Diner Reviews
  • "Felt like he was doing us a favor, practically threw plates down, bad attitude!"
    Dined on 7/18/2014
  • "We had lunch at Liberatore's last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the crab ravioli, and others were pleased with the cajun chicken salad, the veal piccata (even though it's not on the menu), and the New York strip steak sandwich. It was quiet, not very crowded, and the service was a little slower than desired, but still acceptable. I expect we will dine there again."

  • "Great food in the middle of a business area. Comfortable for special occasions or casual dining."

  • "Food was yummy...we will be back. It was too windy to eat outside, but we hope to do that on our next visit."
    Dined on 7/4/2014
  • "total surprise, their crab cakes are better than those famous spots in town. consistent Italian fare, very good veal parm, egg plant rolatini, great steaks (another surprise). Liquid Libs - go for the drinks, not the food"

  • "Liberatores Timonium is our favorite Italian Restaurant. The food is always delicious, well prepared, and the service is always efficient, professional, and friendly. We love to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions here too."

  • "Had to run gauntlet of smokers to get inside, will never go again smoke permeated the inside too. We used to like this restaurant , would not recommend now."

  • "Liberatore's has great food an exceptional service. They have several locations in the area and I've heard positive feedback from friends who have gone to all locations. Would definitely recommend to others. "
    Dined on 6/1/2014
  • "The food was just okay and the decorations were very dated (kind of felt like a funeral parlor). From what I have been told, the White Marsh location is much better."
    Dined on 5/31/2014
  • "We enjoyed the food and atmosphere except for the fact that the noise level was too much..."
    Dined on 5/21/2014
  • "Even on a really busy Preakness Saturday night the food was exactly like any other night, great!"
    Dined on 5/17/2014
  • "I always like the food and the staff is very friendly. We were there Preakness night,so they were very busy. We had the great ceasar sald and the veal dish with shrimp. All was very good. Waiter did not like that we split, but we could not eat more. I always get good food and service. "

  • "Liberatore's was good not great for Mother's Day dinner. I will come back, but it does not live up to the hype of being such a terrific suburban Italian restaurant. Having said that, we enjoyed our dinners (people had soup, salad, pastas, veal and chicken), and indeed, the meals were prepared and presented nicely. "

  • "Enjoyed Mother's Day at Liberatore's with my family. The meal was delicious. I especially enjoyed the Italian Lemon cake. Noise level was ok. Only negative comment was the table placement - we were a party of 7. One of the waiters made us move our seats so that a "larger" diner was in a less obstructive place. It was a little disconcerting - after all we did have a reservation for a table of 7 people and they did know that someone would actually be sitting on the aisle. But other than that incident, all was perfect. Another important feature of this restaurant is that there are NO STEPS! Access for disabled diners is a breeze."

  • "Not one of those over the top buffets. Omelettes made to order were the high spot, but there was also the usually bacon, hash browns etc. single bowl of fruit that was usually near empty. Desserts were excellent, but it was also a small display that frequently ran out. I came away satisfied, but for 22 bucks, I probably won't go back. "

  • "When we first arrived, our waiter was very pleasant and timely. As time went on, (6:30 PM), your resturant started to get very crowded. Our other party arrive and now there were four of us looking as our menu. Our waiter arrived, took our drink orders, then took our food selections. This is where the evening took a downturn. Our meals were served and I have to mention that the special that evening (Scallop and shrimp over pasta) was horrible at best. The scallops were raw, and the sauce was as watery as it could get. There was no flavoring, just blah. The other dishes were good. Trying to get our waiter's attention went for naught. It appeared to me that he had way too many tables to wait on, and did not have the time to attend to others. "

  • "We frequently eat here on trips to Baltimore and usually are very satisfied with our experience. On this occasion, however, we were disappointed. My wife's pasta with crabmeat was not good at all - the crab had little taste and the pasta was clumped into 1 big lump. We should have sent it back but didn't. I had a swordfish special that was just ok. Other pastas were good as was a steak. The service was ok but seemed hurried and perfunctory. We will certainly return and hope that our next experience will be significantly better."

  • "Liberatore's turned out to be an excellent choice for celebrating a family birthday. The food was excellent as was the service. We will be back for sure."

  • "The food was delicious and their Veil Marsala was spot on. We started with the grilled Calamari and it just kept getting better. We will definitely be back."

  • "A day that my husband came home early from work, we decided to dine out. Open table showed me an available spot within 16 minites and we took it. Since we had to hurry, didnt look at the reviews for how to dress. We dressed casual and the place was packed wd elegantky dressed people (dinner jackets and shoes, long strands of pearls nd beautiful belted dresses). We immediately felt out of place and to make matters worse, our hostess treated us pooorly. I often saw her making pleasant vhit chat with every other table other than ours. When we ordered a anti-pasto she didnt care to explain the different kind of cheeses or the meat. All this most probably because we dressed casual. The food was great though. Would go again after dressing up."

