A word from Lewy Nines CAFÉ at River City Casino & Hotel
With a respectful and decidedly playful nod to King Louis IX of France, this irreverent and elegant retro-twist on the classic ‘50"s diner features a more fashionable edge to the traditional diner look, plus a menu of café classics sure to satisfy comfort-food cravings for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week.

Black alligator-skin counter stools line a unique curved countertop in the 110-seat dining room, complete with traditional vinyl booths, tables and chairs, where guest can indulge in classic breakfast skillets, fluffy Belgian waffles and pancakes. Or, enjoy delicious lunch and dinner offerings ranging from homemade soups, “big salads” and hearty sandwiches to traditional spaghetti and meatballs, crispy fish ‘n’ chips, and chicken pot pie. Featured menu items include 1904 World’s Fair favorites, such as meatloaf with mashed potatoes, and Wiener schnitzel.

Diner Reviews
  • "The one thing that will keep customers away and soon deteriorate this once good restaurant ... food prep was well below par for this 3rd and likely to be Final visit."

  • "Decor is plain and the menu was nothing special but the food quality and taste was extremely good and prices were reasonable. The prime rib was a bit rarer than expected but was done well enough thhat it was not worth sending back and the au jus was excellent. Portions generous as well."

  • "Waited 30minutes just to order drinks. They weren't even busy. Our server was a doozy. Food was just ok. I highly do not recommend this place."

  • "Our first time at this restaurant was in August of 2012 and with a large group. We had a good experience. Good service & food. We returned in March of 2014 for our wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was as we remembered it and service was ok. This time we both ordered the bacon wrapped filet and it was very disappointing. Small in size & not tasty at all. Even the bacon wasn't good. Broccoli was not edible. We did not tell our server we were not happy with the quality of the food and we left disappointed. I think we may return someday but will not order the filets."

  • "My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and your special New Year's Eve dinner. The food was delicious, and the price was right. Our waitress was very good at her job and quite humorous."

  • "Food is always good at Lewy Nines Café, Service can be a little slow when its busy. I dine there three or four times each month and always enjoy it."

  • "My husband ordered the pot roast! It was wonderful! It was sooooo big that when he finished eatting it looked like he had not even started! He had another two meals from it! A friend had the roasted chicken and two of us had the hamburgers. All was very good! We'd go back again."

  • "I usually give a restaurant a second and third chance if my first meal was bad, but there was not one good thing about 5 different meals so I will not be back. I had chicken parm, which was deep fried beyond recognition, sauce to the pasta tasted like it came straight from the can and was cold. My spouse had the half roasted chicken which was cold, no flavor and the broccoli had a funny mineral taste, the other guests had soup and the salads and one sandwich which was okay. The cream to the coffee curdled. The desserts were adequate in size and flavor. The service was slow and we rarely saw our server, even though she did warn us she had a table of 11. I expected a lot more out of this place."
