Diner Reviews
  • "Service was poor. Very nice but not attentative. Order was incorrect, no follow up...."

  • "We googled restaurants for brunch within walking distance of our hotel. This restaurant got mostly good reviews, the menu posted online looked fine, and the prices seemed reasonable and so we reserved a table and headed out a while later. Our server was attentive and friendly. The food was good enough but nothing memorable. Comparing brunch prices we found for other restaurants in the area, the meals seemed fairly priced. We left feeling satisfied, but we agreed that we would not make a special effort to return, with so many other opportunities in Manhattan."

  • "my boyfriend and i got the brunch for 2...at $55 total, it was a total steal!! the brunch comes with a bottle of champagne and mixers, french toast, belgian waffles, frittata and eggs bennie, and it was all very good. it also comes with truffle fries, which were tasty but had a bit too much truffle oil. the service was great, the food was wonderful, and the overall ambience, while not cozy, is very comfortable and very steorotypical "brunch-y." the food wasn't the best brunch food that i've ever had, but as an overall brunch experience, it was one of the better ones that i've had."

  • "Great little spot for a breakfast that has some intriguing healthy options (egg white omelet & baked avocado) as well as some treats for those not counting calories. Very clean and the staff was friendly. Would definitely go back!"

  • "Restaurant is bright. Food and service decent. Tables are very close together, you hear everyone's conversation."

  • "Lots of different favors - well done! Great idea for a Sunday get together- our friends loved it!"

  • "My second visit to the Lexington Brass was mixed. The first time was for brunch and the food and service was good and pleasing. The second time was for dinner. Service was lacking due to the limited number of staff for the larger number of clients. The noise level was high enough that dinner conversation was at times difficult. The food selection was good; however, it was quite salty to the point it almost verged on being inedible. The restaurant appeared to be in conflict with its bar scene and its dining footprint."

  • "Poor menu was short and repetitive. Lunch choices were just three salads and a couple of burgers. Food average. Service lethargic.Temperature cold."

  • "I usually go here for business lunches and once i went after hours. It's always been great. The food is good, the staff is polite and attentive. I've always had good experiences here."

  • "Excellent food, impeccable service, and a fun / energetic scene. Highly recommend."

  • "The duck was a great dish and there was very good service. There were a couple of wine options that were not available that night which was disappointing but not deal-breaking; the host followed up with great alternative suggestions."

  • "Tasting menu for brunch was on point, huge portions we had to take some home! Definitely will be coming back with friends."

  • "We had a table for four for brunch. It was good-definitely a good option for Midtown, where it's hard to find an authentic restaurant that doesn't cater to huge expense accounts. Good bloody mary's and acceptable beer on tap options. I think we all had the egg white omelet, and it was good. The multi-grain bread toast is really good. We shared the brioche french toast, which was scrumptious."

  • "Yummy food, attentive staff, cheery space - a trifecta"

  • "Waited for 20 min despite reservation. Food was just ok and servers were more focused taking to each other than making sure that guests were happy"

  • "With lots of options here in the city, a friend who is a local recommended this restaurant. Bloody Mary's were great. Chicken and waffles a must! Lexington Brass did not disappoint!"

  • "Lexington Brass was very large and very cool. The wait staff were friendly and very helpful with the menu choices. Our waitress recommend the pot of Mussels as well as the artichoke salad which were both delicious. In addition, we added the truffle fries and mac and cheese. The entire meal was great. I took my friend there for her bday lunch and although it was bustling with local lunch hour crowd, the food stood on its own. The sauvignon blanc was also very good, light crisp and cold. Our only disappointment was that it was a little loud for a girls bday lunch. Hard to hear conversation at out table."

