I had the bone in rib eye and my wife had the filet mignon. We both felt that this was the best steak we have ever had. The mashed potatoes and scallops were also superb. The staff were friendly and professional and the restaurant was very nicely laid out. You have truly deserved the outstanding rating that you have. We will be back!
The surprise of the evening was a decadent moist dark chocolate cake presented with a candle for our anniversary. What a treat, and the very best chocolate dessert we have ever eaten. The service was absolutely TERRIBLE (yes in all capital letters). It took 15 minutes for the waiter to even come to our table, he forgot our bread, asked us to repeat our order 20 minutes after he originally took the order, and forgot to bring out my dessert. It was a complete disaster from start to finish. What should have been a 1.5 hour dinner took 2.5 hours!!! NO JOKE! I don't know what the issue was this time, but usually the service is good. The tableside Caesar salad preparation is great, and the selection of desserts is yummy. Fantastic steaks served on a sizzling plate with delicious sides. Their cheesy bread and onion rings are to die for - all of the food we have tried over the years has been excellent. The sides, if you order the small, are tiny. Our side of seasonal veggies, for example, arrived in a bowl that was about 3 or 4 inches wide. LGS 2 claims to fame are their aged prime steaks and their made at the table Ceasar salad. I ordered a Caesar salad mashed potatoes and rib eye steak medium rare. for $41 the steak was smallish. The flavor was so so but not what I would expect of a "steakhouse". The caesars salad dressing had way too much lemon in it The lemon overpowered the dressing.
