A word from Lillie's Times Square
An Irish-Victorian Bar and Restaurant, just steps from Times Square and numerous Broadway plays. The interior has a distinctly late 19th century feel with wooden furnishings brought from Belfast, Ireland.
Serving a wide range of domestic and international beers (30 on tap and 30 bottled). A great selection of whiskeys and wines, including some excellent wine from the Langtry Winery in California where Lillie herself owned and lived for a time.

The food is traditional Pub Fare, including soups, salads, stews, fish and steaks. Lillie's serves food from 11am - 2am. The Irish Breakfast is served all day. Brunch is served on the weekends from 11am to 4pm.

Diner Reviews
  • "Fun, attractive place with interesting menu. Shepard's pie nachos were very tasty. Burger with brie was requested with no pancetta. It came with pancetta but no brie. Brie was brought to the table. Fortunately the burger was still warm and the brie melted a bit. Prices are midtown Manhattan level - not cheap."

  • "The Victorian decor is interesting. The tables are small but perhaps it wants to be more of an upscale bar than a restaurant. It was full of patrons when we arrived. The waitstaff was very attentive and filled orders in a timely manner. We both had the filet and it was fabulous. Very close to the theaters. Will go again"

  • "A huge reason to visit this place is for the ambience alone. It feels like walking onto the set of a victorian mansion (on steroids). I would recommend this place for its appetizers and drinks. My husband and I shared the mussels (were great) and the portion was WELL worth the $17 price. The amount you get could well serve 3-4 people. The wine and cocktail list is good, though a bit pricey, wine by the glass starting at $11. We also both had the fish and chips as an entree and though good, I have had better and felt that $17 for the entree was a bit of a hefty price for the small fish portion and quality, but that is not to say it wasn't a decent plate. just nothing special. Overall it's a great place and worth a visit while in Manhattan."

  • "Lillie's Time Square is a great casual pre show or after work spot. Both the drinks and the food are consistently great. Between 5pm and 8pm it is very busy, so be sure to book a reservation if you intend to dine at a table. However, if you choose to drink at the bar, the bartenders are fabulous and the drinks (great house cocktails and Sangria) never dissapoint."

  • "The interior is absolutely gorgeous, the food is delicious, nice servers. However, all the money and time spent to make this place feel like the Victorian era you would think they would play more classy music instead of club music. Not saying they should play classical (though that would kick it up a few notches), but maybe jazz or French bistro music. The current music takes away from the amazing design, in my opinion."

  • "3 of our party of 4 got outstanding meals. But, my husband ordered lamb chops - one of the most expensive things on the menu- and they came drizzled in American BBQ sauce. Yuck!! What was the chef thinking?! Our out-of-town guests are from New Zealand and we have lived there, so we know what a lamb chop is supposed to taste like. Not even "Outback" does something like that. My husband was so unhappy, I traded meals with him to avoid a scene. We don't recall BBQ sauce being mentioned on the menu. And our after-dinner coffee was fast-food quality. Get a good coffee machine. Our visitors enjoyed the meal (except for the coffee) so I gave it 4 stars. A good restaurant with a few surprisingly bad things. Music was too loud."

  • "Found Lillie's on Tripadvisor ... it looked like something different, and it was! Funky decor filled with lots of mismatched lighting, vintage looking pictures and antique looking furniture. Friendly service, nice menu and good food. I had the shepherd's pie and my friend had the chicken pot pie, but burgers, salads, and other selections were available. The bar was extensive and it was very busy the entire time we were there. This would be a good choice for something different in a city where finding something truly unique is rare."

  • "I arrived before my friend did and the hostess said she would seat me and let my friend know where I was. She seated me in the back. I waited, and waited, and waited. I called my friend but her phone went immediately to voice mail. About 1/2 an hour later, she called me. She had been waiting in the front at the bar, and the hostess, when she arrived, gave her name and mine, never sent her back to my table. My advice is wait for the rest of your party at the front of the bar or stand at the hostess stand."