  • "Having dined there many times (a few New Year Eve's also) I found this evening disappointing. Not busy but the noise level was louder than any other time there. Food & service was good but did not enjoy the evening nearly as much as any other time I had dined there. Will definitely give Liberatore's another chance."

  • "Our server was attentive and efficient. He was not too visible and made our meal that much more enjoyable."

  • "Food is excellent, has both Italian dishes and traditional dishes from the grille. Service is excellent. Conveniently located off of I-83, just north of the beltway."

  • "Great restaurant in Timonium! Outdoor dining will be nice in the warmer weather."

  • "Nothing spectacular, but always a reliable good meal with good service in a pleasant atmosphere."
    Dined on 4/6/2014
  • "Liberatore's in Timonium never disappoints. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is wonderful. The staff is impeccable and very respectful. They don't ever pressure you to hurry up and they are not always looking over you shoulder. With that being said, somehow they always seem to be there when you need them. I would recommend Liberatore's to anyone and love to take visitors there to show off this restaurant."

  • "Our waiter was patient and sweet and we did not feel rushed. The food was very good but not exceptional. Desserts tasted store bought. I would have expected some exceptional home made Italian deserts. Overall, a good experience. My only concern is the noise level. It was difficult to chat over dinner because the restaurant s so loud. Definitely not a place to go for a romantic dinner or a quite conversation."

  • "Great food. Friendly, prompt service. Our party of four lingered for quite a while after our meal and did not feel rushed to leave even though the restaurant was doing a brisk business that evening."

  • "I continue to return to Lib's because of the quality service, food, and ambience. It is a place to go whether with a group of friends or one special person with whom you just want good, uninterrupted conversation. A pleasant and always welcoming place to come!"

  • "The italian dishes were excellent. Clearly homemade and the sauce was great. The restaurant was more formal than expected, but our casual dress seem acceptable."

  • "Hello, I often forget about this neighborhood gem. We chose this restaurant to meet good friends for dinner. We were greeted when I walked I to the door not only by the hostess but also my favorite waiter, Basil. We were seated immediately. Drink orders were taken. Fresh bread and a delicious olive oil dip was aced in the table. I chose a house salad fit for any foodie along with crabmdat and linguini. It was amazing! Everyone enjoyed their dinners. We only had room for one dessert. We chose a BINDI peach sorbet. You can't get any better sorbet this side of the ocean.. Our waiter Basil was attentive and very professional. We will return soon"

  • "Food is consistently very good and Maureen is a fantastic server."

  • "We have been to this restaurant a number of times. This was a very disappointing experience this time. First, we ordered Calamari which came out undercooked. Then, I ordered the Augie salad and specifically requested that it be tossed with VERY light amount of dressing. It came out saturated in dressing. I really should have sent it back, but felt badly because we had just send the Calamari back. My fault, but nevertheless, it made for a very unenjoyable meal. The good news...the waiter was very nice, professional and did a fine job. Certainly not planning on rushing back."

  • "My family went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. We had a wonderful experience. The waitress was wonderful. She was attentive, but not annoying. All of the meals and appetizers were excellent. I received a complimentary slice of cake which was extraordinary. We also had a bottle of wine and cappuccino. It does get crowded, so I advise going early. When the weather gets nice, they have outdoor seating."

  • "My fiancé and I had eaten here once before and it was a decent place. This evening however, the service was horrible, the food was tasteless and over done, and the service was awful. There wasn't much of a difference between the first time and this time. Both were Saturday nights, both nights were busy, and both nights had a steady flow of people. For what ever reason, this night was lacking everything special that would encourage anyone from coming back here. Both my fiancé and I made the decision to not return to this restaurant. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed."

  • "As usual better than any restaurant in little Italy"
    Dined on 3/1/2014
  • "I am hoping that my experience there this past Friday evening was a blip on the radar screen! The restaurant was very busy when we were there with our 7:30 reservation but service was slow. There is also a problem with much of the staff not speaking English. We sat down and a gal was bringing us a doggy bag (and didn't understand us when we said it wasn't ours). Staff leaned over us to serve others and it was very awkward. I ordered the house salad which was a big pile of romaine and iceberg. With a cherry tomato. And maybe a slice of cucumber. The entree of Crab Ravioli did have nice lumps of crab meat but the sauce had no flavor and the ravioli had obviously been frozen before and the texture of the cheese inside was lumpy."
