LiletteGreat for foodiesThis restaurant is great for foodies! The food selections Are abundant and by taste buds are still dancing from the tantalizing flavors. Our table had several of the fish dishes including the wall bar and everything was fresh and flavorful. The waitress was very attentive during the ordering of our meals and took the time to explain how the dishes are prepared as well as the specials for the evening. The appetizers came out in a timely manner, however there were long gaps between the other courses and we only saw the waitress when the orders were delivered, Which is why I only gave it three stars for service. The desserts were scrumptious, the portion size were generous, and there was a high energy5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMA Fantastic French TreatLilette is one of the greatest spots for french cuisine I have had the pleasure of visiting in the city. Our lunch included steamed little neck clams, an arugula salad with apple, red onion, celery root, mint, pinenuts and a Calvados apple dressing, the grilled black drum, and duck confit. The duck confit was the best I have ever had: glazed with roasted radish and mushroom vinaigrette, it was supremely juicy and tender. The atmosphere is airy and maintains a sense of Parisian flare. As an afternoon lunch spot, we could not have asked for more.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightfulWe ate with a group of six friends so we all got something different. One of our group was vegetarian so he asked for something special. Everyone was very very pleased with their meals. One person got the Hanger Steak and said the steak was great but the reduction sauce was over cooked. He enthusiastically said it would not prevent him from returning. The duck was wonderful and the halibut was truly the best prepared the person who ordered it had ever eaten. The vegetarian was very happy. We come to NOLA several times a year and have eaten at all the best restaurants. Now we have a new favorite.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing!!! Our best diningAmazing!!! Our best dining experience in New Orleans.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMFine Mid-Day Rest & RecuperationWe ate on the shaded patio in back of this charming little restaurant. (In warmer weather, this might not have been as pleasant as it was for us on the cool day we visited.) The warm beet and goat cheese appetizer is one of the best things I've ever eaten. We both had the Italian Wedding Soup which was full of flavor and just right for an afternoon stop on our sightseeing adventure. The service was knowledgeable and attentive, and the patio was a very relaxing place to enjoy the wonderful food. I'll come back here, and certainly recommend it to anyone on a shopping tour of Magazine St.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMJazzFest 2013Lirette is one of my favorite restaurants in No.
We go every time we are in the city and it never fails to please.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were seated in a smallWe were seated in a small room in the back, party of 4, which allowed for comfortable conversation. It was a nice private area. The hostess changed our reservation at the last second from party of 2 to party of 4 with minimal groveling needed on my part. Food was great. Would definitely go there again.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMI always enjoy eating at Lilette.I always enjoy eating at Lilette. The food is always fresh and delicious! The wait staff is top notch!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service could be friendlierThe service could be friendlier (they are not warm like the typical New Orleans staff) but this is a gem of a restaurant -- innovative food and well prepared. Always enjoy it.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinner. EverythingGreat dinner. Everything worked. Service kept dishes coming at a perfect pace. They made a special meal for one vegan in the group. Very considerate. Wine list short but great.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMNot the normal experienceThis is a great restaurant; wonderful neighborhood place to enjoy lunch or dinner. Only reason it doesn't hit a perfect score is my last visit saw some service needs. Food is wonderful and the place energetic. If you have seating along any wall you still can maintain a private conversation. Any of the tables down the middle of the room and you are dining with strangers. The service was really lacking, although the food not on my last visit. When you have to flag servers down to re-fill water glasses or ask for bread, you know this is not what Lilette was founded on. It was impossible making eye contact, they seemed to be all about talking and visiting amoung themselves. It was a mid-week night so while busy, it was not packed.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe're in a small room so noiseWe're in a small room so noise was not a problem. Would go back in a minute.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstandingNeighborhood gem that is full of energy. Great food reminiscent of a French brasserie. Highly recommended.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMA Neighbourhood GemAll in all a wonderful dining experience - our third visit as travellers from London (England). Acoustics are very resonant, however, and the presence of several groups of 'hooray Henrys', as we call them in the UK, was rather distracting. Good that they were seated at a distance from us...4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMLilette is amazing! We lovedLilette is amazing! We loved everything we had and I wished I could’ve eaten there again while visiting NOLA. We ordered the lunch specials and loved everyone bite, the lamb meatballs, heirloom tomato salad, and pork scaloppini salad were amazing. The best part of the meal might have been the dessert although everything was good. The dessert we had was a trio of house-made ice creams which included run, caramel, and chocolate chip ice cream with chocolate chip cookies. We also had strawberry lemonade sorbet which was the BEST sorbet I have ever had. Do not leave lilette without dessert!4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a great experience! GreatWhat a great experience! Great food, great drinks, great dessert! The meal was well rounded with several options and varying levels of adventure. The serving sizes were appropriate for you to enjoy an entire meal and include dessert. Often desserts at restaurants are an afterthought and can diminish the overall experience of a restaurant, but Lillete delivered!
Show up early and enjoy a drink next door at Bouligny Tavern for an extra special night out.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMSO good- we always love comingSO good- we always love coming back here. The tables were full but the noise level was nice. We had a great dinner and the desserts were yummy. I look forward to going back.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a lovely spot on MagazineWhat a lovely spot on Magazine in New Orleans. I had the kobe burger and the fries were specially seasoned. It is not a burger place but the burger was great. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her hearts of palm salad. And the outdoor sidewalk setting was a scene out of Europe. Wonderful.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother great restaurant inAnother great restaurant in New Orleans at the $30-$50 per person price point. The food is top-notch, and the service is good. The restaurant is a bit noisy, but that's the price you pay for being popular!3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful dining experience!Wonderful dining experience! Was served by five charming people throughout my meal. Specials for each step that were delicious. Lovely, secluded, natural setting with a nice selection of soft music playing in the background. Bottom line is that the food was delicious and gave me that buzz you get after a great meal.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a anniversary dinnerWe had a anniversary dinner here, we loved it and want to come back. While not the most inexpensive of restaurants, the quality of items was high and was a good value overall. The service was attentive and made good suggestions - even with cocktails. We tried to pace ourselves so we could make it to dessert. We did and it was delicious. I'm still thinking about the nutella custard!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMClassic food, perfectly executed.Classic food, perfectly executed.
