A word from Lido
Lido’s menu is Northern Italian. The menu can be described as fresh, simple, and delicious. Flavors are layered so that each one stands out but does not compete with others in the dish.

The food is organic and local whenever possible and all poultry and meats are from farms that treat animals humanely.

The ambiance is modish but relaxed. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Something for everyone at this comfortable Italian restaurant. Food was updated Italian with many creative elements. Loved the cauliflower! It was available as an appetizer as well as a side selection. Fish dishes were light, but with unusually delicious spices and sauces that were added in just the right proportions so as not to overpower the fish. Classic spaghetti in red sauce w/ veal meatballs was delicious and a generous portion. Two issues: Bread was stale, and wait staff was not well trained. When I asked for a napkin, I was given two small paper cocktail napkins rather than a cloth dinner napkin. The check came w/o anyone asking if we'd like anything else, albeit we had our coffee already. Also, when we were leaving , no one said good night or thank you for coming or any other hospitable words. Not a big deal, but definitely an opportunity for improvement .

In our mid 70s, we often are the oldest couple at Lido. We have enjoyed about 20 meals in the last 2-1/2 years. There is a nice spirit at Lido. People come expecting to have a good time. Always, the food is very good. Staff are friendly, efficient and know what they are doing. We like to do early weekend brunch at 10:30. By 11:30 restaurant is crowded. Weekday lunch is quieter. Our few dinners have been fine but again the restaurant can be full. Reservations are helpful. We like the gnocchi, pasta with veal meatballs, cheese garlic bread. Good list of wines by the glass. Very good desserts. Excellent sorbet and gelato.

Nice hideaway in Harlem with great ambience, but truly mediocre food. Warm kale salad was overpowered by too much vinegar and garlic. Red snapper had a fishy, not-so-fresh taste, pasta was mushy and even the steak was nothing special. We weren't expecting anything fabulous and we were still disappointed. Too bad because prices are reasonable and the place was packed. This neighborhood deserves better quality than what Lido is delivering.

Lovely relaxing dinner, flavor notes hit without overwhelming, just perfect for what we wanted after a busy NYC tourism day. Wine was fairly priced Italian and tasty, desserts of sorbet, gelato, and a chocolate budino were basic and well done, pasta dishes, one with light veal meatballs, the other an arrabiata, were just slightly more done than al dente, lots of sauce, no stand-out flavor other than deep tomato but lots of flavorings including fresh herbs. After-dinner drink list especially good.

Lido's food is simply delicious. Places like this are hard to find and underrated in New York City. The cod fritters were the best I've ever had. The complimentary tapenade was scrumptious. I would happily eat there several nights a week--and the prices most make that feasible. I loved it!

We have eaten here numerous times and always enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere. Saturday the food was not good. We started with the pear arugula salad which was swimming in olive oil. My friend ordered the eggplant, which looked like a very small pile of mush swimming in tomato sauce, I had arrabbiata pasta w/ shrimp, big pile of pasta, sauce ok, and shrimp few and far between. We have enjoyed this restaurant on previous visits, but unfortunately it is too expensive to go back and have food that is not good.

What a gem! My siblings and I were in town for a benefit at the Apollo Theater. We didn't know the neighborhood. A friend recommended Lido., and I got a last minute reservation for 7:30 on a Friday night. Decor was lovely. The place was packed, but we were seated immediately. Cocktails were interesting and delicious. We mentioned we were in a hury and, 15 minutes later (no kidding) we had a table full of spectacular dishes--roasted cauliflower, ceasar salad bagna cauda, brocolli rabe, gnocchi with sage, and the most amazing duck risotto. Our waiter was charming, efficient, and knowledgeable. Could not have asked for a better experience. Made it to our concert by 8:30!

I hosted a surprise Birthday Brunch for my Godmother. Four of the ladies had never been to Lido before. Everyone had a great time. The food was delicious and the mimosas were bottomless. I have a feeling everyone will be back again. The restaurant was very helpful in helping me surprise the Birthday girl. Anthony, our server was attentive to the table and did a great job recommending which dishes to order. This was my third visit and I have had several dishes off the brunch menu - so far, everything tastes great.

