A word from Lillie's Times Square
An Irish-Victorian Bar and Restaurant, just steps from Times Square and numerous Broadway plays. The interior has a distinctly late 19th century feel with wooden furnishings brought from Belfast, Ireland.
Serving a wide range of domestic and international beers (30 on tap and 30 bottled). A great selection of whiskeys and wines, including some excellent wine from the Langtry Winery in California where Lillie herself owned and lived for a time.

The food is traditional Pub Fare, including soups, salads, stews, fish and steaks. Lillie's serves food from 11am - 2am. The Irish Breakfast is served all day. Brunch is served on the weekends from 11am to 4pm.

Diner Reviews
  • "This place was super cute. I was a little early for my reservation, so I walked past it to peer in and the greeter smiled at me and told me I could come inside to have a look if I'd like - and if I were just walking past, I would have. The interior is lovely, with beautiful stained glass, plush velvet seats, and a truly Victorianesque atmosphere. The food was phenomenal, as well, and unexpectedly so because the prices were so very reasonable. The waitstaff was friendly, and quick, and my water glass never went empty. Highly, highly recommend Lillie's to anyone who is going to be eating in the TImes Square area."

  • "took 2 hours to get our meal even though we made them aware during our reservation this was a pre show meal. told us the kitchen was understaffed. I had the chicken pot pie. the vegetables were raw and hard and the pastry was white and gooey raw. and fyi all seating is in bar stools. very uncomfortable and impossible for the disabled."

  • "So pretty inside! The Victorian decor is beautiful; everything from the marble bar to the beautiful colums, to the tin ceilings in the bathroom. $16 brunch included and entre and choice of mimosa/bloody/screwdriver. Great deal!"

  • "If you are looking for a beautiful, reasonable place in the Times Square area, Lillie's wins hands down! From the outside, it looks so unassuming, but, you open the doors and the architectural detail and decor will wow you. Great place to hang with friends for a drink, or have lunch before the show. ( had brunch here once, and that was great too.) I suggest if you are in the area, don't miss Lillie's, you'll be glad you came!!!!"

  • "The place is awesome, the service excellent, the food is very good, the price is right and the ambiance is unique. The music is also great."

  • "My friend and I went to Lillie's for lunch before our matinee. The decor is so pretty that we thought it was part of the St. Malachy's chapel for actors right next door. We sat on cozy cushioned couch-type chairs in the back and dined on one of their $13 lunch specials (M-F) that included a glass of wine! I had the beet salad w/ goat cheese and brussels sprouts and my friend had a burger. Both were very good. The staff was accomodating & pleasant. We were there at noon on a Wed., so it was very quiet. More people came in shortly after we did for lunch, but overall it was not noisy or crowded. We would definitely recommend visiting here for the ambience and good value!"

  • "We enjoyed a lovely pre-theater meal at Lillie's on a lovely early spring evening in March. We were greeted warmly & seated in a cozy spot at the rear of the long, enchanting dining area. Our server was kind & easy going, yet perfectly attentive. We enjoyed the fish & chips & quiche. It is quite nice "Pub Food," but it's the decor that is really the best bit, for me, anyway. We were a bit tired from a long drive, so we weren't looking for a high-end meal--just something fresh (it was!! Lovely mixed greens:) & laid back. Lillie's delivered on both. Because of the chill, & thoroughly engaging atmosphere, theexact right tone was set for our evening. Thank You, Lillie's! We will definitely be back:)"

  • "We had dinner at Lillies before going to a Broadway show a week before Thanksgiving. This was our 1st time here and when we walked through the door, we were awed by the Victorian decor, high ceiling and the noise. The restaurant was decorated for Christmas and looked very festive. We sat in the back which was nice, but very tight. The food is OK, but nothing special and the portions a bit small. The service was great for such a busy place. Our waitress asked if we were going to a show and we told her yes. She made sure we got our food quickly and let us know whether we had time for coffee and dessert or not. That's nice. Overall, it was a nice experience, but the noise level can be off-putting."

