A word from LeVilla Chophouse
Eight years after LeVilla Restaurant first opened its doors in Signal Hill, Chef Rick Chuk decided to expand his thriving business by opening a new location. Redubbing the restaurant ‘LeVilla Chophouse’, doors opened October 8th 2013 in trendy Mission.
Merging fine French cuisine with a traditional steakhouse, LeVilla focuses on featuring AAA Alberta Beef in an elegant, yet casual atmosphere. The wine list, specifically designed to pair with Chuk’s menu, features highly rated wines from around the world and the beer menu was carefully selected to highlight Canadian Craft breweries.
Chef Chuk and the LeVilla staff are so excited to join the community of Mission! Bringing the Beef to 4th Street.

  • "We enjoyed our dinner at the chophouse, but we chose an early Thursday time because the restaurant claims that they offer 50% off ON FOOD at that time. When we asked the waiter, he looked surprised and said that it was only on Appetizers. It was an anniversary celebration so we stayed and ordered the dinner for two, as planned, a 20+ oz porterhouse. We did not think that an appetizer was required with such a large dinner. The meal was tasty and served as requested, medium rare, but we were definitely not too full upon completion. The waiter did say that they would change the wording on their Thursday special and to date that has not been done."

  • "My wife and I had a nice dinner, I really liked the brandy peppercorn sauce for my steak. We really enjoyed our selfs. About half way through our dinner there was a large group that came in, they were seated close by and they were quite loud. Not the fault of the restaurant, money can by a lot of things but class is not one them."

  • "My bf and I went for a date night. I am not a big meat eater so wasn't very excited. We arrived at 6pm and it was empty. We were the first guests of the night. The waitress said it doesn't get busy until 7. The service was TOP Notch, our waitress was so friendly and helpful. And the food, beyond amazing!!!! I had a burger, which I rarely do as I find restaurants don't usually put a lot of flavor in their burgers, but I can say hands down BEST BURGER I HAVE EVER HAD. Yellow tomato's, bacon, cheese, and a very yummy sauce, the burger was so juicy and perfectly cooked, I had a side beat salad (which they replaced my fries for at no cost) awesome. My bf had a steak and he loved it!! Definitely going back."

  • "What a treat! To actually go out for dinner without loud music competing for ones attention was so nice but nothing compared to the wonderful dinner we had! We both started off with the coquille St Jacque - as neither one of us wanted to share; and it was a smart choice! We followed it up with a filet and a strip loin which both were so done to perfection we wondered why we would go anywhere else for steak again! The Creme brûlée was a perfect ending to a perfect night! We will be back and have already told all of our friends! Go now!!"

  • "Great appys, crab cakes and french onion soup. After 50mins our steak finally arrived, WAY undercooked with some pieces over cooked. The platter was to include beets, we got an assortment of stringy vegetables. The worst of it- an hour after dinner during our movie we had to rush out and find a toilet. Last time I recall that happening was in India not Canada."

  • "Great meal at Le Villa Chophouse. Food was delicious. However it was a Saturday night and the place was almost empty. Nice because it was quiet but we were initially concerned there must be something wrong with the place as you pretty much have to wait for a table at even McDonald's in Calgary on a Saturday night. However food was delicious, with good service... No complaints except the lemon drop martini was pretty terrible - seems the bartender forgot the lemon and sugar (aka was pretty much just vodka with a sugar rim). Would definitely go back."

  • "LeVilla is a beautiful restaurant inside and out (great patio). The food was foodie worthy and all at great prices. Lobster Bisque was great, Coquilles St. Jacques had he boys fighting over the sauce and the last piece of bread to sop it up. All of the steaks were some of the best in the city. However, the trout stole the show, it looked like a large piece of salmon when it came out. Probably the best fish dish I have had in a long time. Well done LeVilla we will be back."

  • "This was our second time and we had high expectations based on our first time experience. The first time we enjoyed a specialty seasonal menu which was phenomenal, this time we ordered off the regular menu. The food was excellently prepared but unimaginative. What irked us more, however, was the service -- the cocktails were sloppily presented with rimming sugar all over the stem of the glass, super sticky. Waiter seemed spaced out, we had to ask a couple of times for bread and a napkin to clean the glass."

  • "The decor looked like something from a Gordon Ramsey show (in a good way), but the open floor plan made the interior far too noisy. The Service was okay. Not very forthcoming, but it wasn't inattentive either. I had the beautiful House Speciality, bone-in, 12 oz steak tenderloin. Perfectly seasoned and cooked, buttery & tender, and served with a good helping if vegetables. However, my wife had the 8 oz filet and could not finish it. Like my steak, hers was cooked Med. Rare, but unlike mine, it was coarse, stringy & dry. The texture was like cornmeal or sawdust. It was seasoned properly and nicely presented, but compared to my awesome, mouth-watering, juicy steak, hers was a disappointment. "

  • "We both had the Signature Bone In Beef Tenderloin and it was divine. The plate was beautiful, everything on it was delicious, from the melt-in-your-mouth steak to the seasonal vegetables, and it was just the right amount to make us feel happily satisfied without feeling concurrently gluttonous. The mousse was a lovely dessert to share and I enjoyed very much the Reisling recommended by our server. My boyfriend was disappointed that they didn't have Guinness - and fair point - Guinness is great with steak!"

