- Latest dining trend in Calgary?largemargVIPDined on 11/22/2014Only downside was being told we had to be out by a certain time before we'd even sat down...which I have experienced at a few Calgary restaurants of late. When you pay that much money for a dinner out, you should be able to enjoy it at your leisure. Especially when we noticed several empty tables as we left - hopefully not the newest trend in Calgary dining.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Good food and good wine. Very nice setting.keggoodfoodDined on 11/22/2014The wood burning fireplace was a nice touch. It made the restaurant feel warm and cozy. Our appetizers were good. The flavors were good, but not outstanding. There was way too much cheese on the scallops, but the mushroom sauce was good. I had salmon as the main course and it was okay. It was slightly undercooked even though I asked for well done and it was over spiced. The taste of nutmeg was almost too overpowering, otherwise it would have been much better. My husband had the rack of lamb and he said it was okay as well. The wine was expensive for the quality, but overall it was a good experience.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Excellent Service and Food - againfoodieVIPDined on 11/22/2014This place is always consistent with excellent food and service. We had the trout and the duck special. For dessert we had the chocolate tower and the crème brulee. All were fantastic.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Service was HorribleOpenTable Diner Since 2011Dined on 11/18/2014The food here is great. The service was horrible. Extremely slow and forgetful. If you have all night to have dinner and don't expect anyone to check in on you or follow up with requests, then this is your place. The food was very good except for the pre-dinner buns that I believe had been heated an hour previously and due to the poor service had never made it to someone's table - they were like hockey pucks. We ordered after dinner coffee and tea and after half an hour had never received it.
- Amazing steak and awesome service.AppreciatesdeliciousfoodDined on 11/15/2014Great restaurant. We all had the filets and were not disappointed! Other steakhouses charge at least $3.00 for sauce on the side.... They included wild mushroom, peppercorn or bernaise with the cost of dinner. The sides were delicious as well. Save this one for a great date-night. Guaranteed to get the girl!! :)Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Food was great!CaboDined on 11/15/2014Our food was really good. We tried to order 2 different wines and they where not available so we asked if maybe they had this wine or that wine that wasn't listed and they did, Frustrating that we had to do that. Service started out pretty good, but other people who came in after us received there wine, main course before we even received our appetizers???? We had brought friends out with us so this didn't make the great things we have said in the past about the service seem right. I would go again as this could have been a one off, as our past experiences have been really great!Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Great food BUT very indifferent poor service!WesselDined on 11/14/2014The service very very indifferent and not satisfying.I had to pour my own wine .I said with the reservation that it was my wife's birthday but nobody seemed to take note of that. There was no interaction from the server which I found unfortunate. She was just doing a job and nothing more The food was exellent as always!Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- A VERY PLEASANT EVENINGdisappointedDined on 11/13/2014It's nice to find a neighbourhood restaurant that offers a pleasant evening meal out. Some of their specials are a good idea too - like the half priced appetizers and no corkage fee. We did find the service not quite up to scratch- a bit slow but other than that no complaints. We sat by the fireplace too and that felt really good on such a cold night. I think next time we will try their beef menu as I understand they are known for that!Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- DonDonsafanDined on 11/12/2014Overall the food tasted great but the Coquilles St. Jacques was cold. and the service was a little slow. I know the potential is there and I'm going to try lunch again next week. In fairness, our server was new and perhaps with a few more weeks under her belt she will do much better. She was very polite and eager to help.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Great as usualJandSDined on 11/7/2014Located in the centre of a small outdoors neighbourhood mall, leVilla stands out as a small village restaurant. The interior too carries out that theme. The food is also well presented, and always appetizing. Selection is extensive. Unfortunately, while its great for groups, that attribute can also be distracting if a particularly loud person(s) is in that group. The rest of the good points helps overcome such an event! This is true in most eateries.Special Features:
- Great experience!SteakloverDined on 11/4/2014Delicious! The server was knowledgable and efficient. The good was great. We went for a steak and got so much more! Would definitely recommend to others! It's a neighborhood hidden gem!Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- OpenTable Diner Since 2008Dined on 11/3/2014We live in the area and often dine at Le Villa. The food is always good and usually so is the service. Unfortunately our last experience was less than desirable. While the food was good, the service was very slow, inattentive and sadly lacking in any kind of personal connection. One of the members of our party did not even get what she ordered. Perhaps she was overloaded with tables but I guess that should be a consideration of the management. We will give it another chance but just a heads up!Special Features:
- Great food, mediocre serviceGuilleDined on 11/2/2014We went as a group of six to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is well decorated inside, and has received an expansion to what was the former patio. The restaurant tends to seat people on the expansion area, which may be great during summer days but has little to offer on nights (and colder days). While the food was great (the ravioli were superb), the service was less illustrious. Our wine order was delayed to the point that we had finished our appetizers before they had to be reminded and served our wine. In addition, servers were not readily available, requiring us to go to pay to the front as nobody was stopping by to receive payment.Special Features:
- Bad serviceGreekDined on 11/1/2014This was not my first visit to LeVilla. My family and I love this restaurant. But, this time servuce was terrible. We were the first customers to arrive for dinner, our order was taken in just a moment, but everything we ordered took ages to arrive. The worst part is that our server did not even try to approach us with an explanation. I had to almost jump on the table to get her attention. When I complained about the delay, she just said "I'm so sorry but we are very busy". What an apology to be given to the first customers that arrived after the restaurant was open!Special Features:

