If I had not encountered those onions it would have been perfect. My two friends were new to this restaurant - and we all loved it. The food was excellent, service friendly and attentive but not intrusive and the price very reasonable for the beautifully presented high-quality fresh food. ALl our food was wonderful. I didn't order them myself but the french fries I tried were the BEST. we had a great time.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is quickly becoming myThis is quickly becoming my go-to restaurant when I host friends coming to visit me "way out" in Bernal Heights and I want to give them a fair representation of my awesome neighborhood. The service here is not fine dining spectacular, but I think it is just fine for a friendly local restaurant. I've been here during the busy brunch weekends, and appreciated how quickly they worked to get food turned out. I've also dined here late on a weeknight and they were thoughtful in letting us linger to enjoy coffee, without feeling pressured to leave as they closed up. I was pleasantly surprised to find everything of high caliber. My friend and I split lunch of a Cobb salad and pizza, and enjoyed the fresh-baked bread at the table. The pizza came with caramelized onions, which at a lesser place might have been strewn atop the two cheeses (goat and mozzarella) -- but here, were underneath, so that the separate tastes emerged with each bite. The Cobb salad was distinguished by a grainy mustard dressing that I felt elevated the tastes of this classic.
