Diner Reviews
  • "Excellent place for a seafood appetite and the service is impeccable."

  • "We were greeted with enthusiasm by the owners and immediately brought to our table. Our server, Brittany, was gracious, pleasant, and knowledgeable about the menu, specials, etc. Each member of my party ordered one of the specials for dinner, and every meal was fresh, delicious, and prepared to perfection. Always, always a fabulous experience. Will definitely return!!"

  • "The choices at Limani are many and every option is a good one. We really enjoy the ahi tuna seared rare. If you like tuna, Limani is a must. Ruby red and soft to the fork, the tuna is the best around. Oysters, briny and sweet, it is my go to appetizer. My entree, blackened scallops and shrimp, cooked perfectly. Scallops tender and exterior caramelized, shrimp snapping crisp on the outside with a tender juicy interior. Always a great meal."

  • "Limani consistently delivers great food and great service. It is our favorite place to dine. The oysters are awesome, as is the seared ahi. It is difficult to choose what to have because all of it is great."

  • "Amazing, as always! You guys consistently produce delicious food in a fantastic atmosphere where we're treated like family."

  • "Not being a huge seafood fan, I can't go into much detail, but I loved the steamers. Seared ahi was good, but not the best I've ever had. The wasabi potatoes didn't do it for me. Had thought the "testing menu", as shown on their website, would have been available, but the current prix fixe selections were entirely different - a little disappointing. Side note - the place looked empty, but it turns out they had nearly everyone seated in the back room, which was a little loud, windowless and stuffy. Even though there's not much to look at from the window, I think I would have preferred to eat in front."

  • "it was an excellent experience, the food is outstanding and service was on point."

  • "Recently dined here with my husband for the first time. We both enjoyed our meals, the atmosphere and the fact that it is a BYOB. Overall, it was a Delicious Dining Experience! The Shrimp Scampi was amazing! We will definitely be returning!"

  • "We dine at Limani frequently and bring all of our friends to share in the experience. Oysters are fresh, briny and succulent. The best Ahi tuna appetizers and entrees are at Limani. Once you experience the beautiful ruby red, buttery soft ahi tuna, prepared rare, you will never desire it anywhere else. This week I tried the blackened scallop and shrimp combo with two sides of veggies. Both scallops and shrimp were prepared perfectly. Everything on the menu is wonderful so any selection is a winner. I can't wait for soft shell crab season as Limani prepares it like no other. The restaurant is always packed with eager foodies, yet service never falters and food is spot on. Bring your favorite bottle of wine, kick back and enjoy."

  • "Limani has been around for a number of years, and we come here about once a month, often on Sunday night's short notice. The owner and staff are friendly, food is always good. There is a wide assortment of fish, cooked many different ways, and we're never disappointed. 15 course tasting a great value, my teenagers sometimes go for this. Notable standout dishes...octopus appetizer is second to none! Warm tender and served over arugula. Spanikopita also best we've ever had, we always order it. For entrees, tuna always cooked to perfection and excellent. Specials are always good, recent favorites were skate in brown butter and arctic char drizzled with olive oil and lemon. Desserts also very good, some unique Greek candidates are worth trying."

  • "My family and I frequently dine here because we are never disappointed . Food is delicious and service is great. You won't be sorry you tried it!"

  • "Never have a meal I don't like, staff and owner are very friendly."

  • "I had pretty fresh seafood there with the raw oysters. Fresher than most places. They messed up an order initially with the seafood diablo but replaced it. I felt it was very slow considering the amount of people. As for the price of the dinner I didn't feel it was worth it. For the price you can go for a fairly expensive dinner out in NYC."

  • "Once again we had a wonderful dinner at Limani. As always the fish was superb!! The menu had so many choices of fish with interesting preparations--it was really hard to choose. Service, especially with Robert as our waiter, was top notch. The mid-week prix fix menu is a great deal. It changes every week depending on what is fresh, etc. We are so lucky to have such a consistently excellent restaurant so close to home!"

  • "Six of us dined here for Westfield's Restaurant Week and, as always, Limani, did not disappoint. Most restaurants in Westfield had scant offerings for Restaurant Week due to the price limitations. Somehow George was able to pull together an interesting, diverse and delicious menu. The fish taco appetizer was a big hit as was the salad with mango, apples, candied nuts, etc. Our table tried several entrees--the cod, swordfish and sole were big hits. Our server, Robert, was wonderful. The BYO policy helps keep the cost down. We will definitely return!"

  • "My family and I went to Limani's for a birthday dinner. The prices were incredibly high for the quality of food we received. The lobster roll looked like something I would get at a backyard barbecue when I was 5, and had almost no taste. The crab legs tasted like what you would get at Red Lobster but triple the price. Next time I will save my money and dine somewhere else."
    Dined on 3/19/2014
  • "Sunday dinner started with wonderfully briny blue point oysters. The swordfish special with crab stuffed portobello mushroom was perfectly cooked and a nice change from our usual fare. Pan seared crab cakes (98% crab) with vegetable sides, always a go to entree. Limani is a must for any seafood lovers bucket list."

