LilacMy mom and I had dinner atMy mom and I had dinner at Lilac for Mother's Day after the Women's Run. We stumbled upon Lilac in February when we were looking for some interesting for breakfast. Well let me tell you we were blown away with everything. I couldn't wait to get back to billings to try out dinner. I was not disappointed! The small plates are the way to go! We got an excellent selection of terrific food. Prices are very reasonable. I would go back in a second! And have recommended it to many friends. But to say the noise level was "energetic" is an understatement. There was one woman in particular who was stupidly loud. When that party left the noise level dropped quite a bit. We had a friend in town who is a new business owner out of Boise, Idaho and after some beer tasting we wanted to eat at a place we had never been to before. We had the cheese plate and caesar salads (the croutons gave the ok salad a nice punch) as appetizers and the three of us had entrees that we all loved. I had the risotto and it was fabulous! The other two in the party had the pork and beef dishes and I tried both of them and they were just as outstanding! One of the best parts was the dessert we shared at the end. The chocolate mousse with a popcorn sauce and marshmallow addition that topped it all off. It was one of the best and most unique desserts I've ever had!
