When we walked thru the door and announced who we were and our reservation time the host wished both my wife and myself a Happy Anniversary. The person who seated us did the same. Our table was specially decorated for the occasion and was in a perfect location for a romantic dinning experience. Our Server also greeted us in the same manner. The food was excellent and upon finishing our meal, we were pleasantly surprised by the presentation of our dessert. It can definitely compete with the great Italian food in Italy! The service was excellent. On this night it seemed that the wait staff was a little short staffed or perhaps our reservation was at an odd time and we started our meal when everyone else was winding down which presented some issues for the wait staff. The Pasta Trio was fantastic as always. I ordered the gnocchi as I usually do and it was good but quite salty. Almost to the point where I could barely taste the pasta trio items that I tried. Either way it was still a fantastic meal at a fantastic establishment. Every time we go we try a new appetizer and are never disappointed. We always say we are going to order off the menu but the pasta trio ends up being what we order. Service is excellent. The ambience and environment were spot-on perfect for a business dinner. The wine selection is well done, with something to satisfy any palate.
Portions were good size and came out fairly quickly. The wait staff were attentive but not intrusive. They had a firm grasp on the various menu items, as well as specials and could speak in detail to any questions asked by the table.

If I make reservations in the future are there dining areas I can request that have brighter lighting? In the end I have no regrets. The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and helped to answer any questions or requests we had. The menu was full of choices that sounded delicious and hard to pick from, I'd return to Kansas City just to try a different dish. While being an Italian restaurant they didn't offer the typical in Italian fare, everything was new and intriguing.