- Always consistentMacBobDined on 10/28/2014LeVilla is a neighbourhood gem. Food quality is very good and always consistent. LeVilla menu selection from appetizers, salads/soup and entrees is very good. Generally the service is very good with waiters being attentive. We would recommend.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Another great dining experience!EatHereDined on 10/17/2014This restaurant always delivers top quality food and is always consistent. Fresh quality ingredients and amazing service.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- karlDined on 10/17/2014Bison short ribs were great. Best mashed potatoes I've had at A restaurant. Ravioli was great too, good food overall, it was a good place to bring a date to. Romantic atmosphere, I would rate 9/10 easily.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Top notchWillreturnDined on 10/15/2014All of our guests gave rave reviews about the food. The server was friendly, responsive and right on the mark. The ambiance is lovely with the fire place....a wonderful evening on a cool fall night. You can count on LeVilla to meet and exceed expectations.Special Features:
- Neighborhood GemBeMyValeDineDined on 10/11/2014My wife and I went for Thanksgiving dinner with my dad who is 90 years old and his girlfriend who is 82. We were placed in the indoor/outdoor dining area that made you feel like you were outside in a backyard but still in the restaurant. You could see the beautiful tress and when the window were open you can smell the fresh air. The food and service was excellent and we will come back again.Special Features:
- not the bestOpenTable Diner Since 2012Dined on 10/10/2014I expect better for the price. The vegetables were cold and the potatoes were raw. The steak was good.
- Family diningCloudDined on 10/8/2014Goat cheese salad was poorly done. Too little olive oil and too much vinegar. Goat cheese was soaked with vinegar and veges weren't crunchy. Shrimps in avocado salad didn't taste fresh. Main dishes were up to standard. Quite disappointed with the salads.Special Features:
- DmDCVIPDined on 10/3/2014This is a great restaurant. I am a long time Open Table user and a frequent and long time diner at LeVilla but this is my first review of LeVilla (I am reluctant to share the good news - I'd hate to have too much trouble getting a reservation!). Our experience there has been consistent - excellent food, very good service, absolutely lovely setting. I keep going back because its so consistent. Couldn't recommend it more highly.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Amateurish at any priceSecretfoodieVIPDined on 10/3/2014Just 4 of us for dinner. Food as I remember was good. Service was very amateurish. Server was a nice young lady, but salads arrived before appy's, main courses arrived one order was wrong, and to top it off we had to wait a good 5 minutes for cutlery our food got cold. Yes cutlery. They ran out and where cleaning it. I was blown away. This is not an inexpensive place. Poor wine wine list and no sense of basic service. Had not been there for a couple of years and I remember why. Many other choice in the area.
- priceyOpenTable Diner Since 2013Dined on 9/20/2014The food was delicious, however the price was a bit exorbitant for the casual service we received. This place is definitely not set out for a romantic evening; we had to sit across from each other, as there was no place to sit side-by-side, which was disappointing.Special Features:
- Nearly empty for good reasonDisappointedDined on 9/19/2014The restaurant section was near empty and we were sat at a table directly under an air conditioning vent. We asked if it was possible to have it turned down and were told yes, nothing changed. Then we were told it couldn't be done and no offer was made to move us to another table. Starters, arrived cold not cool but cold. The kitchen prepared food and left it to sit before service. Quality was modest at best. The staff certainly had plenty of time to visit but no time to serve customers their food. I sent the food back, something I have not done in a restaurant in almost 2 years. The dishes were willingly replaced without problem. Main course Cesar salad was almost flavourless, lamb was fair. Will not be back. Price exceeded quality.
- A memorable eveningCochraneFoodieDined on 9/17/2014A special occasion - my sister's birthday, a visit from my brother and his wife from Ontario and a chance to spend some time with our 95 year old aunt was made even more special by our server who was just lovely. She even supplied us with a birthday dessert and a round of dessert wine. The food was great - from the prime rib to the steelhead trout. Just a perfect evening.Special Features:
- Awesome as alwaysFrankVIPDined on 9/13/2014One of our favorite restaurants. I like that you may bring your own wine. We brought a nice one from our cellar which paired really well with the Prawns with Spicy Peanut Sauce and the Beef Tenderloin with Peppercorn Sauce.Special Features:
- LeVilla always deliversscaricariDined on 9/13/2014We are regular customers at LeVilla and have never been disappointed with any dining experience we have had there. The food is fabulous.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Consistent qualityDavidBDined on 9/12/2014LeVilla is a Calgary oasis amid a desert of chain restaurants. The menu is relatively short but sufficiently varied to please most palates. The service is consistently excellent. Also you can engage in conversation without intrusive "music" of other people's taste.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- My favoriteCayaDined on 9/11/2014I have been dining at Le Villa for more than 10 years and it never dissappoints. The food and service are great, and the patio setting is very relaxing. It is my favorite restaurant both for informal and special occassions.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.

- OverallFooooodDined on 8/24/2014The atmosphere was great. Like the décor. Food were good quality and nicely prepared; just a little slow coming out. We waited almost 30 mins between the bread and the food we ordered. Warmed bread was excellent. Service was good.Special Features:I would recommend this to a friend.
- Yummy!OpenTable Diner Since 2009Dined on 8/24/2014We had a great time as always, we always come here for all of our special family occassions. The food was great right from the appy's to the entree's and desserts. They even made my dad a special drink for his birthday. Our server was awesome, put up with my dad's dry sense of humor and was entertaining and attentive. A really nice celabratory evening - thank you!Special Features:

- Excellent FoodfoodieVIPDined on 8/17/2014Although this place is not cheap, it is well worth the price. We had bison meatballs for a starter and then shared Pan Fried Steelhead Trout (Seared Scallop, Citrus Hollandaise, Lobster Risotto, Arugula) along with the Pan Roasted Duck Breast (Balsamic-Orange Reduction, Mushroom Risotto, Vegetables). Highly recommend both. The Callebaut Mousse Tower (Wild Berry Compote) for dessert was also a winner. I found the pecan pie (chocolate and ice cream) only okay.Special Features:
