Great for people-watching as theater-goers stream past the full-length windows. Excellent crab cake, but no calimari available. The filet with the bearnaise is to-die-for good; I order mine medium so it comes out medium rare. Their highballs are excellent but I prefer to drink the prosecco. Very pricey but worth it for a fine dining experience.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasantly surprisedI had not eaten in the restaurant in the Performing Arts Complex in years, and I was pleasantly surprised to have such fantastic food at reasonable prices. I had the mac and cheese, a side item which was reasonably portioned and very good, creamy and balanced. The tomato soup with goat cheese croutons was excellent, and I would go back again just for that. I had a bite of the crab cakes as well, and even though I don't normally get crab cakes these were delicate and delicious. The bread pudding for dessert was also great. The location is what sells it, and of course the staff is very attentive to your show time, but the food makes it worth visiting again.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spot to eat before a showIf you have tickets to a play this is perfectly located right in the Performing Arts Complex. You can enjoy your meal up to minutes before the show; the theater is literally a few yards away. My son had not been to a show before or out to a fine dining restaurant. It was a special night for him and the restaurant was excellent. The food is good but nothing to rave about. I had their corn beef sliders which were the special of the day, their were tasty but difficult to bite through. This was the first time that the service was slow and the explanation was handled poorly. Later, the staff did work to make amends. It is necessary to make a reservation well in advance.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had driven all the wayWe had driven all the way from Aspen, and were dining before seeing a musical at the Buell Theatre, as were most of the other patrons. When I was nervous about the service taking too long, the waitress assured me that we would have plenty of time before curtain, and we did! The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