  • "It is difficult to find but well worth the search. The stools were a little high and the table was off balance; otherwise, the food and service was quite good. Big tv screen made you feel that you were at the soccer match. All the staff were very friendly. We would recommend this restaurant to friends."

  • "Off the beaten tourist path, Lillie's is a surprisingly elegant find. Great for groups, with a near unbeatable prix fixe lunch special of an entree and beer/wine for $13 (!). They played some amazing 80s hits in the backgruond as well, without them being too loud for lunch. Solid British/American fare."

  • "We had a wonderful experience with both the hostess and the waitress who made sure we were accommodated quickly. On the other hand, the blended tastes on our food choices left us wondering. Smoked cheese on the Mac n cheese, bizarre salad dressing flavors that didn't complement our salads and over cooked burgers left us a bit disappointed. Also, massive amounts of dust on the copious decorations left us a bit unsettled. I've been to this Lillie's for drinks and loved it, but we won't go back for food. "

  • "Not only was this restaurant beautiful, the food and service were excellent. The chicken pot pie and strawberry spinach salad were wonderful. Our waitress was so sweet and attentative, this will definitely be a regular stop for me while in New York. "

  • "Limited lunch special menu, very good value, restaurant has huge bar area and can be noisy if crowded. The tables are very small and closely spaced together. The seating is very comfortably soft. "

  • "This restaurant/bar is a great place to have brunch. Although we made reservations, it was not busy on a Sunday. With our hotel very close, we returned the next day for a late lunch prior to flying home. The brunch menu is not extensive but it had a very good selection. The prices are good ($14) and include a beverage from the bar and lunch was similar with wine included. The meals came very hot. The decor is a wonderful selection of old framed art and the Staffordshire dogs on the mantel at the back top it all off. "

  • "We went to dinner before a broadway show. Service was fast and efficient and we had plenty of time to make the show after finishing our dinner. A little loud and touristy but the decor was fun, lots of interesting things to look at."

  • "This bar was extremely noisy and the small dining area was not very comfortable. Food was just average. Probably good if you want a bite to eat during happy hour but definitely not for a relaxing dinner."

  • "My daughter and I went to see Sistas and had reservations for Lillie's Times Square afterwards. I'm glad I went, but I would only return if I were to sit at the bar and drink. I was not at all impressed with my meal. First of all, I ordered a Veggie burger and was given a Turkey burger, which was fine, except I could've made a better one at home. The sweet potato fries were the frozen kind; again I could've made these at home. It was pretty tasteless and I could tell that the pretzel bun was frozen and thawed more than once. The service was much better, thank goodness!!!"

  • "Very good food. and fun atmosphere. Made a res for my niece's birthday but when we got there the restaurant had been booked for a large party so we were placed at the front of the place eiyh 2 other reservations and were served fine. It got terribly crowded and noisy when the big party arrived. Also attended the Broadway Cares fundraiser for the Tonys and it was great fun which is why I came back. Casual food but the entrees were great and unexpectedly good."

  • "What a lovely place, lots of people but not overcrowded and the food was fantastic , best fillet steak I have ever had. Would recommend Lilies as a lovely friendly place not over priced just off Times Square so convenient before / after a show. "

  • "The design and decorations really gave us that old english " Victorian Era" feeling/ neighborhood pub Easy three minute walk from the Gershwin theater! Menu was deep but not complicated felt like an English/ Irish pub. I like eating in busy places because you know the food is fresh. I also love seeing a full bar of patrons @ 5:00 p.m. That tells you all you need to know of the location's popularity The food and service were first rate so I left a well deserved 20% tip. The manager even came over to check on us"

  • "This place was super cute. I was a little early for my reservation, so I walked past it to peer in and the greeter smiled at me and told me I could come inside to have a look if I'd like - and if I were just walking past, I would have. The interior is lovely, with beautiful stained glass, plush velvet seats, and a truly Victorianesque atmosphere. The food was phenomenal, as well, and unexpectedly so because the prices were so very reasonable. The waitstaff was friendly, and quick, and my water glass never went empty. Highly, highly recommend Lillie's to anyone who is going to be eating in the TImes Square area."

