  • "My husband and I recently had Easter brunch here. The food was pretty good and the service was friendly and attentive even though they were busy. I would definitely go back for brunch or a casual meal and would reccomend it to others for the same. "

  • "Enjoyed a lovely and delicious dinner with excellent service. The lunches and dinners are always consistently good and the food is displayed so elegantly."

  • "We have been going to Lexington Cafe for years. We were away for 10 weeks and had dinner with family a few nights ago. Something has changed drastically and not for the better. It was quite poor."

  • "Our Lexington experience was fabulous! For dinner, I ordered lamb, my husband ordered the skirt steak accompanied by chop salad with beets and goat cheese. Flavors and texture were spectacular and meat perfectly tender and juicy. Wait staff were pleasant and attentive - water glasses routinely refilled and used dishes discretely removed. The wine list offered commendable choices and met expectations! While the ambiance suggests romance, it does cater to families w/children. Pleasant experience altogether!"

  • "Perhaps it was just an "off" night for the cook but I have been dining at Lexington Square Cafe since it opened many years ago, and this was the first time that I had a truly taste-free meal. The black bean soup was bland, and the tuna tacos were also very bland, accompanied as they were by only a thick pink mayonaise that also had no taste. Sometimes restaurants think no one will notice when they cut back on their kitchen quality, but we do notice! Hopefully, our next try will be better. The staff is absolutely wonderful, so I would like to food to complement them."

  • "friends and I always pick this restaurant for a wonderful Sunday Brunch and is our favorite place to meet and enjoy the food and service."

  • "Very noisy restaurant with less than adequate service. The staff does seem to try but there must not be enough of them."

  • "Even though it was very busy the service was very good! Also, it was so nice not to feel rushed through dinner"

  • "My food was warm at best and they got my girlfriend's order wrong. I would have told the staff but on a busy night we would have been there until late waiting for the right dish. Very disappointing."

  • "We went there for dinner (restaurant week); food was great so was service; it's bit surprise the portion seems too big for a nice restaurant like this."

  • "I have been to Lexington many times through the years. We had not been in a long time and decided to go for Valentine's Day. The food and service were good. It was not romantic at all, because it seems to have turned into a family spot. There were a lot of kids. They were well behaved, but it was not a romantic vibe. Next time we will bring out kids."

  • "We celebrated a family member''s birthday here and it was a great success. We had fussy eaters who got plain burgers and more adventurous eaters who chose from the varied menu options. The food was nicely presented, plentiful and perfectly cooked. The server was attentive without being intrusive. All in all, we were very pleased with our evening and plan to return."

  • "We live in Mount Kisco and come here a few times a year. Love the outdoor dining, but also enjoy both the dining room and the bar scene. The food is varied enough for everyone to find something, the specials delicious and the service is always good. Come for a drink and an appetizer or a special occasion or just lunch with a friend....I enjoy the steak wrap, the rock shrimp appetizer, the flat bread pizza, any salad and on the off chance that there is still room, any dessert."

  • "Went to dinner with 4 other ladies and had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and we were able to sit and chat for 3 hours. it was very nice not to be rushed. The service was outstanding. Three of us had the basic grilled dinner and everyone liked the choice of sauces that was given. Their cappuccino was very good too."

  • "Very nice restaurant and the service was great. Daughters entree was good- mine average at best. I ordered the filet mignon and it just wasn't very good. No flavor and a dry texture even though it was medium rare. I would have been better off with the burger at one third the price. Chocolate dessert was delicious. I will go back and give it another try- have been there before and food is generally very good-Just disappointed in the filet"

  • "Nothing super special here, just good, yummy food every time we come. It's perfect for lunch and even a casual dinner. I am never disappointed when we dine here. The service was solicitous and helpful. I didn't appreciate clearing the table until we were all finished eating (rather than take the plates of those finished eating), but that's an enthusiastic clearer and I can't fault him. He should be told, though. I always reco lex square cafe as a safe, solid choice."