  • "Love this restaurant, some of the best seafood around."

  • "Went here for a Saturday night outing. The food was great and the server was very knowledgable and friendly."
    Dined on 3/8/2014
  • "We went on a Saturday night and it was packed. We had 8PM reservations but did not get seated until 8:45. Once they moved our party of 5 from a table too small for 4 to a normal table everything went well. They comp'd us an appetizer to make up for the wait and initial bad table. The food was excellent. I had the blackened mahi w/ chipotle sauce and my wife had the salmon stuffed with crabmeat. Both were excellent as were our friends' meals. The service was good, not too much, not too little. Desert was very good as well although we were all full by then. The espresso was a little bitter but otherwise no complaints."

  • "They treat the customers like meat. And this is a fish place. Only the mobbed up people who know the owner seem to get in right away. Not fun at all."
    Dined on 3/1/2014
  • "Food was excellent. Loved the price fixe dinner choices. Nice size portions"
    Dined on 3/5/2014
  • "I would avoid this place on a Saturday night. I was seated in a walkway despite making my reservation four days in advance. How can any diner enjoy their meal being bumped in the back by wait staff and other diners on their way to the rear dining room. I was also subjected to the loud clanking of dishes from the open kitchen window three feet from my table. Very little attention to this table was paid by the wait staff as water glasses were not refilled and the dishes were just dropped off quickly to clear the walkway. Food was quite ordinary and all diners at my table agreed that the dinner seemed very rushed."

  • "It was a first time visit, to Limani, for our friends. We always rave about the restaurant and our favorite entree, the grilled bronzino mediterranean style. The food did not disappoint. We shared two great appetizers, the coconut shrimp and the grilled octopus. I had the seafood sampler as an entree, my friend had the crabcakes, 3 nice sized cakes 98% crabmeat. Both our husbands had the bronzino. All entrees arrived with sides of lemon roasted potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed escarole. From start to finish our dining experience was a very enjoyable one. We brought our favorite bottles of Napa cabernet. Good food, great friends, what could be better? If you have not been to Limani, put it on your to do list."

  • "Limani's is my favorite restaurant in Westfield and, generally, one of the finest seafood restaurants anywhere. I love bronzino and have ordered it in many places, but no one does it like Limani's!! It's my go-to place. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and George is a gracious host."

  • "We went to Limani's for my brother's birthday celebration. Overall, the dining experience was very good. The food was very fresh. The only thing that was disappointing was the seating. We were a party of five. I made a reservation. We were seated at a table normally for four and the fifth seat was added at the end of the table by the walkway. It felt a little crowded for five people to be seated at that table."

  • "George and his staff are no longer the one of the best kept secrets in the suburbs. This BYOB does seafood and other foods with a Greek twist that is outstanding!"
    Dined on 2/22/2014
  • "We haven't dined at limani in well over a year...not for any specific reason. The service is attentive and the specials are very unique/interesting, and a great fish selection The down side is that the prices are on the high side.....significantly over priced for the value. The tables seem a little too close and somewhat uncomfortable from our standpoint."

  • "First time visit - delicious clam chowder, fresh salads, freshest fish...lemons come with cheese cloth for the seeds, nice touch! The service was attentive but not overbearing. Great lunch menu value. Too bad it's not next door..."

  • "I've been in this restaurant a few times and this was the first time that the food was not good and the service was not great either. Will be awhile till I go back."

  • "Excellent food, as always, at very reasonable prices!"

  • "Our New England clam chowder, baked cod in a tomato-based Greek-style sauce and crabcakes were excellent. We're going back to try their steamed lobsters."

  • "Came for dinner during Restaurant week. $30 for 3 courses: Had the fish tacos, lobster bisque, and crab cakes. Portions were smaller than expected, but the quality, taste, and presentation were all very good. I would go back again."
    Dined on 2/19/2014
  • "Oysters appetizer cold and briny. Crab cakes moist and flavorful as well as perfectly seared, rare, ahi tuna entree. Seafood heaven on a plate. This is our go to place for fresh seafood. As always the food is exceptionally prepared and the service is accomodating and friendly. No matter what you order, you can never go wrong at Limani."

  • "We have been to limani many times. Unfortunately, we have had reservations each time and also had to wait 15-20 minutes each time. They simply overbook the place and then put you on a first-come, first-served list. The popularity of the place is because the food was traditionally great at reasonable prices for such quality. But prices have gone up (my entree was $39 for scallops), and the crowded restaurant means the waiters really have no time to devote for service. It is still a very good place. Our entrees were great. Our appetizers, however, we're lackluster. Limani was great. Now it's good."

  • "first time in my life I was told that I would have only 1.5 hours to dine.So having Valentine day dinner with my wife, I had to watch time. Ambience was at the level of a cheap diner, while prices reached the highest manhatten fancy spots. Food was good, but nothing special (again, according to price)."