  • "After an awful experience the first time at Lexington Brass, I returned after several months to give it another shot. I thought that the service kinks would have been worked out by now, but things have actually gotten even worse. It took about 10mins of being ignored before we even got someone to give us menus and ask for coffee orders. Then, when our food came out, we had regular egg omeletes when all three of us all explicitly ordered eggwhite omelets. When we sent the food back, we got the eggwhite omeletes, but the ingredients inside each omelete were wrong i.e. one omelete had goat cheese in it, but none of us even ordered any type of cheese in any of the omelets. In the end, the service stunk and the food was wrong."

  • "The restaurant I love because of the atmosphere on Sunday Morning Brunch. the food is excellent and the bloody mary buffet is incredible. the shell fish are great as well. A+"

  • "This place was very good with attentive staff and a nice ambience. It seems to be a great place to check out for an after work drink and then mosing into dinner. I was really torn between the salmon and the steak frites - eventually went with the latter and was not disappointed (however I believe I would not have been disappointed either way)."

  • "I went here for a light business lunch, and it was spot on perfect. This is my new 'go-to' restaurant in midtown east!"

  • "In a neighborhood full of great restaurants this one stands out. The service was extraordinary. The drinks imaginative. The food was a new take on traditional dishes. The chicken was some of the best I have ever had. The price fixed menu a really good buy. I highly recomend Brass. Better than any of the other hotel restaurants in the neighborhood."

  • "Walked in only to be ignored by the host. Seated at a cramped and dirty table. Very limited, overpriced menu. Never saw the waitstaff. Left without ordering."

  • "Vibrant atmosphere if a little loud. Service was attentive and fun. Decent mix of food with some nice finds (Mac n cheese with kale and the kale ravioli were delicious)."

  • "Had dinner at LB. Based on the reviews here and menu posted, we hoped for a better experience. The food was good, nothing stellar, but for lunch it would be a good place to get a bite. For dinner, and a dining experience, the food seemed far overpriced compared to the quality. But, what made the evening a mediocre one was the service. While the servers were friendly enough, their attention to detail and timing were not good and entrees came out while we were on salads and we were being asked about dessert while still eating the entree. For a dinner with these prices, I want the service to be impeccable. It seemed that servers were in lunch mode - trying to get people in and out quickly. I would say, try this restaurant for lunch."

  • "Really enjoyed the experience at Lexington Brass. The French Onion soup was different with the sherry...giving it less of a salty and more sweetness. The roasted squash salad was EXCELLENT, great choice. We split the roasted chix and salmon...both also very good. Dessert was also very tasty and not too sweet. Everyone from the hostess to the bus boy were pleasant and attentive. Enjoy!"

  • "Went there this past Sunday with girls in a bridal party for the champagne brunch. Food was SO good. Everything tasted very fresh and just made. Would definitely go back."

  • "Went here for brunch - the food is good and well prepared. There are a variety of options and they are open to substitutions, if needed! A big plus for the omelette a. I had the baked eggs in avocado with crab on top - so good! The atmosphere is spacious, which is nice. They also had a "make your own Bloody Mary" card, which I didn't do but would definitely want to the next time I return!"

  • "A colleague of mine and I enjoyed a few small bites and cocktails at Lexington Brass the other night. The ambience was lively and the service was very good. We both really enjoyed the food, especially the Octapus Salad. My colleague really liked the lavender cocktail (I apologize but do not remember the exact name) Our server was impecable and two of the manager's touched our table, to say hello and check in, this was very thoughtful and appreciated by us both. Thank you for a lovely evening."

  • "Dined here last week w a friend and split the Brunch for 2. It was described on the menu as a four course brunch tasting menu complete with a bottle of bubbly. It was a ton of food for just two people but for $55, it made the most bang for our buck. Our waitress described each menu item perfectly. Each plate came out one at a time, warm, and better than the next. Would have preferred if the two egg dishes came our before the two sweeter plates. That would be my only complaint. Our waitress was phenomenal. Can't remember her name but she had red hair and was as sweet as can be. Overall experience was what you would want from a weekend brunch location in Manhattan."
