester of college as a congratulatory dinner because she'd had a really difficult & long couple of months. I am from out of town & had not heard of this establishment but when I asked her where she would like to go she said she had always wanted to go here but didn't think she'd ever be able to so I made the reservation immediately, lol. We both chose the 5 course "Feed Me Chef" option with wine pairings & OMG we were both SO blown away! We also both expected to get the same dishes/wine but were extremely surprised & happy when we each got different things in all courses so we were able to sample each other's dishes as well which made the entire experience extra fun. Amazing food & service!"

  • "This was a great restaurant. We are glad we went. The choices were abundant and we had a hard time selecting something from the menu. We had the Salmon and the mixed grill, plus fried green tomatoes. For desert we had the bread pudding. didn't have much taste. Should have served it with a little more bourbon ice cream or actually, a bourbon sauce would have been better. Our waitress, Rachel, was fabulous."

  • "My wife and I have been here on a number of occasions and this is the first time we've been disappointed. I'd still recommend this restaurant, but they're going to have to step it up a little on our next visit. Food presentation was so-so. Calamari starter was good. My cut of steak had too much "other" in it. The sides looked like they were kitchen leftovers that were just tossed on my plate. The dessert cake was dry and did not match the description on the menu."

  • "I had dinner this week during my travels to Louisville. The service was great - very attentive and made good recommendations. I had the Seafood Mixed Grill which was delicious; the waitress said they were known for their scallops and I have to agree, the scallop that was included on this plate was delicious. I started with the bean and ham soup which was interesting; more of a mashed bean broth poured over a cream cheese (I think that is what it was) base. It was good - mild flavor. I ordered the bread pudding for dessert and it was ok, a little dry; it came with a very small scoop of ice cream. Bottom line, this is a great restaurant, very good food and I will definitely bring clients for business dinners in the future."

  • "We had not gone to Limestone before and was very pleasantly surprised. The food is phenomenal. I wish it was on Bardstown Rd, but other than that, we have no complaints. Our entree came while I was still eating my soup, but the waiter was very apologetic and gave us a heads up that this would happen. Bravo, Limestone chef! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and are looking forward to going back."

  • "My husband and I were celebrating our 41st wedding anniversary and wanted to go some place special--Limestone was the place for us. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere--great jazz music for dining. We both had the salmon which was fantastic. A complimentary glass of champagne was provided to celebrate our anniversary which we didn't expect. We had a little glitch in our dessert order so we had to wait on one dessert which was not a big deal as we were in no hurry to leave the restaurant. However, I was given a glass of "ice wine" due to the wait, which was also exceptional. The staff was excellent and very gracious. We definitely will choose Limestone for our next special occasion. But in the meantime, we will try lunch soon!"
