Diner Reviews
  • "My boyfriend and I wanted to go out for a nice late night dinner. We found this restaurant and saw it had good reviews and thought we try it. The service we received was beyond bad. The server took about 15 minutes to get around to speaking to us and we spoke to the buser more then the server. He was too busy running past our table to take our order and once he did take our order disappeared for over a half hour. By the time we ordered our main course we had been there for over an hour and maybe seen our server once at our table and many times at others. We made numerous attempts to flag him down as he ran by and the buser had to chase him a couple times on our behalf to get the server to speak to us. Very bad experience, will never return."

  • "We have been here several times and always had a good meal. Service has always been very friendly and the food was great. Perhaps they changed chefs, as the truffle pasta sauce was watery, the garlic bread was not good, and the salmon was plain and uninspiring. The arancini was supposed to have sausage in it, but we couldn't find any or taste any. There are so many better Italian spots in the city, it is doubtful that we would come back."

  • "Took forever to get bread, forgot our appetizer, my parpadelle was stuck together...I literally picked up at once, 60% of the entire plate. My friends pizza was not warm enough and the cheese was barely melted. The owner sat three table down from us and walked by at least twice without asking how our meal was. We won't be going back."

  • "We sat outside, which was very pleasant. There is a lovely salad (Insalata Tonia) which my husband and I often share, with green beans and tomato and potatoes on a bed of crisp greens. My husband and son had wild boar ravioli with pancetta and a tomato sauce, which is my husband's usual choice, and I had pappardelle with crimini mushrooms and parmesan, simple but delicious. Good Italian red, flavorful espresso. The owner came to chat with us and was very warm. She made sure our coffees were as hot as she likes it herself. This is our new go-to restaurant near where we live--not cheap, but doesn't break the bank, either, and dresses up an evening."

  • "Delicious homemade pasta (and truffle oil. it's incredible.) and pizza - the menu has lots to offer and I will definitely be back to try out different dishes! The wine list was also very appealing and had a lot to choose from."

  • "Loved everything, but found the restaurant uncomfortably noisy. Felt like we had to shout to each other to be heard. Food and drink were outstanding, as expected."

  • "We enjoyed our time at Letizia Fiore. The waiter was very attentive and a lot of fun. The food was great. Especially loved the wood fired pizza."

  • "Our food was good - including homemade pasta! Amazing dessert - chocolate cake!!"

  • "My bachelorette party wanted to go out to dinner, and our original reservations fell through. Letizia's Fiore had availability for a party of 8, so we made a new reservation. We ended up being an hour early and they seated us right away with no problems. That was great since about 10 minutes later rainstorm rolled in. Our waiter was excellent - attentive, but not overbearing. The food and cocktails were all delicious, and we tried just about everything! I was very pleased. Plus the location is great - outdoor dining if the weather's nice, indoor seating is roomy, and you can walk to many bars after dinner if their speakeasy isn't open! We didn't get to go there because they were hosting a private party."

  • " We are Italian and find it difficult to enjoy an Italian meal away from home but we love Letizia's and Enoteca Roma. The homemade pasta is wonderful and the pizza reminds us of Roma."

  • "This is exactly like the neighborhood trattoria in Italy. Every 'hood has one. Sure they make their own pastas and even some of the bread, sure the tomato sauce has been in the family for 5 generations, but it's no big deal, it's just what food should be. Stateside, though, a place this authentic and self-assured is a standout gem. It's not even close to my neighborhood, but I'm happy to trek out to Logan Square for it, eschewing the other famous spots."

  • "Literally, everything. The unique cocktails, the appetizers, our homemade pasta, the devilishly delicious chocolate raspberry cake and caramel cheese cake. After dinner, we went down to the speak easy and had another round because we just didn't want to leave. Our waiter, Joey, was outstanding. Everyone was incredible- even the hostess! She was an absolute sweetheart. I cannot wait to come back to this restaurant."

  • "Fiore is one of the best restaurants that we have eaten at. The service is awesome and the food is fresh and the flavors are great."

  • "Love this place and the food is always amazing. We sat inside on Saturday because we worried it would rain. Unfortunately, we couldn't sit in the dining room. They don't seat there if it is not raining. So we sat in the bakery. It was really bright and loud. Definitely wish we would sat outside and risked getting wet. It just wasn't the same dining experience. But the food was spot on as usual. Only other complaint was the bar was extremely slow. "

  • "Letizia's Fiore is a neat little place in Logan Square, with wonderful home made pasta, great specials, good wine list, and nice staff and service. Whenever I visit Chicago I always try to make a visit here for dinner. Great place for small groups (friends, family), as well as dates and other intimate meals."