  • "Not the place for a quiet dinner - definitely a large bar crowd. The Victorian atmosphere is lovely and a nice place to stop in for a drink. Suggest dining elsewhere. Might try it for a pre-theater lunch..."

  • "I brought a group of friends to Lillie's for my 27th birthday. I'd made a reservation for 6 but noted on OpenTable that we'd likely have people stopping by throughout the night. I was greeted by name at the front door and shown to a great table by the "fireplace" in the back. We soon had double the number of people I'd expected, but as soon as the family next to us was done eating, the staff quickly pushed it over to make one long table for us all to sit and enjoy each others' company. I appreciated the staff's friendliness and hospitality! In addition, the drinks were delicious (if expensive--but hey, it's Midtown) and the calamari still makes my mouth water. Great spot for a special occasion and groups (but definitely make a res)."

  • "A BUSY Friday night at Lillie's! Despite a busy bar, private parties and lots of activity, the service and food were great. Delicious drinks, tasty appetizers & food make this a good after-work spot, pre/post theater hangout or a nice place for dinner, too."

  • "It was a Friday evening and the place was packed. The music was extremely loud And annoying techno that was repeated over and over. It was not my idea of a nice quiet dinner at a Victorian restaurant in NYC. It was more of A bar scene. The servers had to wade thru the crowd at the bar and people at The bar were standing right behind our seats. The food was good except they Smothered sauce over the salmon which wasn't how it read on the menu. Trying to leave the restaurant was another ordeal as you had to fight thru the crowd to get to the door."

  • "This place is a fascinating restaurant and bar - lots of stuff to look at with a Victorian theme. The people who work there are extremely friendly and helpful. The martinis were perfect and the food is superb...try the pulled pork over fries, but ask for it on the sweet potato fries....soooo good. It's in the theater area, so great for before or after a show."

  • "Went here for pre-theatre dinner because it was across from the theatre. Very, very loud music and bar crowd, and our waitress was really inattentive. Food was ok but experience overall not good."

  • "came here to meet a friend for brunch who had been away for some time. I love their brunch I have no complaints about the food- it is always great. The Service was better than most days - which came as a surprise to me since their service is usually their downfall..one thing- the waitress did get our orders wrong but that was quickly fixed which I liked. I will be back again."

  • "Lillie's was really delightful! Went there for pre-theater Brunch on Sunday -- the place is so sharp and the Brunch menu was great! This place will definitely go on my future Brunch/Lunch list."

  • "Interesting decor is the highlight of this bar, which features an impressive beer and wine list for the price point and excellent burgers. Only down side was the service was a bit slow and disorganized."

  • "This is a reasonably priced restaurant in the theatre district. First time here, previously went to the Union Square restaurant. Had the steak sandwich and although it was good, there was very little steak in it. The chicken sandwich was better. Asked for a substitute for the fries and was given a huge portion of some of some terrific coleslaw."

  • "Lillie's was a good place for a pre-show dinner. But it got very loud and very crowded with tables close together. The hostess and wait staff could benefit from some "the people dining here are our guests" training. They are abrupt and not accommodating despite my having written a note in the "special requests" section when making my open table on line reservation. The bus boys were the friendliest of them all and willing to help. Novel atmosphere that was interesting to see once."

  • "The appetizers were absolutely delicious; but the entrees didn't hit that high mark. Reuben not so good: used coleslaw, not saurkraut and pastrmai was tough. hamburgers: one fine; the other too rare. but we'll go back again"

  • "I found this place due to its proximity to the Eugene O'Neil Theatre. It's a cool looking building from the outside but when you step inside you're taken back decades. Its style is one of the most inviting, interesting decor's I've seen in a long time. Now, there is nothing remotely wrong with the food cleanliness but the candles in the window had melted over due to the sun and the wall sconces were a bit dusty, like every restaurant in the day light. That's it! Everything else was great. The Scottish waitress was a pure delight and made great suggestions!"

  • "The restaurant was nice. The menu sounded great but the food was very bland. Got the spinach dip and vegetable spring rolls, both were lacking. The chicken sandwich was good, but the mac and cheese had no flavor at all. Cool place, but will not be going back. The staff were fine, didn't know drinks very well which is surprising for a NYC bar."

