  • "I reserved a booth the day after Valentine's Day for a romantic evening. The place was packed as expected but not to noisy. The wine and service was excellent. My steak was under cooked, but the waiter graciously returned it to the kitchen. After the steak returned, it was excellent. My guest's meal was excellent. The booth was definitely the way to go. The tables were packed close together with lots of server traffic between. After finishing our meal we moved to the bar where we enjoyed live Jazz with additional glasses of wine. The music and ambience at the bar was most enjoyable."

  • "The ambience was fantastic. Menu was limited because of the occasion. Expectations from prior visits to revisit the same dish had from last visit was disappointing when found limitation of menu. Service was a little slow that night. Any other night it would be fantastic."

  • "There's a special menu for Valentine's Day which has many choices. My linguine with crab and shrimp in an old Bay marinara was delicious. And there was plenty to take home. My husband thought his salmon was a bit overcooked but was still flavorful and fresh. As usual we shared the lover's salad which is a favorite of ours. The coconut cake is one of the best I've had. I think it's Liberatore's best dessert. The tiramisu was dusted with chocolate so it didn't have the coffee taste that we love so it's not one of our favorite tiramisu's. It's tasty, but not what we expected in a tiramisu. All in all, the dinner more than met expectations. On Valentine's Day every lady gets a red or white carnation - which is a lovely touch."

  • "You can count on good service and good Italian food at Liberatore's in Bel Air. Don't be fooled by the location, the restaurant is beautiful and once inside you'd never guess you were in a strip mall. The bar atmosphere is also very comfortable and casual for drinks with friends or simply a drink while waiting for a table."

  • "Had to send chicken dish back for reheating. It was served cold. Menu description said lightly breaded yet there was so much breading that it soaked up oils and did not taste as good as it could have been. I regret ed ordering that dish. Others in my group were satisfied with their meal."
    Dined on 2/9/2014
  • "The food we got was not memorable. It is just subpar. Bel Air is lacking in good places to eat."
    Dined on 12/30/2013
  • "We dine hear a good bit and every time we have a great experience. The service has been really good each time and the food is served hot and delicious. Skip the chain restaurants in Bel Air and go to Liberatore's. You can't beat the quality for the price."

  • "Visited Liberatores for lunch while staying with relatives. We were heartily greeted and welcomed warmly. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. The ambiance with the ongoing video of Italian sites was quite fun. I would readily return if we are in the area again."

  • "Took the family to celebrate my husband's birthday. All of us were pleased with our food selections. Wait staff was very courteous and efficient."

  • "I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. It takes me back to a time as a kid in New York where you walked into a family owned Italian restaurant and you were truly treated as family. My husband and I would get off from work on a Friday. Like most work weeks your tired. However, when you pull on the parking lot of Liberatore's, we become more energized. You are greeted by Uncle Danny and his family. A hug or a handshake is not a formality with them.........it's genuine. I enjoy watching so many happy couples and large groups come in for a private party or a large family dinner. Liberatore's is my #1. I hope they remain there a long long time."

  • "Dinner with 8 people Restaurant was busy as expected on NYE Service was good - waitress Danielle was attentive She made good recommendations for pre-dinner drinks to appetizers to main entrees Accommodated request for modified sauce on a dish Bruschetta with crab appetizer was delish Even with limited menu for holiday - great choices We had steak, lobster and crab, crab cakes, eggplant parm, all great! Definite return"

  • "We were very glad we made reservations because the restaurant was packed. We were seated upstairs which was a more intimate setting than in the main dining room. However, the noise level was still quite high. The imperial stuffed rockfish was fantastic. My husband got the linguine with crabmeat which is always good. Service was top notch. Our only complaint was the noise level which made conversation awkward."

  • "Hostess was sullen. Waitress was friendly but seemed new; didn't mention specials and forgot things. Food was good but not spectacular in any way. Nevertheless, it is a cut above most other restaurants in our area."

  • "I've been to Liberatore's in Timonium but just tried the Bel Air location. I actually liked the food and atmosphere a bit better in Bel Air; although both locations are good, and the menus are basically the same."
    Dined on 12/7/2013
  • "This was my fourth visit to Liberatore's in Bel Air. I think the place might be a victim of it's own success. There is always a wait for a table regardless of what time reservations are made. The food is good for the price, but service is on the slow side. Not sure I'll go back again."

  • "I have gone to this location for years now and have watched the business drop as one chain after another opens up around it over the last couple of years. It is a shame that people don't put more value on a local family restaurant that serves the finest food in the area. Their food is always excellent and the service is always of the highest level. They have an excellent wine list that accompanies their offerings perfectly. Their signature Veal Liberatore never disappoints. If you have passed this restaurant by for the many greasy mass produced chain restaurant meals in close proximity, then it is time to give them a try. You won't regret it for sure. Bon Apetit."

  • "We recently celebrated our parents' 50th wedding anniversary at Liberatores in Bel Air, MD. It was a great evening from the time we arrived until we had to head home. Our server, Steven, was warm, friendly, very professional and conscientious of the special needs of a couple in our party. The food was outstanding and we left having eaten too much because it was all so good! Thank you for a wonderful family dining experience."

  • "I was taken promptly to my table in the absence of my date, and well-served while I waited for her arrival. The salads, appetizers, and entree's were great. The only snafu was a frozen pumpkin cheesecake, but the server offered me a smaller piece of anything else with a box of thawing cheesecake for later, in lieu of my original request. Great service recovery there! As always, Liberatore's was predictably excellent, although the live karaoke wafting upstairs was a bit loud for my taste. The people in the bar seemed to enjoy it however!"

  • "Food was excellent and came fairly quickly considering how crowded it was. It was a Friday night so our waitress had many tables to cover but could have checked in more often. We love coming to this restaurant!"
    Dined on 11/22/2013
  • "Our server was energetic. Food was hot, tasty and plentiful. Only concern was that we were seated upstairs right next to a party of about 25. LOUD and OBNOXIOUS!! I love the openness of the venue, but sometimes you want a quiet cozy corner booth for a romantic dinner, maybe this isn't the right "Italian" resturant to go to in Bel Air for that kind of Saturday night out with someone special. But will keep them in mind the next time I get together with my Soccer Hooligan Buddies if we need a place to go blow some steam off and get some grubb."

  • "We dine here at least once a year for a change. When we return we remember why. While the food has been outstanding, the restaurant is always loud and noisy. It's difficult to have a normal conversation with guests seated at the same table. I always had the impression that the restaurant is searching for an identity and can't decide if they want to be known for elegant, fine dining, or a hip, sports bar with food. The bar area is nice if you want to grab a bite to eat/drink. As for dining, the food and cocktails aren't inexpensive, but with the noise and big screen TVs, I feel like I'm dining at TGIF or a Dave & Busters. I wouldn't select if you're looking for a romantic atmosphere. But probably a good venue to catch the Ravens game!"

  • "Liberatore's was the perfect restaurant for my daughter and her boyfriend to have a special dinner before homecoming and for the parents to have a completely separate dining experience in the bar.Reserved a table for the couple in the dining area far from the bar where we sat but could be on site to get them to the dance. The staff did a fab job making the young couple feel grown up and worked behind the scenes to coordinate bill. The teens had their favs (chix parm & pasta bolognese) delicious and not expensive. In the bar, we had great wine, beer and food. When a dinner arrived under cooked, the owner came by personally to take it back to the kitchen, sent over some meat and cheeses while we waited, and brought back the dish himself."