  • "Nice space-- they have a whole back section that has booth seating and a cozy ambiance aided in part by a wall of clay pots. Try the organic chicken thigh! It comes with plenty of veggies-- mine had broccolini, roasted potatoes, acidic glazed carrots (to offset the richness of the Chechen) and salad. My friend had the boar ravioli which was delicious as well. Stuffed mushrooms are oily alone but pair well with the bread they serve to start. The restaurant is open late and we weren't made to feel rushed. "

  • "I can't say enough good things about Letizia's - except for that we've been twice in 5 days! Make sure to try the arancini and the mushroom pasta. You won't be disappointed as the pastas are made in house. But while the food is amazing, the service is even better! So happy we found this place - can't wait to go back!"

  • "I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at the restaurant. We were looking for something new in the neighborhood, and Letizia's Fiore reviews caught my eye. The menu is small and focused. The dishes we had were outstanding. I had the shrimp, which were excellent (they come with the shell, so be prepared for some unwrapping). My partner had a pizza, which was also very good. We shared a salad which had just the right amount of dressing. The yukon potatoes were amazing - a nice added touch to a remarkable dinner. The staff was friendly but not in-your-face. The decor is minimalist but inviting. I would definitely come back here. It looks like they have a nice outdoor area which would be fun in the warmer months."

  • "Lovely, family-run restaurant. The owners are around and friendly, and the servers treat you like family. Food is very good, with some original twists. Wine list has unusual selections from Italy that are very good and reasonably priced. Food prices are also very reasonable Lovely room. Just a perfect neighborhood place with real character."

  • "Letizia and Fabio (mother and son) have created warm hearted Italy in Logan square. That had better sum it up! From Ms. Letzia and Fabio making their choicest Italian dessert for you by themselves to the freshest insalate and anitpasti, you have a gem not known to many. Go here and experience it while it is still innocent. And tell only the discerning about it!"

  • "We had VDay dinner so there was a special menu. Overall we enjoyed the dinner even if we didnt have any choices. The special menu was great and we will visit again for the normal menu. The manager/owner there that night stopped by to see how everything was and she seemed to appreciate our feedback."

  • "Food was AMAZING....could make a meal out of apps. The complimentary bread kicks it off and before you even bite into it you can smell the amazing aroma when they place it on your table. It's soft and warm with a crunchy crust. Delish! And, like other reviewers say, they gladly bring more and more if you want it. The pics on the website didn't look like it was a very romantic place for a date but I was wrong. Took my bf for his bday and we had the entire back room to ourselves with all the candle lit tables. Music was cool...heard some Ghost Writer and the likes... then somewhere near the end they were playing old 80s tunes. Kinda strange but no harm. The owner came around and chatted with us too. A really great place. Highly recommend."

  • "My roommate and I live right around the corner and had been meaning to check it out for ages. The food was delicious and the service was good. Our waitress was the only server for the entire restaurant on a Monday night, so sometimes she was a little delayed, but we weren't in a rush so we didn't mind! Her recommendations were spot on, so she more than made up for it. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a nicer place to get some pizza and pasta paired with some really delicious wines!"

  • "We came here on a Sunday night. There were only 2 other tables in the restaurant when we arrived. For some reason, it still took the server nearly 6 or 7 minutes to come to the table. When we ordered, he seemed distracted and asked my husband to repeat his order. The food took a long time, considering the restaurant was empty, maybe 20 minutes. However, it was great! We enjoyed everything we ate. I would be hesitant to return based on the slow service. But if you have the time, I'd check this place out."

  • "We dine here as often as we can. The food is made of the freshest ingredients, homeade and fresh from the kitchen. Pastas melt in your mouth delicious! I would never order tiramisu, but here it is a "must have", scrape/lick the plate dry kind of thing. Many Italian wines you've never heard of but they are very good. Prices are reasonable. The service is good, but that isn't what brings us here."
    Dined on 8/3/2013
  • "The food was excellent. The outdoor seating enjoyable. The service could have been better. Seated outside, the service seemed slow - even getting our wine order took longer than necessary. Our waiter explained the specials, but had to be asked about the fish of the day and the day's risotto. We ordered one of the pizzas for an appetizer, along with the capressi salad. It would have been nice to have been warned how large the pizza was even though it had a very thin crust. Still, we'd go back in a heartbeat."

  • "The label "bistro" was completely inappropriate. the service was awful. sunday night. wasn't busy. waitress disappeared for what seemed like 15 minutes at a time. will not return. very disappointed in Yelp reviews, most of which recommended the restaurant. thumbs down. both."

  • "the salmon was unbelievable! crispy exterior, rich and tender body. delicious gluten-free pasta, an interesting twist on caprese salad, and a fun wine list. for an affordable meal, you can't beat letizia's fiore. i will definitely come back!"

  • "This little gem in the Logan Square area is one of our favorites. The food is excellent, the service is friendly, (ask for Lucy or Brian), and the moderately priced wine list is a nice addition. Try the arancini, the salads, and the homemade pastas. They are all terrific and moderately priced. They have a sidewalk seating area on the side of the restaurant that is dog friendly! We love this place!"