  • "If you want good food, in surroundings that take you back to the Victorian era, then Lillie's is the place for you. The minute you step in the door, you are transported into yesteryear with antique furnishings and ambiance. Old English and Irish elements abound here. This little restaurant/bar is a little gem in the heart of the theater district. The food is very good, as are the prices. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. I recommend this to anyone for pre and post theater dining or if you just want to share drinks with friends."

  • "Lillie's Time Square is great for a pre theater lunch, brunch, drink. The ambiance is fantastic, you feel as if you are in a Victorian establishment. The choice on the menu covered all bases. There is a special Brunch menu at very reasonable for NYC prices. I especially recommend this if you like to sit at a nice bar. . .the bar is gorgeous! and I am not a bar person. lol"

  • "Although the look and ambiance of the restaurant were wonderful, the food was was distinctly mediocre. Very poor bar food. Have actually had better IN BARS!"

  • "Surprised that it was more of a pub atmosphere than a restaurant, our food expectations were lowered. But we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. While your Mom or grandmother might like the campy decor, it's all barstool height seating so make sure your date is energetic. Great for pre-theater."

  • "Had lunch here on a recommendation from a friend. In the heart of theater district, so a great spot to eat before a show. Awesome weekend brunch menu that included a cocktail with your meal- all for $16. What a deal! Got grilled ham & cheese that was outstanding. Interior is beautiful Victorian architecture. Great spot!!"

  • "I had a baby in April and had not been out alone for more than an hour or two in almost 8 months. My husband and I went into the city for a 2pm show and lunch at Lillies. I told the hostess I had not been out in a while and she gave us a nice table in the back. The DJ during brunch was awesome. Food was soooo good. Especially the mac & cheese. Our server was awesome when we told her we needed to get to a 2pm show. All in all a great "first" date for me and my husband. We will be back!"

  • "I have been here several times and I am in love with the brunch- the food is great and the price for brunch is unbeatable for the area. What lacks here is service- we waited a good 20 minutes before we got a waitress to take our order and waited another 20 to get our food. I don't know if it was personal or maybe it was an off day.....but my friend took it personal as the couple sitting right next to us had no problem getting service and were attended to regularly. I take it easy because that's just how I am....I go to lillie's for the food not the waitress."

  • "Lillie's features an over the top Victorian theme which is cool. Great bar scene.menu is more upscale pub grub with lots salads, sandwich burgers and a few carefully chosen entrees. Service was quite good. We were in the mood for burgers and Lillie's were great. A word about comfort...seating is a mix of couches and chairs but all are high tops. Had trouble getting up on the couch, too high, and the chair was a bit lower but one of the most uncomfortable chairs ever sat in. As much as we enjoyed Lillie's , the seating Aline might make me think twice about returning"

  • "I was in New York City for the weekend and after reading the reviews I thought I would try Lillie's for brunch before an afternoon Broadway show. There was a lot to choose from on the menu. Unfortunately, the service was very poor. Our food took over 40 minutes to be served. We ordetred eggs and french toast (which was burnt). The burnt french toast was taken off our bill however the waitress and manger did not seem too concerned about our dissatifaction."

  • "For a girls' day out the Friday after Thanksgiving, we went to Lillie's before seeing Cinderella. My cousin spotted Lillie's from across the street without realizing it was where we were going and said it was so pretty she wished we were going there. When we entered it didn't disappoint. A Victorian restaurant in the middle of Manhattan is truly an unexpected find. And being decorated for Christmas just added to the ambience! The food was basic but fine, our server was friendly and professional, and while the room had a vibrancy to it, the noise level allowed comfortable conversation. Only in Manhattan can you find a Victorian restaurant with an air of sophistication. A magical start to the night! (Incidentally, we are New Yorkers)"

  • "I live in the neighborhood and always avoided Lillie's because it looked like a tourist trap and too expensive. I finally gave in and went because I was going to see Chicago (on the same block.) I was completely blown away from the minute I walked in. This place is beyond beautiful. Its rustic and hypnotizing. Definitely a must see."