  • "Carb loading for the Calgary Marathon we stopped by LeVilla on 4th. We started by sharing a Lobster Bisque, it was incredible , rich and creamy, my partner neatly lost a claw going in for the last spoonful, after all I was running the race, she was simply enjoying dinner...We were very surprised after telling the waiter we'd be sharing the Bisque that is was brought out in 2 bowls, awesome service! needing a frite fix, the Parm Frites hit the spot but the star of the show was the Lobster Mac n Cheese..OMG it was good,rich cheesy goodness topped off with a huge Lobster Tail, it's a darn good thing I'm running a Marathon, this dish was a belly buster and ohhh so worth the 42.2k I'll need to run to work it off...."

  • "First visit here and were impressed by the ambience, welcome and menu. Looks totally different inside to out! Noise levels comfortable enough to chat and hold conversation without shouting or straining to hear. Excellent and helpful waitress, giving good advice. We all enjoyed our menu choices of strip loin, Chuk burger, steak Diane. Irish coffees rounded off the meal nicely. Will definitely return."

  • "There were 8 adults in our group and everyone was pleased with the meals. One significant positive of this restaurant was the sound level. Compared to "chain" restaurants (Keg, Joey's, Earls, etc) of higher calibre LeVilla was quiet enough to have a good conversation! Service was good and we never felt rushed! Highly recommended."

  • "Usually don't go to steak places in Calgary because I think I can barbecue a good steak at home but with John Gilchrist recommending the new 4th Street location we had to try it. I had the signature bone-in filet and my wife had a small filet - both were great. Of all the steak restaurants in Calgary LeVilla's steak was the best I've had! Service was also very good - prompt and attentive but not "in your face". We're going back soon to try other menu items."

  • "I met three friends for dinner, prices are high and I had chosen the restraunt so I was concerned that the food might not live up to the cost. Everything we had was great, one friend had the lobster mac and cheese; it had a delicate flavour that tasted rich but delicate not overwhelming. My second friend a steak done to perfection, I had lamb chops medium rare, excellent. If you like more vegetables you can have extra served family style for the table. Desserts were a chocolate mouse and apple tart, both very good. The food was very good, we sat in a round booth, very cosy and we could hear each other, I will be happy to return."

  • "We recently dined at LeVilla for our wedding anniversary, and found it to be very good, though not exceptional. We brought our little one along and I must say they were very accommodating in seating us in a nice little alcove where we wouldn`t disrupt anyone else`s meals. We opted for the weekday 3-course dinner special for $35, and found it to be a good deal. Steak seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the seafood was quite tasty as well. Lobster bisque soup and chocolate mousse dessert were decent but not overwhelming. Main course portions were a bit on the small side with the special, and service somewhat underwhelming for the price point, but nevertheless a decent dinner out."

  • "Our third time at this location. Food is generally very good but was a little disappointed. I wanted to order the sea bass but was told that they were substituting with another white fish. I asked the waitress what the substitute was and she replied "It's a very similar fish, I think Halibut"!! I'm sorry, halibut does not compare to sea bass for the same price - $35? I ordered the lamb instead - it was very good except the sautéed spinach that accompanied it was way too salty - I had to send the spinach back. They replaced with a vegetable medley which was very good. Overall it was good."

  • "My wife and were celebrating an event and I decided to book a dinner at Le VIlla Chophouse as we had heard good things about it. Let me just say the meal was outstanding. Robyn our waitress was friendly and gave us attentive service all night. The wine list had a good selection and the prices were very reasonable compared to many restaurants in the city. We both ordered the Bone in Filet which is the house Specialty. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and were very tender and flavorful. The Filet's were paired with mushrooms, a potato gallette and vegetables all of which were delicious. I would give the restaurant tops marks for everything. One of the city's best restaurants for steak. Dmac"

  • "We visited this restaurant for the first time last Friday. The food was superb and the service was excellent. I enjoyed the atmosphere and found the noise level to be very pleasing (not too loud). I will be taking a table of 10 there this Tuesday evening (in the private dining area) and I'm sure they will not be disappointed! You must check this restaurant out - it is a bit pricey (but well worth it). If you dine Monday - Thursday, I believe they have either a 3 or 4 course chef tasting selection to choose from that is a great deal."

  • "Walking into the restaurant it feels like any other chophouse in Calgary. The price was on par if not better value than some other downtown chophouses. The food was very good using premium quality ingredients that were excellently prepared. I've had tenderloin at some other restaurants that weren't nearly as tender and melt in your mouth as I've had it here. We went here on a girls night out to enjoy LeVilla's Big Taste menu and it did not disappoint. There were 7 of us and we all loved it and would be back to try out some other items on their regular menu. We usually avoid downtown because of the lack of parking but this restaurant was right beside a parkade and if you dined there they would validate your parking for you."