  • "took 2 hours to get our meal even though we made them aware during our reservation this was a pre show meal. told us the kitchen was understaffed. I had the chicken pot pie. the vegetables were raw and hard and the pastry was white and gooey raw. and fyi all seating is in bar stools. very uncomfortable and impossible for the disabled."

  • "So pretty inside! The Victorian decor is beautiful; everything from the marble bar to the beautiful colums, to the tin ceilings in the bathroom. $16 brunch included and entre and choice of mimosa/bloody/screwdriver. Great deal!"

  • "How have I lived in NY so long and not known Lillies??? Went there for pre-theater dinner and it was delightful. Great ambiance, food good, great menu selection, very friendly and accommodating staff, priced very reasonably, a real find!! Will definitely go back and will suggest to friends. Easy, happy place to go with date or girlfriend."

  • "If you are looking for a beautiful, reasonable place in the Times Square area, Lillie's wins hands down! From the outside, it looks so unassuming, but, you open the doors and the architectural detail and decor will wow you. Great place to hang with friends for a drink, or have lunch before the show. ( had brunch here once, and that was great too.) I suggest if you are in the area, don't miss Lillie's, you'll be glad you came!!!!"

  • "My friend and I went to Lillie's for lunch before our matinee. The decor is so pretty that we thought it was part of the St. Malachy's chapel for actors right next door. We sat on cozy cushioned couch-type chairs in the back and dined on one of their $13 lunch specials (M-F) that included a glass of wine! I had the beet salad w/ goat cheese and brussels sprouts and my friend had a burger. Both were very good. The staff was accomodating & pleasant. We were there at noon on a Wed., so it was very quiet. More people came in shortly after we did for lunch, but overall it was not noisy or crowded. We would definitely recommend visiting here for the ambience and good value!"

  • "We enjoyed a lovely pre-theater meal at Lillie's on a lovely early spring evening in March. We were greeted warmly & seated in a cozy spot at the rear of the long, enchanting dining area. Our server was kind & easy going, yet perfectly attentive. We enjoyed the fish & chips & quiche. It is quite nice "Pub Food," but it's the decor that is really the best bit, for me, anyway. We were a bit tired from a long drive, so we weren't looking for a high-end meal--just something fresh (it was!! Lovely mixed greens:) & laid back. Lillie's delivered on both. Because of the chill, & thoroughly engaging atmosphere, theexact right tone was set for our evening. Thank You, Lillie's! We will definitely be back:)"

  • "Not the place for a quiet dinner - definitely a large bar crowd. The Victorian atmosphere is lovely and a nice place to stop in for a drink. Suggest dining elsewhere. Might try it for a pre-theater lunch..."

  • "I brought a group of friends to Lillie's for my 27th birthday. I'd made a reservation for 6 but noted on OpenTable that we'd likely have people stopping by throughout the night. I was greeted by name at the front door and shown to a great table by the "fireplace" in the back. We soon had double the number of people I'd expected, but as soon as the family next to us was done eating, the staff quickly pushed it over to make one long table for us all to sit and enjoy each others' company. I appreciated the staff's friendliness and hospitality! In addition, the drinks were delicious (if expensive--but hey, it's Midtown) and the calamari still makes my mouth water. Great spot for a special occasion and groups (but definitely make a res)."

  • "It was a Friday evening and the place was packed. The music was extremely loud And annoying techno that was repeated over and over. It was not my idea of a nice quiet dinner at a Victorian restaurant in NYC. It was more of A bar scene. The servers had to wade thru the crowd at the bar and people at The bar were standing right behind our seats. The food was good except they Smothered sauce over the salmon which wasn't how it read on the menu. Trying to leave the restaurant was another ordeal as you had to fight thru the crowd to get to the door."

  • "A BUSY Friday night at Lillie's! Despite a busy bar, private parties and lots of activity, the service and food were great. Delicious drinks, tasty appetizers & food make this a good after-work spot, pre/post theater hangout or a nice place for dinner, too."