  • "Ease of making reservations on-line with a confirmation e-mail. Excellant service and respectful, polite staff. Food is very good with generous portions. Pleasant dining atmosphere. I have also been here for group parties and had a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend to friends and family. They will not be disappointed."

  • "Have been here many times, but Sat night seemed to be a challenge in kitchen and service. Very long wait to place order, then one of us got the skirt steak ordered but it was cold. Hard to get waiter to send it back, then another very long wait for it to be reheated. No one asked about a second glass of wine. Almost two hours for a glass of wine, entree and shared dessert. Other nights have been far better."

  • "This place is so good and reliable! I almost take it for granted, but shouldn't. The food and service are always really good; it has very open and pretty space, and of course really good food with an interesting menu of light and complete dinner options, fish and meat, salads and interesting flat-bread pizzas, good soups and excellent burgers. You should go!"

  • "Prepared grilled and rare as requested. As a fish eater this was outstanding and broccoli rabe substituted for potatoes with fresh string beans cooked perfectly and not over cooked. Server was attentive with the good suggestion of the salmon. Have dined here before and will continue to do so. IN the past I have the grilled scallops which are also fresh and prepared well."

  • "The food at this popular eatery has been steadily going down hill. Food is messily plated, sloppily served and bland and tasteless. It appears that the kitchen has given up. We would not recommend."

  • "This is the place to go for great food, perfect for dinner with a friend or a romantic date or even a work dinner. Consistently excellent food, nice service, nice atmosphere. A little loud when it's busy or if there's a party upstairs. Still, classy and tasty. Prices are high for entres but worth it, and you can always get a sandwich or salad. We go here often and have never had a bad meal. I've also been to a party here and it was great."

  • "I love this place. We've frequented Lexington since it opened and it never disappoints. Great vibe and decorated so festively for the holidays. We had drinks at the bar to start and moved to our table. Our server was attentive and lovely. The short rib tater tots were delicious as were the tuna tacos and the cod. What's so great about Lex is that you can have a delicious sandwich or salad if you want lighter fare or an entrée. Heading back again this Sunday. I highly recommend Lexington."

  • "You can always count on Lex Sq. Professional, elegant, everything on the menu is worth trying. Good place to visit and TALK with dinner companions ... no blaring music, no compulsion to be "HIP!""

  • "We have been at Lexington before and the food is always excellent. This most recent time , we went for brunch and the food was very good but the service was slow and not responsive. This was very surprising since it has been outstanding every time in the past. I was not very upset since we were not in a rush but I was embarrassed because the party I was with was there because I had been bragging about the food and service. We were all very impressed with the food and the ambiance but wished that our waiter had been more attentive. We plan to go back and hope that the service is restored because the food is so good."

  • "We went to Lexington during restuarant week anticipating a great meat at a great value. While the crab cakes appetizer and desserts were very good, the teryaki steak dish was a big disappointment. Three tiny slices of steak came on top of a heap of chinese noodles. A very chincy portion indeed."

  • "If you want to wait one hour for an appetizer this is the place for you. I think our waitress was sedated. I understand that it is restaurant week but two and a half hours for apps and entrees is a bit much. Especially when you are watching other tables eat three courses and head out in less time. I actually had to ask our editor for our food and you could tell it was sitting out in the kitchen for some time before hand. No apologies for an error or mistaken order. All around major disappointment. Thank god the food was fair or it would have been worse an experience (if that's possible). Very disappointed and nobody there seemed to care or acknowledge a major problem!"

  • "Lexington Square has always been a reasonable stand by for our Friday night dinners. Last night was not a good one for the four of us regulars. The ambience upstairs has become sterile - feeling like you are missing the fun below. Food was not up to historical standards. Salads and Muscles were good, entrees mediocre. Take the short ribs off the menu- huge slab of steamed, fatty, unflavored meat. Wait staff as always friendly, seemed rushed, out of breath, and stressed to be serving the upper floor."

  • "Original waitress disappeared. Soft drink order never came and when we noticed we were over charged on a coctail we were told the MENU was wrong and no adjustment was made."