Lido has been a great addition to the neighborhood, and we've been meaning to go for a while. I'm glad we finally got there - we had a delicious meal (salt cod fritters, roasted veal meatballs, crispy short ribs) with great service. The place was a little crowded and noisy for our liking, but hopefully its popularity means it'll be sticking around - we're looking forward to going back!

I went here with some friends who were visiting from out of town. We had the bottomless mimosa brunch, which was great for the price. I had the poached eggs with roasted potatoes and spinach - it was delicious! The portions are small, but still very filling. My friends had the goat cheese omelet and the french toast. They really liked their meal. It was a really great place for an afternoon brunch and the staff is very welcoming. I would definitely go return for another great meal.

I'm an advocate of self-contained communities. As a South Bronx resident, I loathe having to get on the subway for a descent meal. But that I did, and Lido did not disappoint. Our server was welcoming & well-informed. My grilled octopus appetizer was a nice combination of flavors & textures. The crispy short ribs with polenta and horseradish cream would have been better off without the crispy; it tended to dry out the otherwise tender rib. Needless to say, there was no room for dessert. Dinner for two, including wine was about $200. Ouch! Getting back to my original point, self-contained neighborhoods, do not imply accessible to the community, whether you're a Harlemite or crossing borders from the South Bronx and beyond.

Food was excellent and our waiter was very professional. One of the servers brought our appetizer to the table next to us accidentally and the waiter came out right away to apologize and explain that it was a mistake, they would bring ours as quickly as possible, and that it would be on the house. Very well handled. There was some sort of kitchen fire making the dining area very smoky for about 30 minutes. It wasn't so bad we had to evacuate and nothing dramatic happened. Fortunately, it was a nice evening and the front windows were all open allowing the smoke to clear relatively quickly. An explanation might have been nice, but of course, wasn't absolutely necessary.

Huge portions especially the snapper which was the night's special so a three course meal may be quite a bit even with lots of time to spare and wine (my moscato glasses were happily filled to the brim!). Came for a bachelorette brunch here, August 2014. The deal was great, unlimited mimosas for $14 with an entree but the A/C was broken which just made the whole meal miserable. The staff were not particularly helpful or apologetic about it and our water glasses would sit empty for ages before we could get someone's attention to refill them. Our server just did not seem interested in our table throughout. Food was fine.

When Lido first opened, I was excited. I thought it was a great addition to a developing neighborhood. Over the last few years, though, the quality has declined steadily. The food is barely edible, the bottomless "mimosas" are watered down (even for fourteen dollars, it's not much of a deal), and the service is not good. To boot, the owner is consistently unpleasant and much of the staff is unhelpful and unmotivated. I don't think I'll be dining there again.

The staff helped us from the moment we made the Sunday brunch reservation (we changed our number of people three times) to the moment we got our check. The bus boys fantastically filled waters, and our server provided us options that served us and not her (e.g. offering to give us another one of her tables so we could dine in more space, offering us more mimosa pitchers way after we had finished eating). Everyone in our 10-person group enjoyed their food, and of course, the unlimited mimosas. The white trim adds a nice ambiance as well, particularly because its corner location provides nice lighting.

I visited Lido during Restaurant Week. The hostess greeted us at the door with a smile and was very accommodating. My date and I decided to dine outside. Our waiter came around to introduce himself and take our orders. I ordered an appetizer which came out almost immediately. About 45 minutes later our entrees still hadn't come out. My date had to ask about our main course and we were told that the waiter would check on them. About 5 minutes later our waiter resurfaces and assured us that our meals would be out in "3 minutes". 10+ minutes later our food finally emerges from the kitchen. I've never been a fan of waiting 60+ minutes to eat. We were very ready to leave by the time our dinner plates were cleared. I took my dessert to go.
